I decided at least for one night to change my MO and go to a different fishing hole. The venue selected was Mixx located in the basement of the Intercontinental Hotel on Suk near the Chitlom stop. Since I had been in Siam earlier for dinner I managed my time so I could still use the sky train and get over there before midnight as I had read there is no point in arriving earlier than midnight. This proved to be true as it really does not start to fill up before 1 am. It's 350 baht entry fee, which get you one drink.

First, there were many, many, girls here of all different types, sizes, and nationalities. There are actually two separate rooms as part of this disco club. One allows smoking and plays more traditional disco music and the other is non-smoking and has more contemporary dance music. The girls stroll freely between the two rooms, as did I observing the various talent on offer. Wednesday has the first 3 drinks free for the girls so it's aptly named Ladies Night, which I am sure contributed to the numerous talent on offer. I also saw several girls from obvious Bangkok service industry type jobs with no hope of being picked up as they were not dressed very well until it occurred to me that these girls came for the free drinks. I actually thought one was not too bad and may have been a good non pro choice because after a while the rest of the club appeared redolent of pro's.

Unlike Bangkok Beat, there were some really attractive girls in here. Top shelf! And also unlike Bangkok Beat, the girls were not as aggressive earlier in the evening. I would get some smiles and suggestive glances but no advances that I had to akwardly shun off. I figured (correctly, as it turned out) that inhibitions would lessen as more alcohol was consumed and by 2 am the girls were being much more forward. I had to dump one girl not to my liking at one time and then moved to the other room. Here, I spoke for the second time that evening to a very attractive girl of Taiwanese and Thailand descent. We had spoken earlier and I thought this girl for all her beauty, and she was gorgeous, is a total pro and I would be wise not to pursue anything further. Since she reengaged me in conversation, I decided to appear more interested than I really was to see what the top shelf talent was asking for in here. All in the line of duty, of course. I never did determine whether her opening price was for short or long term but she quoted me $200 USD and did not mention baht in our discussion but that's 7000 baht for those readers without a calculator. I immediately said that's too much and she immediately asked me for a counter offer. I gave her my traditional opening price from Bangkok Beat of 2000 baht, which she soundly turned down saying that she can't go for that with a turned up nose also stating she was leaving for home. I guess she can make more money at home?

A few minutes later, I saw her again idling nearby and wondered if she was coming over again but my area was crowded with other people so never got to find out. Included within a crowd of several girls was a girl I had spotted earlier with a short sleeve tight sweater and skirt of some sort reminescent of one of the cartoon characters from the Archie comic strip -- Veronica, I think. She did not have the typical flat chested Thai look but instead had great looking breasts and ample body with wider hips accompanied by a firm bottom that I immediately started fantasizing about seeing her naked. She had a gorgeous face and lighter hair though I am sure her hair was highlighted. She also had a naughty mouth on her too, always a good sign, I have discovered. Her friend was not nearly so interesting looking but was chattier and used more prosaic and fractured English. One thing led to the next and I found myself strolling out of there an hour later with the both of them trailing behind. I decided that if I was going to take two, as they proposed, it was going to be at a bargain basement price so I offered 2000 Baht each for two hours, two pops. The attractive large breasted girl told me later she agreed to this price to help out her friend who was clearly not in the competitive range of many other girls in there. In a way, I was in no mood to negotiate any further as the deal could have blown up as the one girl asked for a drink for the both of them. They had been drinking Heinekens so I agreed but ended up getting stuck with a tab for two glasses of wine instead. That was not a good sign of future behavior, which proved out in the end.

A couple of random notes:

*The week before I paid 2500 each for two girls at Bangkok Beat for what turned to be an awesome threesome. Funny that I was paying less here in a place that has reputed high priced girls. Though I had more fun with these girls than tonight.

*I saw and nodded at the only girl I picked up this winter at Bangkok Beat who was a bad provider. Indeed, she was the only girl in two winters in BKK who asked to be paid upfront, which I declined a the time, and the predictable service when this happens proved to be lousy. She had a forlorn look on her face and suspect her bad service might be catching up with her. When she saw me, she realized I would not be a repeat customer and quickly moved on. Touché!

Fellow mongers take note: Never, and I mean NEVER, pay upfront.

*I could not help but notice a lot of girls hanging nearby, vulture like, as I negotiated the price with these girls all giving me stealthy and plaintive glances in case the deal blew up.

*Before I met these girls, I had a conversation in Spanish with a girl from Medellin. She had several companions with her and most were not, to put it kindly, the creme de la Creme of the Medellin scene. My policy is only go with Colombians when in Columbia. As out of country Colombianas take the word mercenary to a new level. Never bothered to inquire as to price.

*There were also a lot of Russian and / or CIS girls here. Most were quite large and quite unattractive.

*When the deal was finally struck (4:30am), the girls asked me to leave beforehand and they would meet me outside the entryway of the club. I guess management does not want this club to appear as a place guys pick up girls? Kind of weird.

*Avoid the standing taxis outside the club and walk to the Main Street to flag down a moving taxi.

So back to the game:

Onward to my apartment was, as usual in these cases, where I have to herd all these pussycats into the same room, as in my bedroom. After the less attractive girl took her clothes off and I showered with her, I decided that I was not that interested and would use her as a body prop when I fucked the girl with the great breasts. Ok, so we all wrap things up and I pay the girls the agreed price and the chatty one starts on about tipping and taxi fare. I had no interest in tipping. For one thing, I never fucked the one girl and as good a time as I had with the main girl, I want to decide to tip, not be pressured into it. Plus the recently enacted no kissing policy in my apartment irritated me. Also, no Bangkok Beat girl, for what it is worth, has ever brought up tipping so I am not used to tipping. But the other thing was the main girl did not want to share her Line number with me so perhaps the chemistry was not as good as I thought or she was just being a Biatch. However, I finally determined my main girl appeared upset that she went with me for only 2000 baht and was trying to up her fee to even things out (for her). The other girl also kept saying that actually my main girl needed more money for her English lessons, like that's my problem. I gave them a 100 baht for taxi fare in the end. All in all, this threesome could have been a lot worse as I had a feeling that the less attractive girl job was to make me come faster, which I avoided and resisted, pulling her hands away from critical sensitive areas at times when necessary. As time went on, my main girl got into the sex quite a bit, but staying power* is important in these circumstances when this occurs. First off, I've only been there once. So I am no expert.

