I was approached by this lady while watching the dancers, sipping my beer and checking the talent. She was all business but I liked her equipment. We agreed on 1500 short time in the transient hotel nearby. Joinerfee in my hotel is 1500, way to much!

Girls who wanted to travel or girls who needed a change of pace or want to escape the winter. You can find an 8 or a 9 in at least one of Moulin Rouge or Amour on any particular trip. With a good number that are good enough to look at, and then the other half which are past their prime, or fat, and wouldn't make it anywhere in a better club in Moscow.

They are there to try to separate your money from you. The primary way of doing this is by the "wiggle dance".

1. You can say no, but it's hard. The girls will try to force you to give a 100 baht tip. Honestly you should say no if they're being overly pushy. Don't get upset, don't get angry, don't complain, just keep shaking your head and waving your arms off and saying, "no dance. " Don't lose your temper, don't lose your mood. Just shake them off. The main problem you will have is that if you're white, and the crowd in these places tends towards Russian, Indian, Chinese and European, then you're the primary target. The girls know that the Russian guys know their shit and won't be guilted into it. They know the Indian guys are a bad target as they'll just ignore them and won't drop the money, and that the Chinese will mostly not understand what's required or asked and / or not be able to communicate. So, drunken seeming Euro / Aussie / Americans are the fat, slow moving, weak member of the herd so the easy target to separate out and kill.

You should say no at least to the first few girls, and here's why. They have radar. They have eyes in their butts and if they see you stick money into another girl's panties you are inviting the lineup from here to forever, each girl in that club will make a beeline to you to get their 100 baht. And once they complete their loop then they will continue. So it's better to let the other girls see you at least putting up a fight and saying no and waving off one or two girls, because when they do that you will move down their list from "easy kill" to insert yourself somewhere among the Indian guys for difficulty. Most won't try to hassle you after that and you're free to enjoy yourself without a lot of disturbance. It's a bit different for girls coming down off of their dance cycle, as this is part of their job and at some point every patron should be kicking in something on these but if you flash the cash then they will NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE FOR 15 SECONDS. And your visit to the club will become a miserable experience of digging in your pockets. But you should come with the thought that if you are there to enjoy it, then you should have 10 x 100 baht notes and be prepared to use those for tips, and when they run out they run out. At least you can claim that you tipped enough and ran out and that's that.

If any girls try the "it's Moscow style you have to pay", tell them that you have been to strip clubs in Moscow, and you can say no (and you can say no here). You can also say ok then I'll leave after I finish my drink. The good girls will come up and ask you if they can dance for you, and you will basically encourage that by waving off the first few aggressive ones who come and wiggle their butt for 15 seconds and then demand a tip without any other interaction. So once you've established things you will be in control and can choose what you want.

2. Never, ever, accept two girls for anything. Two girls sit down and ask drinks, pick the one you like and send the other away. Don't be afraid to be a jerk. They are manipulating you by putting you in this position. Tell tag teams no completely, or to come back separately. All this does is double your burn rate. If you ask a girl out of the club she may want to bring her friend because it's "more fun". Well it's more fun for them because they're doubling the income. If girl (A) gets you to drag (B) out as well thinking you're making (A) happy so you may get into her pants, well this is not it at all. (A) is dragging (B) out so that (B) will return the favor next time and drag (A) out if (B) runs into an idiot like you tomorrow. That's all. That's what two girls is about. Trying to find a nice, fat whale, that can be sliced into edible parts so that there is no meat left on the bone gone to waste (i.e. money left in the wallet when the patron goes home).

3. ESCORT in this town does not mean ESCORT how it's come to mean anywhere else. It means the old traditional sense in that the girl will walk around with you. They know that you will misunderstand when they offer "escort". It means you take the girl out and you spend money on her. And she goes back to the club after a certain amount of time. You will probably never leave the visual radius of the club unless you spend over 15,000 baht being stupid like this. It can be good for one thing only (from your perspective), to cut off the constant demands of tips from others if you found a girl you like, and convert her drinks from astronomical back to normal price. Sometimes you can actually find a fun or interesting girl and you may enjoy a few drinks with her and who knows, maybe have a contact for another day. So if you want to spend some time with this girl and see how it goes, it may be cheaper for you to take her out for an hour. That will cost you 3,000 baht.

