You would think so. Regarding showers and water and such, I would be happy if someone could tell me which way was hot and which way was cold.

Last week I was at the APO View hotel in Davao, which is one of the better places in town. I endured a damn cold shower thinking that maybe my 7th floor room was part of the problem. Toward the end of my shower, and knowing how things work in the Philippines, I pulled the knob over to COLD...and just about scalded meself.

They proudly display "60 yrs" on their roof top. I wonder, 60 years of mislabeled shower knobs?

Went out Friday to Ayala with the regular girl. It was very crowded as they were having a banquet for the Cebu Marathon. Plenty of talent rolling around the terraces. Was nice to watch and enjoy some cold beers. Put the girl in the Taxi and headed over to a local bar for a beer and a shot and then to Viking. Lots of pretty girls as always with no pressure. Played some pool with two waitress's I like to hang out there with. Not too many guys in there for a Friday night, but still not dead. Then headed over to the Lone Star for some more beers/shots and some pool. I really like the pool table there. Chatted with a couple girls my buddy enjoy's and caught the eye of a girl. Bf'd here ST and off we went to a hotel she knew of. 300 peso's and its pretty damm nice and I was suprised. Of course I forgot the name. After a session we fell asleep and a knock on the door cost us 100 peso's to extend. What a deal. Had another session, fell asleep and then the next knock we left. So was really not ST and the cost was 700BF and 1500ST. Would do a repeat

Sunday night met my friend at the Marriott and had some beers/shots. Then we headed over to the Blue Angel Bar. I finally made it there. As previous reports have said 2 girls on stage not very into it, the both of us was surrounded by 6 or 7 girls, and not very classy. Beers were 60 peso's each. My kind of Joint! Nice pool table but too big for the spot its in. There was 3 other guys in there and they had the 4 girls that were decent looking. The other girls were not all that great, but they had good attituded. So off to Lone Star so my buddy could see his girls. Lots of girls in there last night, probably the most I've ever seen. So I repeated, same but ST was really ST as she had the examination at 700am. All in all, a good quiet weekend!

It's starting to get crowded around here with the festival starting up. My buddy is staying in a hotel room and he had problems for this weekend finding a room. Should be a great week/weekend. Will report more.

Tuesday night went out with my buddy to the Arena Gogo. Very nice place and very beautiful girls. Definitely high scale and popular with the Koreans as there were a few there. Beers were reasonable for the type of place, but at check out time there was an added door entrance fee. It wasn't a lot, but I hate being told after the fact. Thats why I will never go to Jaquar bar! My buddy bought a girl a ladies drink at it was 600peso's and 600 for mamasan, ouch! But it was told to him up front and he agreed. After a little talking, she wrote down my number and said she would meet us later at Pump. Headed to Tempatations bar and had a good time. Only second time there, but I like it for a variety. HAd a few there and headed to Pump where a friend and wife and two girls were waiting. Pretty busy for a Tuesday and had a great time sitting outside looking at all the talent coming in. Definitely seen some girls in the 9 category. Arena girl strolled up and met my friend and off he went for he said" an incrediable time" She did everything and was a good girl, no issues. He paid her 3000 peso's and will repeat. I went home with one of the girls that met us.

Wednesday night we hit Dimples, Hot Rod(for sale), Sisters, and another I forgot the name. All of them are decent except Dimples had warm san mig's so one and out. Usually there pretty cold. Then headed to my favorite Vikings Bar. HAve never bf'd out of Vikings because I just like hanging out. But had to BF one this night. She was about an 8 with big cans. Love city KTV (above Papillon/Dimples) and the two places next to each other across from Holiday Plaza Hotel (near Raintree mall), Volvo and the former Thunderdome, seem to be under the same mgmt.

The run down place which used to be called Thunderdome is now a Massage place called Chuvy chuvy. I went in and there was a empty waiting room to the right and a reception counter on the left. The lady at the counter was not friendly nor helpful. Hours 1pm to 2am, fee is 900 pesos. I would be very surprised if extra service is not available.

Love and Volvo have shows with some nudity. Volvo has a 100 p entrance fee. When I was at Volvo earlier this month there was a slender dancer with fairly large breasts – a rare species indeed. The girls won't come up to you. Pretty sure you have to request them The drinks aren't bad for yourself. I've never bought a drink for them although I'm pretty sure it's not cheap. Probably Burgos range or more for lady drink. Last time I was there I was quoted like 4000 barfine, supposedly split in half. The mamasan said the woman will take care of me the whole night and no tip needed, but I didn't really believe the women there would stay the night if no more money was involved given the clientele.

The air in Cebu is such that when coming in from the south my sinuses and throat start to tighten up when I'm still 20km out of town. Normal nose mucus is white or clear. After a day in Cebu mine is gray with black flecks. Get well away from the big towns and the air is good, as long as you're not near a coal fired power plant or something.

Baguio sits in a mountain ringed valley (thats a caldera to you geology fans)

The diesel exhaust just sits there in the bowl. Get out of the bowl and the air is good.
