Pre-COVID, as for rent, I think if you rent a monthly place for 10 k in both cities they will be similar. Same goes if you are paying 15 k or 25 k. The difference is Pattaya has a ton of places you could rent for 5-6 k per month pre-COVID, none of which I would have stayed in personally. I'm not a fan of crunchy pets.

I must say, I'm intrigued about the Gentlemen's Clubs. I've picked up info on ISG about Camel Toe, Kinnaree, Beach Club etc. Are these the go-to places? Am I right in saying that when you visit the setup is like an up-market soi 6 - I. E select a girl, buy her a drink, have a chat, upstairs you go?

I'll be in Pattaya in a month so I'm keen to try maybe two or three of them. I'll post reports on my visits.

Yeah, I know, some ladies never say no.

The reason you go to hookers is not why I do. I liked playing games with bar girls. Getting to know a bit of their personality, see if they are fun, like to laugh, have a sweet disposition. I just really enjoy the atmosphere and loud dance music in gogo bars. Others don't. I'm going to a gogo bar as entertainment and to kill time. I'm not rich and I'm pretty cheap but buying a gogo girl a lady drink here or there doesn't bother me as long as I get a heck of a lot of entertainment value for my money. Like Horatio I like to assess the fun factor in a girl before taking her. I will never walk in to a bar and barfine a girl the first night. No need to if you live in Pattaya. Get to know the go and go with her on her day off. Mr. E is correct you can do this without buying drinks too although it's tougher in a gogo bar than a beer bar for new girls who don't know you. A half decent looking gogo girls who doesn't know you won't sit around an hour to talk unless she sees you are popular with other girls. I used to easily justify lady drinks in a gogo bar when they were 80 or 100 baht but now they are 160 to 220 baht. I now cringe if my bar tab is over 2000 baht and that's even if I'm in a gogo bar for hours and have 5 girls with me. I'd rather buy myself a drink and tip the 5 girls 100 baht each. Much cheaper that way. If girls still want drinks over my tip I send them away to another customer to get a drink and they return within 15 minutes. I treat it like a game. I am not hurt if one of the girls I'm with goes elsewhere for a drink or gets barfined. Everyone is replaceable and if there are no girls at that gogo bar for the night there are over 1000 other bars in Pattaya I can go to.

I started the tipping over lady drinks thing in 2016 when I saw a very old man at Electric Blue never buying any lady drinks and every time girls got off stage they ran to him seeing who can get there first. Then the girls gave him a HJ or lap dance and he handed them some baht. Then I went to Windmill, grabbed my regular girl there and while her tongue was down my throat I told her I'm just going to give her 50 baht for the 15 minutes before she had to go back on stage and she was more than happy with that.

I was told many years ago by senior members when I used the term incorrectly that a Gentleman's Club is a club that has pool and private rooms to have sex. I used to call BJ bars G clubs. Off the top of my head there are only a few Gentlemen's Clubs in Pattaya. Kinnaree, Passion, and Heaven. About a year ago tons of bars started rebranding themselves as a Gentleman's Club. Golden Time is one and imo it's a gogo bar. Explorer can confirm if Camel Toe has rooms for sex and a pool. I've never been to Beach Club since it just opened but from YouTube videos it looks more like an open air disco.

Yes your process on Soi 6 is what most guys do but it's not mandatory to buy yourself or the girl a lady drink. You can just take her straight upstairs. Some bars may charge you a mandatory drink for yourself though.

I went to Camel Toe in middle of afternoon a few years ago (pre Covid). I engaged the services of a young lassie from Isan and we hopped on her motorcycle for a brief trip to a short term motel nearby. The motel was rather depressing, as to be expected, and the service was dismal. I don't know whether they added rooms but did not notice any additional space to do so. I have no plans to return.

There is a short time room of sorts on the premises, but my condo is nearby, so I have never used the ST room, which is mostly used for quickie BJs anyway.

As for a nearby depressing motel room, I can't help you there.

Gentlemens clubs have been re-opening for the last couple of months.
