I wonder what caused the disappearance of the FLs. If you don't mind me asking, what are the options now (yes, I have been reading the reports here. And most seem to be going go-gos). I am not a big fan of nudie bars, even if the quality seems nice. The like illusion of sitting at Beer Garden or where ever, chat with the girls, and take one for an hour or two at leisure.

Yes, the BG is pretty dismal most nights. The gals are very old (as are most of the guys) and a majority need to hang it up. I certainly feel for old P4 P gals, but then again if they were the least bit resourceful they could have snagged a dude when they were younger and hung onto him. But too many worry more about their parasitic families as opposed to taking care of themselves. Either that or they were way too greedy in their younger days and thought they could always get better.

Average salary has risen by quite a bit over the past decade. Gals don't have to supplement any more.

People say that all the time, but there's little similarity. None of those networks are an efficient venue for picking up a working girl. They don't allow girls to explicitly identify as hookers, nor customers to search for them explicitly. It takes a fair bit of sifting through, pointless time-wasting chatting, scheduling / arranging and waiting to meet one. At that point, it's as much work / time / hassle as a proper date, so I might well get a proper decent girl for a date (which can occasionally be way more rewarding), rather than going through the same inconvenience and then paying for a half-arssed sex session. Perhaps as you approach 60 the math changes (more tolerance for the hassle since regular under-35 girls are more difficult).

General dating sites in Thailand are 2% hookers, 10% maybe but should I ask, 88% regular girls. I with Thailand had a real online hooker exchange like Hong Kong 141 where you can clearly browse hookers, see prices and locations.

[/QUOTE]There is still a fair number of freelancers on Sukhumvit, you just need to revise your expectations sharply downwards compared to 2008.

As for alternatives, I'd go to Pattaya. The scene there is also not as good as before, but at this point clearly better than Bangkok, and cheaper too.

[/QUOTE]I think it was caused by low unemployment, improved wages (minimum wage is now good enough to live on), demographics (birth rate fell sharply in the 1980's and now we're seeing it) and the proliferation of smartphones. Hardcore hookers who are too greedy, stuck in the lifestyle, or too lazy to be doing anything else are still around, but the sweet regular girls dipping in the scene to supplement their meager day job income are a thing of the past.

In the past, a good number of working girls often had in the back of their minds the option of snagging a husband / boyfriend / sponsor, or at least a multiple-day customer, so service was accordingly nicer. Now they just want to finish the job, get the money and go back to get another one.

Not just confined to Thailand. Jeez, what's the hobby going to be like in 15 years when I'm 65? FFS, one of the reasons for choosing Thailand was seeing all the older dudes with hot chicks back in '99. Now older dudes are with gals in their 40's. Urgh! " Many of the "first-tier" pharmacies require a prescription and won't budge on this. But what might be called "second-tier" pharmacies will have generic viagra (sildenafil) available without a prescription and possibly the brand-name stuff.

Others here should be able to direct you to specific pharmacies; unless things have changed recently there should be a lot of them that offer this without a prescription in the Sukhumvit area.

Price should be around 200 to 300 Baht for pack of 4 100 MG tablets.

Original Viagra can be bought too, but what is the point. Far too expensive. Cheap original genuine Viagra elsewhere are not really genuine at all, so don't kid yourself.

Lots of other stuff available too.
