I have not been to this forum in a while and so today it was entertaining reading, after a small hiatus, the various exchanges.

I thought I would put my thoughts for what they are worth.

1. I love Sosua. There. I said it. Someone here mentioned the four reasons and I would reiterate it. It is a) for proximity (a direct 4 hour flight for me even though the frigging Jetblue milks that privilege to the hilt), b) for the variety of food. I love hamburgers but once every two months would be fine, even three or four. Sosua offers a smorgasbord of other kind of cuisine that is not fried potato or barbecued meat, c) for the women. Starting with my arrival a long time back, I never picked (well. Almost never) from the street (a Brit friend did the intro in the beginning) for the reasons cited by many and I find women (well the girl next door is a good and ambitious goal but one can get there, with time) that are pleasant, who I can even cook a meal for, drink with and dance when the mood takes over; 4) The Beach. I tried Santiago (I could not breathe in SD) but nope, the water and the breeze does wonders for me.

2. In my previous life, I have been to plenty of places across the globe for corporate travel all the way to AUS / NZ and even Tahiti. I had to resort to speaking to the women in English in Asia which is not exactly their tongue (Bar Aus / NZ) and the language makes a HUGE difference. It is a delight when I am in front of the Fountain of Trevi, to speak to my fellow countrymen, when I rarely say "Hello" at my place to a stranger. A language is a huge game changer and I can say this based on my personal experiences. I loved Indonesia (which most would not know where to find on the map) probably the most but even there the language was a barrier. In a country, where I can speak the language, and this would be true for the whole of South America, bar Brazil, I can absolutely find a different experience, essentially because of the language but also perhaps for another reason:

3. The age thing is looked at differently in South / Central America (and of course the money an older fellow brings makes a difference too). I cannot speak for Asia despite having lived in Singapore, as I only consorted with paid creatures, available at the usual places.

For me, the language, cultural awareness and other intangibles and especially time, made it such that I can ask for recommendations and often times, it happens without it being a zero sum game for any of the women. Indeed I have even referred some of them to my friends here on the forum and they were always pleased (bar one time, several years back).

Of course, those that are not pleased with Sosua, are going to go to where they feel like but for me, Sosua is wonderful. I keep thinking about going to the "other great places" that people on this forum keep mumbling about. Hey, I guess the grass is always greener somewhere. I remember there was an English lad perhaps not even thirty then, who was the Manager at Casa Valeria which I used to frequent. He used to come knock on my door saying, "There's a young lady, waiting outside for you". Sosua is that user friendly. I recall having left him a whole box of condoms as my parting gift one time, which I am sure he used up with alacrity.

Father time says it may be time and I have a great lady who treats me very well here. All good things come to an end. Dr has been great for me. I am 68 years old now and I do not function as well I use to. Chris Rock use to tell a joke about the old guy in the strip club. Not a look I want.

My dad is 72 and came over to Thailand at the end of last year. It was like his 4th time here, but all he wanted to do this time was stay in the room and rest. It is like his mind still wants to hang as he has done all his life, but his body can no longer keep up. It really frustrated me and it was weird seeing my dad like that, but then I realized what was going on. We don't stay young forever. Even I am not out there partying like I used to. I am in the bed about 10 every night. Chick wants me to pick her up after that then she is usually shit out of luck.

If you have gone somewhere so often and can not even string 2 sentences of the local language together then shame on you. Reminds me of seeing a guy with a TON of gold on heading down to Rio. Regardless of whether it's one hour or two, as soon as you nut, the chica is putting her clothes back on. For TDL you will likely get a second one in the morning.

In Madrid you pay 50 EUR for 30 minutes which translates to one nut with all the acronyms I want: BBJ, DATY, DFK, etc. Depending on the girl, alot of that stuff is standard. None of this CBJ bullshit. 80 Eur gets you an hour and two nuts.

So yes, I would rather pay 80 EUR for two orgams and fantastic service over 3-4 k pesos for a shot in the dark and bad service. If you don't believe me, check out the Spalumi board.

In defense of those that cannot do the language, I have to state this. I have been to Bkk, perhaps 30+ times, always for 2-3 days and the only thing I could muster was "Sawasdee Krup" and "Kob Kun Krup". The beauty of Spanish is that it is a western lingo and even the script is legible and it is spoken by a load of people in more than one continent. I find it eminently useful compared to the other romance languages I speak.

Your modus operandi is akin to mine but I really have no use of hookers even every blue moon. Like Old Kool stated, after a week, I am firing blank and so it would take an enormously talented hooker, more in attitude than in looks, to get me interested but there is very little chemistry that one can count on, when you are picking someone off the street / club, whatever.

Temp, the infamous disco was called Help and I was there back in the day circa 1986. Glorious fun times. You guys are right about learning a few phrases in the local language. Seems common sense to me but maybe it isn't common. As for Old Kool "settling down" it's OK, buddy. At 67 I have slowed down quite a bit, too, and have my beautiful, busty 22 year old live-in Filipina here in the PI to satisfy. However, I still monger a little bit. In fact, I'll be in Pattaya next week to celebrate a fictitious Phil's Bday. I only do chicks that are beautiful, slim and stacked, tho. So I don't care if I pay a little bit above market. In November I will make the long trip to DR to see two old flames who maintain their sex appeal and forever magnificent ample boobage. One was a referral from Mr. T that I am eternally grateful for. FYI, one of the two in Santiago, the lighter skinned one, has had a breast reduction job and I do not know if you saw her after that. She complained, like many women of her stature and endowment, of back pain. Her mother had done one earlier, she had told me.