4. Used to be those girls could be paid extra to go home with you. Now if you propose it they will say if you take 5 hours (15,000 baht) they can go home with you. The good girls will add NO SEX to this (and they mean it). The bad girls won't say it but they also mean it. I don't know if that's being pushed from the management on down but these are girls who have worked in Russian clubs in Russia and know how it goes there. You may get a rare one who will offer something more, in this case you would have to pay the girl whatever she asks for on top of 3,000 baht per hour to the club. Anyway if you're dumb enough to take a girl like this home for 15,000 baht for 5 hours, I'm sure you'll find it very entertaining listening to her broken english as the conversation runs out of simple what do you do for work / where do you come from / where are you going next / what is your favorite place / where do you like to go here / how long are you staying / did you come here before and.... nothing more to talk about.

5. Don't feel sorry for them. I had a very new to the job girl from Ukraine who tried all the tricks on me. (a) orders the tea (this is 800 baht for a product worth about 1 baht, girl gets bonus commission for team I think because it costs nothing for the club). (b) tries to get you to go to Seduction (don't go, Seduction pays these girls to bring customers and then run the bill up) (c) tries the "two girls" thing, they imply two girls are more fun blah blah blah. Two girls is a NO GO ZONE IN ALMOST EVERY POSSIBLE CASE. If you take two girls home and are successful with this, 99 times out of 100 you will have one girl watching you with the other girl. You're doubling your cost for nothing. If you end up with two girls drinking tea in the club and then you pay 6,000 baht per hour to take these girls to Seduction where they double wham you on drinks with the hope that somehow you're going to get these girls to go home with you from here. It ain't happening and even if it did you'd be into 18,000 baht to the club and 20,000 baht to the girls. And then you'd have one girl watching you saying "hurry up" while you try to do something with the other. This is what they think about you and what they are trying to do to you so DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR THEM. These girls turn themselves into a product, so remember that, be respectful to them but they are a product, they're not people anymore. They lose their right to get hurt feelings because they are going to do their best to rip you the hell off at every turn. I actually had a girl almost cry because I made a proposal to take her home, and she went on the attack at me for even making the mistake that the princess might do that kind of thing, *after*, pulling all of the above tricks trying to burn me. Don't feel sorry for them. Yes, it's fine for her to treat you like a dumbass, try all the basic tricks to rip you off, and basically be a combination con artist / thief, and work in a strip club from a culture where it's normal to take the girls out (both the home culture for her AND the culture she's in), but in return she has no right to be offended that you're just asking if it's available. Don't feel sorry for them. Even if their upset is genuine, then it's time to wake up princess and look at where you are and set your expectations accordingly.

6. Don't take the private dances. You will pay 2,000 baht for two songs. If you're lucky and they don't short you. This will be the worst private dance of your life. It will be them standing and walking in a little circle while you watch, in a private room. Maybe touch you extremely briefly. Same thing you see on the stage. You may think you will get something more but 99.9% of the time you won't. And if you do it won't be like in Russia or in the USA or anywhere else. It will be a useless waste of your time because that girl has one goal: to do the bare minimum, and get out of there ASAP with your money. They are not thinking that you will extend so they are not ramping it up slowly, they are thinking you're going to be shocked at how bad that just was so you're one and done and they're using Russian economic thinking. Do the min, take your money, because they know already it's a crappy product and you're one and done. So why should they put any more effort into it than that. This of course is a self-fulfilling prophecy which to them proves they are right, and to us proves that Russia is always going to be mentally screwed up and never make anything that doesn't fall apart or fall down or blow up at some point.

7. Whenever they ask you how long you're staying, tell them you're in town for two weeks. They're wondering how badly they can rip you off. Lie. Say two weeks. It's for your protection. Less likely to try all the tricks on you if they think there is a chance of seeing you again (and making more money). But they may promise stuff down the road that they have no intention of providing.

8. There are a handful of rich guys coming in from India throwing all kinds of stupid money around doing stupid things because they are giddy a at the prospect of being in the general vicinity of white girls and it makes them feel fricking awesome to just be near them. One girl was bragging to me about how some Indian guy came in and took 7 girls out all day for a pool party and then just sent them back after. The cost for this is 21,000 baht per hour. So the guy probably blew 100,000 to 200,000 baht watching girls swim in a pool and suntan. Another guy came in with his wife every day and "just enjoyed good company" (I. E. Spent about 20,000 baht per night drinking with some girls). Another guy took a girl home at 15,000 baht, and gave her a foot rub and a massage. Nothing more. She laughed, said "I love my job. " This is one of the reasons why nothing much is available. Because of Russian economics, one or two idiots does this and then they all think if they sit around they're going to get the next one. So that becomes their goal and the bar is set. Thank you India. No offense but man you guys screw stuff up. This is all stuff that these guys are doing for some masturbatory feelings of status to have these white girls around. Believe me when I say their approval ends as soon as the money runs out guys. You're not leveling up somehow by rubbing the feet of a stripper / part-time working girl because she is white.

