Moalboal, Maybe The Quo Vadis ?
Guys
I am returning to Cebu for two or three weeks this coming May and I am in eager anticipation.
Just wondered if any of you can recommend any decent accomodation in and around Moalboal. I don't want to travel too far from Cebu City but would really like a few days on a nice beach and I am sick to death of the ugly mud flats on Mactan. How they can call these things a beach is beyond me. I am not a diver (in the true sense of the word) so those kind of facilities are not important.
I will be bringing my own girl so I will not have need of any action locally and would like to find somewhere close to a nice beach, safe, reasonable amenities such as air con, a swimming pool, TV in the room and not high end prices like the Waterfront. Don't mind paying around 3000 per night max.
If you have any suggestions please let me know, feel free to PM me if you don't want to clutter up the board.
Thanks
Mortman
QUO VADIS RESORT is a possibility, Mortman.
Very comfortable units with ac. For around 1700/day. Pleasant grounds,
Nice views, swimming pool, girl friendly. Located near the southern end of the area. Beach is not a strand, but some rock outcroppings and sandy areas. Quiet around this location. Good restaurant next door. Most clients are German speaking divers, and okay to chat with. I plan to return.
Perfect, if you want to relax and put in a lot of sack time.
Why spend 4+ hours getting to Moalboal when you can hit Panglao in 2.5
In all honesty, I would not hassle my way over the mountain and traffic to get to Moalboal when you can simply take one of the fast ferries (Supercat is my fav) and for about 500p and 2 hours later you will be in Tagbilaran only 25min from Alona and Panglao which has the nicest beach this side of Boracay. Plenty of great places to stay in Alona. There is also the BBC (Bohol Beach Club) just down the road.
