East China - Shanghai

Only two tries, but seems like Shanghai is not the same. Enjoyed Shanghai Hotel and also this other place (can't remember the name. On Zhaojiabang Road) much more than Heting and 999. With Expo over. Maybe the operating environment will loosen up and new shops will open up, creating more competition.

Also, wondering if the reason all the smoking hot chicks have mostly deserted the sauna scene is that the higher end of the market (ie KTV, escort sort of stuff) has moved upwards and become bigger, drawing away supply from the saunas? I typically go there around 2PM, personally I think that is the best time to go. Usually at the time all girls should be present in the bowl, and there are not many customers. I would expect a lineup of 20+ at that time.

When you finish the "massage", it is almost guaranteed you can get a private resting room.

Maybe you could get a super hot ear lady to give you another hand as well.

I haven't been there for three months, so I am speaking from experience here. Not sure if there is new rules/new management or whatever going on now.

The 9s and 10s sauna girls either always get picked by punters or got "bought up" by the high rollers. I've been to 999 but you might want to try it again earlier.

The best places to go in Shanghai for "freelancers" are the 3 bars near Tongren Lu. They are Manhattan, Malones and Judy's, in that order. In Manhattan you will see a lot of Viets and Phillys. In Malones, mainly Chinese and some older Chinese. Judy's is a mix. You can also stop in at Big Bamboo which is almost right next door to Manhattan and see who is there. All 3 bars are within short walking distance of each other (< 5 minutes).

Another spot is Xintandi. I have no personal experience there but if you read the forum, you will find out from others how to find a freelancer there.

I have not had good luck with the outcall services. Most post phony pictures and you never know what you are getting. If you go the bar route, you will at least meet and chat with the lady for awhile before bringing her back to your hotel.

Another time met a Chinese girl outside one of the bars. She was typical of the Chinese girls I have experience with. Hate going for massage on a full stomach). I think I went for the shoulder massage around 4pm or so and then the HJ at around 5pm. Guess I should've just skipped the shoulder massage.

The ear job lady was definitely pretty smoking though. Too bad I don't like ear jobs.

All of these are easy to find. That said, IMO, Shanghai is not a place to come just for sex. If that's all you want then go to BKK or Pattaya or Angeles City or Batam or Jakarta.

As far as the sauna goes, the facilities are pretty modern, clean. And actually pretty nice. Standard stuff. Large hot soaking pool, a sauna with a cold pool inside, a lounge area with Lazy-Boy type chairs. Nice shower area.

As far as the massage services go, they are priced at two levels. One around 750 or so RMB. And another at 950 or so RMB. Yes. It's on the pricier side and if you want cheaper. Sacrosa is a 10 minute walk away. As I was staying at the hotel anyways, I decided to give the spa a try. Incidentally, the spa is on the 5th floor and there's a fairly large KTV on the 4th floor just below. In any case, the 950 RMB charge gets you 90 minutes and in my case was a 1/2 hour massage followed by 1 hour of FS that began with a CBJ followed by multiple positions ending in one shot. Don't know if I could have gone multiple shots since I pretty much used the full hour. My masseuse was cute and very accomodating (#950) and overall, it was a good experience. She asked to stay in touch and gave me her phone number (which I think is pretty standard operating procedure in these places). Would I go back again? Probably not as it's a pretty pricey venue albeit clean and fairly luxurious. I think there are other options to try with service equal or better. Your mileage may vary. .

They should all arrive before 2PM. Not sure about Sacrosa.
