We think of it as Filipino time, but the more that I live and work here I understand Filipino time. Buses, Jeepney's and standing waiting for taxis is the way of life here. Last weekend I was in Cebu and for the first time it took me 20 minutes to get a taxi at the hotel.
In my work here I have a lot of big trucks and at first I was getting upset when they couldn't park them correctly, until my local supervisor told me that most of my workers have never owned a car, only motorcycle and never drove anything thing until they got hired.

Which explains why, when drivers transition from bicycles to cars or jeepneys or trucks, they drive them exactly the same way they drove the bikes.
Those high end hotels only let in the very nicest taxis -- with kickback(?).
Just walk down to the street and flag one down. I can't imagine ever waiting for 20 minutes. You must be much more patient than I am. Or maybe you were at a Mactan beach resort....
Cebu traffic is becoming more and more like Manila was 20 years ago. Not a good sign.

IMHO, impossible without a phone, unless you arenīt butterflying and will just be seeing one GF. I canīt imagine trying to keep track of meetings, etc. just using the internet.

1 I would say that it would be next to impossible to tackle the Phil Semi pro scene without a phone and really you should get Phils SIM. They just cost about 70P. Smart are the biggest operator, Globe the second and Sun the third, but quite a few girls use Sun as its cheaspest given its the newest entrant.
2 Just consulted the two babes staying with me and they say a guitar would go down well. Pinoys love music so if u spend any time here you should bring some sort of music solution.

Yes I would have to agree with you that a proper lingham massage can be a mind numbing experience! Finding a masseuse who has been trained correctly can be difficult. Got my first LM in the States by a Korean MP. Would highly recommend every guy try it. Here is a link to a follow up article:

Would not worry too much about these types of places getting closed down because they are semi-legitiment and most don't offer FS. Have never tried the places you list but I can vouch for another outfit called Chuva Chuva. One of their locations is on Ramos Street, next door to Volvo KTV. Very clean and tidy place and the girl knew what she was doing! Price was 900 php all in!
it's about time i write something back to this forum when the memory is still fresh! since i have experienced manila i thought it was time for me to check out cebu!
once arriving at the airport there were two options with taxis i could take, one being the 395 peso prepaid taxi or the metered taxi. i have used them both different occasions and both times they were to crown regency tower by mango square and the metered taxi ended up 380 pesos. next time i think i will take the prepaid one.
the crown regency hotel tower is pretty impressive, paid 3600 peso per night in jan but after i came back from boracay they were charging for the same room for 5000 peso per night! i asked why and the reply was that feb was high season! i thought it was bullshit but didn't want to make a scene!
great hotel though with great workout gym and reasonable food but be careful bringing girl sometimes! out of the 6 nights i stayed there had girls come back with 5 times but few times they were making me pay. when i had two girls with i ended up paying but one other time trying to make me pay for just one girl, i put up a fight and they gave up and let me go!
so now to ladies, checked out mango square first night just down the road, lots of locals there enjoying themselves, place seemed to get busy after 10. 30pm.
had few beers upstairs bar till 11 pm just checking the crowd then entered juliana, (must wear shoes to get in i was told) drank and danced till 2 am and ended up with a lapu lapu local, 25 years old who was little bit older than me but great bubbly girl so took her back to hotel. i don't know what it was but since she wasn't a wg it felt relaxed and really had a great time!
next night went to casino and didn't come out there till 4am so no action! i was keen to check out vikings or other wg bars but casino just had my full attention!
went to waterfront casino again but left at 1am so i could make it to wg bars. just checked out vikings and liked the place that i didn't really bother with any other place. bar fined two girls 1750 peso each, can't remember the namebut one 18 year old and 22. was thinking of wonderful threesome experience but was dissapointed as the two weren't really into each other so just after finishing with the 18 year old twice told her to leave with 500 peso tip and stayed with 22 year old. good call by me as the 22 year old was all about pleasing me and wouldn't let me sleep! tiped her 1000 for her great effort!

sorry i bored few members with my story, its not like i can tell my friends of this hobby as they won't understand!