9. It's still possible to get somewhere with these girls but it's the same thing you'd have to do for a G-club girl in Bangkok and the same thing you'd have to do if you were going with standard dating. Go in there. Spend money. Make the small chat. Spend money. Leave empty handed. Return to the club the next day. Get the same girl again. Spend money. Chat. Repeat. Don't ask about going home. Don't ask about escort. Don't ask about the private room. Refuse private dances. Buy the fricking tea. Buy the fricking coconut. Leave empty handed. Go back. If the girl has taken a genuine shine to you then you should be able to tell. This is of course stupid, because if you wanted to be doing this then you should be going to bars and talking to girls there.

So hopefully this will be of use to you.

In summary: do go. Be firm. Keep cool. Know that this is all a machine to deprive you of cash. Don't be an idiot. Consider it like spending money on a slot machine. Set your budget, spend it reasonably, maybe you win something unexpected, once the budget is gone, leave.

There are such clubs in Pattaya as well, and although the Russian talent in them is not as good as you will find in other parts of the world, such as in Germany and mother Russia itself, the Russian girls working in Pattaya are hotter than the ones working in Phuket. "Escort" service in Pattaya is 10,000 baht for 2 hours, or 20,000 baht for a full day. This is what one gorgeous blonde working at Crazy Russian Girls in Pattaya told me. What we call "Phuket" is really the seaside resort of Patong, with Balgla Road being where it is at. In the evening it closes off to traffic and becomes a pedestrian street only. Banlga Road is not long and the fancy bars the girls are quite aggressive and pester you for lady drinks (orange and zero percent vodka). I found a group of smaller bars grouped in a covered area to the northern side of the road, you will see it very easily. Each bar had about six or so girls and enough room for a male companions. They all had these table where the girls challenge you to hit a nail into a sawed tabletop. You will always lose.

If you just want action slowly peruse the girls and chat to each one. Buy a drink (beer 90 baht, lady drink about 180 baht). The bar fine is between 1000.1500 baht. Paid 2000 baht for a two hours. Just got a tuk-tuk back to the hotel which was about ten minutes away. All the girls are quite fastidious, insisting and a long shower and wanting their privacy. All the girls were great with bodies that would make most men weep into their beers. Afterwards walked the girls up to the 7-eleven on the main road and got a snack. Just sat at the front of the shop and chatted. Gave then 200 for the tuk-tuk back to Bangla Road. Two of the girls gave me their number (didn't chase up for reasons given later).

Many of the girls working at the massage shops (street level) can be negotiated with for LT as well. Choose a place where curtains can be drawn for private discussions.

I went to Karon which is just south of Patong, it is smaller and most of the tourists are Russian (late November 2015). The bars are at the northern end of the beach off the large round-a-about with the while statues, walk away from the beach for about 50 meters and they are on your left. At Karon and Kata the bar fine is between 300.500 baht and the girls are about 1000 baht for short term stay (two hours if you treat her well). ST rooms are available for 300 baht, The girls are far less aggressive and quite charming, had four here and all were very enjoyable company. Very passionate. One girl took quite a while to slow down she panted hard for quite a while and wanted to stay overnight at no extra charge.

One girl was particularly nice and asked her if she would go on a tour with me and we spent four days together with the full GFE. The manager of the shop wanted 500 baht per day while she was away (I don't know why either) Bought her lots of clothes and dined out at some very fine restaurants. Was treated fantastically by her. Treated her to much attention and spoilt her nicely. Did some touring on motorbike. She was wonderful company. At the end of it all I asked her if she wanted any spending money. She said "up to you". She would not commit to any figure, so I gave her 4000 folded up which she slipped into her pocket. Spent another hour at the market with her and she did not attempt to sneak at what I gave her. I suppose she was just an amateur wanting an escape from working in the shop (where I met her). Her work companions were all on the lookout for a white boyfriend. The girls there were in their late 20's to early 30's, and all of them looked fine if I don't say so myself.

Make sure you take to boat to Ko phi phi and James Bond islands. Some tour operators are better than others, prices are around 2000 baht for the boats.

Going back in April, Thailand has a comfortable feel to it.

I agree to an extent with you that when an Indian spends its as if an economy is printing notes just for the girl. Last time I was there I saw this common with 2 groups Indians and Middle Eastern Men. Also not to put this thing to circle but only person who can or is kinda allowed to train an Indian man is his wife, else he manages to change you over a period of time. I bet you missed the spot to be at sunbathing you might have enjoyed all the girls and drinks (with no cost) since there were generous 2 weeks millionaires.

