Garotas de Ipanema (non pros)
It was so beautiful and sunny this week in Rio ... I was admiring the garota on the left and dreaming about her sucking my cock and then me pounding her little ass ... but my girlfriend was waiting for me on the beach ...
B.B.
Glad you are still alive after challenging police mafia on their own turf
I was in brazil for 1 month back in July to August. I went to the vila many times and got too comfortable. It was on Saturday night August 8th. There was a young woman in the bar area spreading eagle showing her stuff. Me and 2 other brazilian men where taking pictures of her. (I will show fotos later). About 1 hour later I went back out into the street to go buy a beer. My money was in the same pocket as my Canon camera. I pulled my camera out along with my money to buy the beer. About 5 minutes later a man come up to me speaking portuguese. After he realized I didn't understand very well, he asked if I spoke ingles? He said to me " I'm a police officer. You do not take pictures in the vila mimosa". I replied where is your identification? He then said "give me your camera! " After not complying he got a quick sucker punch in on me. He had 2 friends along with him yelling something at me in portuguese. Quickly, I walked back into the hall way of the bar/brothel area. He first hesitated on following me back in, then he came at me once again trying to reach into my pocket with the camera. I pushed him and ran into the 1st bar area, climbed threw the open window leading to the opposite hallway. Then I ran into the street towards the railroad tracks and found a taxi and got the hell out of there. No way was I going to let him take my camera. What fooled me was the man was clean cut and looked like he could be a cop. He was about 6'2"- 6'3", 190 to 210lbs, black hair. I wanted to hit him back, mace him or cut him with my tactical pocket knife. Howvere, my first instinct was flight not fight because of the location. I will post all my fotos tomorrow.

you are very lucky. Most likely the guy gave you credit for being a clueless gringo that did not know what he was doing.
People regularly get killed in VM by security. Usually after doing stupid things and breaking the rules. He probably figured that killing a gringo would give them bad press and thus some unwanted attention.
If you deal with organized crime on their own turf, you don't play cocky. You comply. Or you call in the marines. Anything less then that will not do.
If you had fought, you would not be here to report. Their patience has limits. This guy can get 3 backup goons in 20 seconds, and a dozen in 5 minutes.
See the movie about the Rio elite police squad (tropa de elite), if you need any clarification. The good guy movie hero there tortures criminals. You are dealing with the bad police guys here. War hardened from shootouts with criminal gangs on a regular basis when invading favelas.
I had a similar situation with a photo-mad gringo in a similar location. I advised him to show the camera and to delete whatever he was ordered to delete. He was treated politely.
And yes, you are not supposed to take photos in these places. Who knows what you will use them for? investigative report on candid TV? Take them at your own risk!
Next time try go to a favela, to the drug sale place. Or to the Funk Party. Take photos there and then disobey the orders you get. That is an even more sure way to get killed.
Favela justice makes Saudi Arabia's beheadings and hand choppings look tame.
When going in dangerous territory, get a knowledgeable local guide or study things profoundly. Vila Mimosa is pretty safe, as long as you know how to behave.
Brazilian photo publishing paranoia& karlamodel recommendations
2 questions. 1. what legal actions? 2. aren't they *****s? why do you treat them like normal women. if you really live in brasil you should know better.
yes, i know better. i personally witnessed several lawsuits by girls against brazilian newspapers. the newspapers only saved their ass because they had written model releases.
a famous model women sued the times of london for publishing a photo of her dancing almost naked on the public carnival show. she lost as she had to sue in london. in brazil she probably would have won.
a lawyer got r$ 50 000 out of a website that published party and discotheque photos. one of the photos showed the panties of a girl twirling so her dress flew high. she was a judges daughter.
ms. ciciarelly, one of ronaldinhos girlfriends once got a court order to block youtube in brazil, as they had videos of her fucking on a public beach in europe. the order was rescinded after an outcry in the entire world press.
add to that less legal possibility like get your ass beat up by a friend or get you arrested under false [CodeWord123] charges.
so yes, i know better. i want to live in peace. i don't publish photos without explicit permissions. or photos that are already published, as below.
