I will be arriving in Cebu at about 12:30 am. Is there a money exchange open in the airport at that hour? If not can I get a prepaid taxi with USD? Or can I get peso's with a bank card from an ATM?
There is ATM to your right as you walk outside the airport from the baggage claim area. Use that.

It might be to your left if you're coming out of the domestic arrivals baggage claim. It is just outside the other exit mentioned by Mr416 so you might have a short walk to that other exit.
Postscript: when I found that ATM, there were international arrivals coming out of there. A girl, definitely a working girl, with someone that looked like an older cousin, was on the prowl, gave me the eye that you know she is working. I didn't like the look on her face so I walked away fast without talking to her and found them following me all the way up the stairs to the metered airport cabs.
it would be useful if you could be more specific. Eg what type of girl you are interested in a eg a bar girl or a semi pro what age what time when will you be in cebu. Personally i am not interested in the ba scene which i think is often overpriced in Cebu. You can gte a good semi pro for about 500P fr a few hours plus taxi fare
Thanks for the reply Mr. London. The time would be afternoon. Bar girl or semi pro? No preference. I was thinking that perhaps there were massage parlors nearby that provided "extras". Perhaps there are bars nearby that are open in the afternoon with special rooms. Can't take back to my hotel. Age-25 to 30 or so.

Westerners?
I was in Cebu a few weeks ago with my Filipino girlfriend. We stayed on Mataca Island and went diving and snorkeling. I think in three days I saw 3 or 4 other Westerners (I am American). Mostly Korean's there.
If I go back, is this a good place for mongering?
My gf said in Boracay there are mostly westerners.
Is this a better spot to dive and monger at night?

ST In Fuente
Since this site is supposed to be a sex guide, let me ask once again. Anyone on this board have any suggestions for short time in the Fuente Osmenia area of Cebu. Anyone care to suggest what the going rate is?
Didn't see your query until now but check out the improved Silver Dollar (next door to Crown Regency). Take out is 750 php to the bar + whatever you negociate with the girl. They also have a short time room available on site!

Never heard of 'Mataca Island', surely you must mean Mactan outside of Cebu city. If that is the case yes many Koreans and Japanese visit the island. But there are some western expats there too, I know a few.
Mactan is good for mongering, with more then a handful of clubs and brothels. But the real attraction at least for me is the almost unlimited supply of single and available women living in the hundreds of boarding houses!
Boracay is not the best place to monger and dive. Although I have never been there, the ISG concensus for a diving/mongering vacation would be Puerto Galera, on the island of Mindoro.

It consistently has the best rates. The best ATM is at Citi Bank uptown, a few blocks on the right going north from Fuente Osmenia on Jones. You can withdraw up to 15, 000 pesos at a minimum service charge. Very secure with a guard on duty at all times.

Silver dollar bar at 1100am is best bet for a pro and reasonable ST... Lonestar at 400pm, but their not dancing, but in attire. Shopping malls if your not the shy type.. They will actually find you if you have an upbeat attitude and not a pig!!!
They are all over, just get out and adventure..
Peace out!

Bohol
A couple of quick questions for those of you who have a lot more experience in the Philippines than I do.
My GF (from a November trip) and I are planning a 6 day rendezvous in March. I have business in both Manila and Cebu, so we will spend time in both locations. While trying to determine whether to stay in Cebu City or on the island (Mactan), she tossed out another possibility. She has a friend on Bohol...and we could spend some time there.
I need advice. I like the possibility of spending time with her friend in a nice setting, but is a ferry trip to Bohol worth our time and money? Should we just stay in Cebu City and take a taxi to the beach on Mactan during the day?
We both want to participate in the bar scene and enjoy some take out (yeah, I got it made with her!), so is that even available on Bohol?
Thanks in advance!
Was just in bohol over Valentines weekend and it was packed with foreigners.. We stayed at Alona beach on Panglao Island and was very convienent getting there. Two hour Ferry and 25 minute taxi ride..
Great scene if you want some decent food and relax at a table on the beach with a girl. We didn't adventure out on any tours as I just wanted to relax and get to know the girl I was with better. It was very relaxing..
Not sure of the scene for pick-ups, but I made an eye at a couple that looked like they would run off to the sack for some peso's.. And also the girls working in the bars were quite pretty.. My personal opinion is I will always take a girl I know and like there rather than try to pick-up in bohol, unless I have some FH or DIA contacts to meet there.
Peace out!
Once arriving at the airport there were two options with taxis I could take, one being the 395 peso prepaid taxi or the metered taxi. I have used them both different occasions and both times they were to crown regency tower by mango square and the metered taxi ended up 380 pesos. Next time I think I will take the prepaid one.
There are actually 3 options....If you want convienence and don't care about an extra 4 USD than negotiate as soon as you come out the door. If you want cheap, walk past the door hounds, walk up the stairs beating them off to carry your bags, walk past the airport metered taxi's(higher startout fee) and head 100 feet or so to the departures area and flag a taxi dropping off someone. Jump in and say meter, never an issue for me...
Peace out!

I had an early flight once and noticed hordes of young women on their way to work -- there are many foreign owned factories on Mactan. But how do you meet them Mattrick? I imagine there is an early evening rush hour and many stop to eat somewhere. But where is ground zero? X

I was just thinking the same thing when I read Mattricks post and I was also wondering how to best gain access. I often do seaches on the dating sites for women who live in Lapu2 and that seems to work, but I have never ventured too far off the beaten path in Mactan so a little info from someone who might have figured out a new approach would be useful.

Congratulations
Aloha all,
I stopped looking at this thread many, many months ago because I could easily go through 2-3 pages of posts without finding a single post that was about finding girls in Cebu. The posts were so far off topic and mostly arguing back and forth between 3-4 "senior regulars" in this and the Davao forums. I just stopped wasting my time. But today I was bored and looked at this Cebu thread and every single post was on useful information or reports about girls. I don't know who fixed it or how it happened, but I'm amazed and pleased. I've been to Cebu more than 20 times and will read this thread again and can offer advice when I can. Dare I now check the Davao thread? Aloha.

Export zone girls

a losing situation, in my opinion. they don't have much time off from work. only the gals working in the bakeries have less free time.
you meet them by riding the jeepneys. be advised that non-upper-class/non-tourist-industry-employed, while typically fairly proficient in english as a written language, will often not do very well at comprehending your foreigner-idiomatic speech. and have a lot of trouble expressing themselves in english beyond the bare basics.
tagalog is not a difficult language to learn. the grammer is 40% straight spanish. don't worry about doing the grammer correctly.
excellent bisaya learning materials can be had from univ of hawaii press. waste of time. just learn tagalog.