My third trip to Phuket coming up in a few days. Last time around I found some good catch away from Bangla st, with some really fresh village gals who had just arrived in the preceding months.

All my trips so far, I've been challenged with a hectic daytime non-mongering schedule (catch boat 6 am return to hotel 6 am) and tired evenings where the joy of live bands and drinking in the go-go bars have been at conflict with retiring to the room with an FL for action.And I am not a late-nighter as well. Almost always, I have sorely missed the evening scene with regrets, just to have that great time in bed with a gal at peak street partying time. This time I want all the action in the day and only drink and bar hop the nights with only a bed time pop by midnight and the assurance of some good action the morning after.

Anyone have useful tips about where can I find FLs in the daytime (If I don't find a good one for LT in the evening before)? I have skipped some real lovely ladies in the past because they only wanted ST action when i was free the next day or it was already too late and I had an early morning schedule to keep. This time around I am going to be negotiating and collecting phone numbers in the evening from the FLs I meet, for the next day. Besides that are there any bars open in the early afternoon where pickups can be found?

I hate the idea of loitering Bangla st in the daytime and want to avoid heading there if possible.

[/QUOTE]I disagree with the point that Indian guys spent so much money! This is news! I've been to phuket few times this year and last and Moulin Rouge is my favorite much better than L'Amour. The girls, at least the ones I encountered were extremely humble which I did not.

Experience in L'Amour. Infact I found a gem from Moscow there back in April and am still in touch with her till date (read my previous reports). Coming to the money, from what I've seen, heard and experienced the Russian, Thai, Colombian girls avoid.

I finally got around to arriving in Phuket. It was finally time and I was looking forward to it after misadventures in Siem Reap and Chiang Mai. Those were primarily holiday destinations and so is Phuket. Maybe I should have kept expecting that parallel.

I flew Bangkok Airways and that airline seems okay. They call themselves Asia's Boutique Airline. I'm not quite sure I see a differnce. Perhaps I need to see the horror of local budget airlines first? Seat pitch is probably better than US airlines and they have a basic lounge available to economy passengers in Bangkok (no bathrooms).

Upon arrival in Phuket, I had my first decision to make. To shared van or not to shared van for 180 baht. Shared van would have meant a stop in the middle with transfer to other van plus tourist upsells. In the end, like most times, my desire for convienence won out. I paid 800 bahts and went through the confusion of no taxi lines outside. Eventually, somehow, after a period of time, I did get a taxi based on the prepaid voucher from inside the airport.

I checked into Royal Phawadee Village, which I decided on based on forum input. They give you a nice pamphlet now indicating how regretfully there's construction taking place next door and it's not their fault. I knew about it since they even e-mailed me about it. Of course, they e-mailed the day after they charged you! I might review it more in the hotels thread.

So, after checking in, I set out to explore. That's the first thing I like doing: getting a lay of the land. I thought I'd walk around Beach Road and eventually Bangla. There were suprisingly very few calls of "Tuk tuk!" and "Massage! Which in Siem Reap happened about every 30 seconds. I grew a little concerned: am I an undesirable customer here, haha!?

This was around 7 pm. I didn't see any FLers to speak of, around beach road. I walked through Bangla's walking street stretch and frankly, I couldn't see what I was doing here with the masses of tourists and families, and families with children, and families and women in headscarves and burqas (seriously, what are you guys doing on Bangla and on Paton Beach!? And what am I doing here with you?

I couldn't make any sense of it. These were all regular bars. I went and had some dinner, changed at the hotel and came back. Still didn't make any more sense. I thought, I'd post here and ask. Am I stupid? I only see regular bars and I'm not looking for the tourist bar experience.

Eventually, a girl at one of the side bars beckons me. I figure I should park myself somewhere. She introduced herself as Pa. Pa wasn't slim but I liked Pa. I'm already not liking this bar pickup scene; I need the clarity of Tijuana and German FKKs. As I am thinking, some old guy comes in and in a jiffy, he's bought her a drink. And her friend. And then more. I wait around a bit to see if the situation changes. It doesn't. I take it the thing with Pa won't work. I move on.

I step into another side street (not deep in) just off Tiger bar I think and an ugly old hag tries to pull me in. I say no. Then a younger girl does so. So, I figure okay. Soon, I find myself ordering another drink and then a lady drink for this girl, who I then discover is very friendly but is rubbing me the wrong way. I don't like her. Talking of rubbing the wrong way, the ugly old hag comes back and starts seductively massaging my shoulders. Fuck. An ugly old hag is massaging me. How can this get any worse? After sitting over there for a while uneasily, I make an exit.