1. I don't think mgmt has any problems with girls heading out with guys. Together. When they exit the main area. I saw several cut their deals and leave with either American or European guys. And one very hot slinky super pro (who does the cross leg runway catwalk walk) returned after 1. 5 hours. So I think she prefers to take more than 1 sucker each night! LOL.

2. The smoking section / side is somewhat larger, has more TV's has a more stylistic contemporary decor and plays mostly EDM not disco music. I believe the smoking part and the EDM part attract the most of the Russians and the CIS girls to that other separate area of the Mixx club, and thankfully the smokers (eg Korean and Japanese) too. I went over there to the smoking EDM side 3-4 times during the 5 plus hours I spent at MIXX a few nights ago.

3. Yeah, I agree the really hot girls were a bit older, dressed super great, probably former models and are what I would call super pros. I don't believe any of them would be very interested in LT.

4. I think you did not do too bad at all. But for the other girl ( ugly ? ) tagging along. Perhaps the cuter girl prefers to stay under the radar for reasons of her own. Eg local BF. Anyways, you did better than I did. So kudos!

You are right that girls are a bit more pro there. But I have found good GFE types there too. You just need to dig diligently. Ladies night sounds like a good time for that as there may be more regular girls there. And you need to bargain hard as the girls there quote very high prices (but most will come down).

Yes, I think there may be a few savvy non pros in Mixx just for some free drinks and maybe meet a guy but it takes a discerning and quick eye to find that special non pro. 3 free drinks is a great deal for the gals. I think the non pro girl I noticed who was simply dressed would have been shocked if I approached her and prob could have gotten her home for much less than the standard price there.

By the way, tonight is free flow champagne night at Kuteda for the ladies, said to be the supreme night club at the moment in BKK. It's near the W Hotel so a bit far for me but may go since I am leaving BKK soon. I am sure that I will see many of the same gals on the free drink circuit as I saw at Mixx.

TomasB and Uncle V, please chime in! Kumbu, I am neither white nor black. And, I'm not Thai. I am a mix. Haha. So, I would say no need to worry. You will feel A-OK at Mixx. I'd say about 50 PC Thai. Many of the girls are actually a mix of Thai and something else. But, I believe prices are high, if you end up dealing with those I call super pros. Don't go for the Russians or the CIS girls, I'd say, Stick to the Thai and Thai mix looking girls and strike a deal before 3 am (vs me who's waited until 430 am, and MIXX closes at 5 am ). I made that mistake because I just love to be in my own zone, roam around, observe watch, and and dance alone or with the crowd, rather be bothered with 'a' girl, until the club's closing time...yeah silly me. I do it every frickin time....lol. But then, I'm not always wanting to hook up with a different girl every single night, particularly for 3-4 weeks in a row.

Waiting has worked for me in Brazil, Peru, DR, and in Pattaya but not in BKK. Demand is greater than supply (of young semi pro, occasional pro girls and they get taken ) in BKK. I will correct this error in early Feb on the tail end of my next trip.

However, I have decided that Pattaya works better for me due to more semi and non pros, and so I will be back to Patts right after the new year (because, unfortunately, my travel plans are planned out and committed through summer, fall, with Thanksgiving, Chtistmas and New Year family commitments ) .

I certainly won't be dancing until dawn, that's for sure. I'd prefer to bed a lady and be nicely tucked away by 2 am if possible, in time to get 5 hours shut eye before I have to wake up for work. But given your positive appraisal of Mixx, I have been convinced to pay it a visit.

I would not describe Mixx as overly swanky and, in fact, you can gain entry by walking in from Suk and avoiding the IC lobby all together, which you enter from the side of the building. For the initial Mixx entry point, you then proceed down a hallway and take the escalator down another level. The club itself is a bit dated and could use some renovation. It even has a disco ball. How dated is that? The security guys in and out appear very professional and polite. Yes, and the numbers start dwindling by 4am. I would have it in your mind how much you are prepared to pay and the duration because my limited experience suggests they are asking for a lot more than other BKK venues. But remember it's basically the same girls who last year might have been in Hilary's or some other down market club.

As far as the makeup of the girls, I would say at least 50%, if not more last night, are Thai. There are not many blonds, just the skanky CIS girls and very few farang women tourists that I could see.

A lot of punters form the Subcontinent like this place, including the legendary Alex of this board and it has a reputation of being a more welcoming to darker complexioned folks. So I think you are OK.

Mixx is also much more pro oriented and I can't remember seeing regular farangs there partying. The Caucasian girls you will see there are all CIS or Latin America FLs. In that respect I'd say its more like Spasso (I have never been but I have heard a lot about that scene) than Levels.

Haven is right about there being a lot of mixed Thai / other nationality girls there. I think this is the most interesting thing about Mixx (no pun intended).

As for being home in bed with your girl by 2 AM, I am not so sure. Its definitely possible but you will have to act quick. And you may nto get the pick of the litter that way. Like all discos this place only really gets started by 1 AM. Thermae may be a better bet if you want an early night. I hear that the scene there has improved a bit, though still nothing like it was a few years ago.
