If you want to go ot 588... you can say you want to go to the "Lotte Dept. Store at Cheongnyangni" -- then he'll just think you're shopping, though you don't have to say exactly what you're shopping for. Facing the front of Lotte, it's behind Lotte, to the right.

As for Miari... it's at Gireum Station (exit #10) --- but really, there's no reason to go there unless you're trying to hit up Miari so to say Gireum Station might be weird... unless... you tell the cab driver you want to go to the "Mia Hyundai Department Store", so you'll be dropped off about two blocks past the Miari entrance area.

Never heard that yet. Stripping happens in the room salons for sure as part of the room salon package.

Nothing else heard about strip yet, probably a legal problem. It will all be behind doors I guess without advertising it.

Saw some 'Bikini Bar' or sexy bar on the road near Insadong, however never tried one, so don't know if foreigner friendly. They may also have private rooms. I would assume that you more or less spend much money on drinks there without without appropriate 'return'. So I prefer deals where I know what I get. But if any fellow monger knows better, then I am happy to listen.

These are not strip joints, nor there are any private rooms that I can remember. When in Korea, I went to about 3-4 with my corworkers... they are all over the place. But its similar to the hostess bars, difference is that the girls are wearing bikinis... just talk to you. In addition, the prices are a little overboard. Deffinetely do not recommend you to go, spend your money somewhere else.

I second what Caaznlvr says about them. I have been to a few. They are generally located in the nicer areas of town. Gangnam and Apgujeong are just loaded with them. All that I have went to have been foriegner friendly (me and all white friends) as they are really not a place for mongering.

The deal: you go in and order 5beers and a crappy fruit plate (this was the cheapest thing on the menu) for a whopping $75. What do you get...to talk to a decent looking university girl in a bikini. Nice to look at but definitely not worth the price IMO.

Didn’t issue much reports recently, as I had been on several business trips wit no chance for mongering and working schedule was a bit high. Yongsan walk through

Yesterday after visiting the electronics market in Yongsan I made again a walkthrough through Yongsan RLD. It was Saturday Jan. 13th, about 22:00h.
Due to recent reports and also due to my own observation some months ago I expected an almost empty RLD.

But surprisingly I guess about 2/3 rd of the ‘windows’ were in operation. Maybe 50-60 in total. Girls are a bit less aggressive, as it was very cold outside and most kept just waving intensively.

Quality:
Of course tastes vary, but I would rate 3 of them as stunners and another 3-4 would have been ‘doable’ (not counting A-Row girls) for me. All stunners have been in the B-Rows, (mostly in the B-Row away from the station, no one in the A-Row.

On a whim the other day, I searched Emule for videos with the subject line "쇼걸" ("showgirl[s]" in Korean). The one match, which quickly downloaded, was from off something called "1090 TV," evidently a pay-per-view Korean porno station.

Intriguingly, the title of the thing was "북창동 쇼" (Bukchang-dong show). I had to get out my maps to locate Bukchang-dong. It's in Chunggu (Seoul), just to the west of the Bank of Korea, or just north of Namdaemun Market. Judging by my tourist map, you could step out of City Hall Station exit #8, cross the main street (Namdaemun-ro), and that would put you there.

So apparently this area is known for its strip shows (the gal in the video which I downloaded strips it all off and then fools around with a carrot in front of the camera, all apparently in "Bukchang-dong style"), but I will readily admit that not having explored Bukchang-dong in person, I'm not sure what you'd find there.

It wouldn't at all surprise me, frankly, if the "shows" are all done within room salons, at prohibitively expensive prices. For anything in the style of Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy, I still expect having to fly to Thailand.

I'm posting this in the hope that someone out there might find it worth following up on.