I'm hating this bar scene already. I can't keep on drinking at every place. I don't want to drink something. It's not even about money. I begin making plans of getting the hell out of Phuket / Patong. (I also forget that I chose Phuket BECAUSE it is a tourist destination. But, right now I'm not looking for beaches and scenery).

I saw these nice girls dancing at what I think was Oscar bar and I eventually decide to sit at the bar there. I sit at the bar and one girl appears next to my out of nowhere. I buy her a LD. I shouldn't be buying drinks but I seem to be horrible at this scene. This girl drinks a shot and sits quietly next to me. I don't think she knows English. Another drink down the drain.

I eye this cute dancer who eyes me back. She eventually comes and sits next to me. I'm not sure at what point I bought her a drink. But, I hit it off with her. Now, I am having fun. She is getting all the right buttons for me. It's late at night and I'm sitting right in front of walking street. She's fondling me and kissing me. Another girl joined and we were playing games. I bought them drinks and this time I didn't mind because now I was having fun but lesson for tonight has really to be how to get out of this ladydrink situation.

So I ask her how much the BF is and she says 1500. Ouch. And 3 k for her. I say that's expensive and she says 2. 5 k. Okay, I'm gueesing that's still high when combined with everythign but I really like this girl and she's done everything right, there's chemistry, and otherwise I was having a miserable time. It's almost 1:30-2:00 and I think it's time to get the hell out of there. But the girl says she can't leave till 3 AM. I go WTF. What does that even mean? I pay BF. Doesn't that mean she can leave? Do I not understand something here? She grew concerned when I tried to pay the drinks bill and said, I go with you! I said, okay. But she says 3 AM: meet me here at 3 AM.

I don't really get it. She's not off at 3? I still have to barfine her? So why can't go now? I say, what the heck, I can try doing this once and see how this turns out. I am almost resigned for tonight to be a costly newbie beginner lesson. So, I go away and get a kebab. A FL bumps into me and I move away and she says in my face: "we're just talking. Not FUCKING. " Haha, that was a good one. She whispers into my ear: "I'm prostitute" and I say, yeah, I figured, ha. She tells me she's working from 3 PM onwards and gives me her number. I take her number.

FLs are out in full force on walking street between 2 and 3. I see a shitfaced drunk young guy "negotiating" with (I think) a Russian girl, which consists of Russian girl going through his pockets and finding his cash. I think she took part of his cash and then set off with him. Dude is totally wasted. I later see both of them with the girl trying to get a tuk tuk to Karon Beach with the guy. He had no idea what was going on. I'd love to see his reaction next day.

I go back to that (Oscar?) bar at 3 PM and girl is not there and nowhere to be found. Then I see she's working another customer. WTF. I thought she was going to change or something or otherwise want to go. One of the staff says talk to her. So I get more obvious in front of her and she eventually comes to me. Now, she seems totally drunk and seems to have forgotten our deal. Back to I can go, what you pay, etc. Eventually we have the staff /(do I call them mamasan here?) say 1500 BF and girl wants 3000. And she seems totally drunk, not the active, lovely person I was interacting with for hours, just an hour ago. And price is back up to 3 k. I'm thinking I don't want to pay all this money to have this girl come and collapse into sleep on my bed; I'm actually a bit upset at how quickly this promising situation seemed to have derailed.

And I just choose to walk away. Not paying 4. 5 k in addition to all the drinks for a shitfaced drunk girl. Told myself "Sunk cost! Forget about it. You actually had a lot of fun. ".

In the end it was disappointing. I had fun with the entertainment factor but it's so hit or miss and didn't end up with a girl for the night. I still don't think I like this bar pick up scene. It's not like we're picking up regular girls who we need to wine and dine. These are pros.

Those are thoughts for Day 1. Katherine Massage was suggested to me earlier on the forum. Maybe I should hit that today during afternoon.

Can anybody advise if payment to bar girls is before or after? If before, is payment directly to the bar, or to the girl?

I read in the forum earlier that for Rock Hard prices may be 2 k-3 k. Is that the case for other bars too? Since I got quoted 3 k last night, I wanted to be sure I knew the average range I ought to be looking at.

Thanks![/QUOTE]In Thailand, be it Phuket or Pattaya or Bangkok, the practice is ALWAYS to pay AFTER the deed is done DIRECTLY to the girl. I reiterate. ONLY AFTER. If a girl demands money upfront that is a red flag. Walk away while you still have your cash.

That said, the bar fine is paid at the bar where you pick the girl from. I think 3 k is reasonable, given the time of the year, but that is purely a matter of your judgement. I personally have no complaints against people who splurge or squeeze. Whatever gets you a good time is perfectly valid.
