Your flight times should give you plenty of time to get a taxi from the airport to downtown (around 45 mins to 1 hour at this time in the morning.)
Then get a decent lunch and a beer or 2 (You even have time for some shopping or a look round) and make an early afternoon visit to one of the many massage places (1. 5 to 2 hours.) Fridays can be tough getting to the airport - Monday morning tough getting into the city.
Any other time traffic is not that bad - I am immune to it.
Check your bags all the way through - that way you do not worry about storage - and you have your boarding pass ready to go.
You should be out and getting a taxi by 8:30am - and here is your first problem - its too early.
I would suggest booking into somewhere like the Cozy At Ten hotel - its on Sukhumvit Soi 10 (Web Site : [url]http://www.cozyatten.com/[/url] )
They take over the phone bookings with no deposit- it will give you somewhere to be based from - and you do not care you are going to not even stay the night, its cheap enough to be ideal for short stays, 1200 Baht - no problems with joiners. 90 minutes in there will sort you out - its long enough.

Lunch takes you to 1:30.

The earliest opening MP that I know of is Annies at 10 AM, but there may be others. Many open at 1 or 2 PM. You have time for and early shot there, and another one after lunch, a few beers, and then back to the airport.
