I am not being critical. I think we all struggle at times. Perfection is not necessary.

In fact Nic really was criticising the interpretation of the meaning. Just like I wrote that one single Thai girl claimed she didn't like Thai men (presumably as sex partners) , and some silly Hoeprano seems to think its claiming Thai girls, in general, like Farangs better. Rather than poor English, sometimes guys make extrapolations that are totally illogical.

I also agree with you, that Nic was over reacting, and yes indeed,"splitting hairs".

Looking for reviews of Hotel Solo & Aspen Suites or other suggestions in the $1, 800-2, 200 TB range.

Not picky about location, either lower or upper Sukhumvit. Looking for clean, comfortable, & decent breakfast would be a plus. Thanks bros.

Thanks bros.[/QUOTE]For a really good breakfast, Majestic Grande may be just slightly above your price range, unless can get a special. Solo breakfast is really quite adequate.

Thai money should be done like this: THB 1800 to 2200. Or 1800 ฿ to 2200 ฿ . The currency is called Baht (and not Bath as so many write).

Syzygies, Majestic Grande can be had within my price range but I am concerned over reports that it's getting "worn." I used to stay at the Majestic Suites but over the years it has gotten so worn and damp due to poor air circulation, I've decided to move on.

The On8 & Phachara Suites are also in my price range.

I usually stay at Cutadines 23 / Admiral / Citrus but they all seem to be hitting $75+ now a days. Is there any other good hotel in Sukhumvit 23 area which is as good as these and may be around $50 range?

Cheers[/QUOTE]Majestic Grande rooms are just fine for me, without being brand-spanking new. The staffing on the desk is a little light on, but this is really a minor issue. I stayed there recently. Be careful when you book as they may have a non-breakfast price and a different price including Breakfast. Majestic is very handy to Annies and Nana Plaza.

If having a pool and a magnificent breakfast wins you, then this Hotel is recommended. Its more conveniently closer to Sukhumvit than Solo. Also I had an issue at Solo with a 19 year old girl (very close to 20) who they would not allow as a temporary guest but allowed her to "check-in".

I believe I recall some damaged furniture (badly scratched) at Solo being used. So if anything Majestic furniture was better.

Any Hotels that want to hang on to girls Ids are creating hassles these days. I am not so clear on Majestic's rules. I used to like Admiral Premier and would waltz in with 2 or even 3 girls and no Id checks. Recently they have been very full and hard to get a good priced room.

Cannot comment on Aspen at all.

Livingstone's Lodge in Soi 33 is also in your price bracket and they have breakfast available all day and a pool. Its a small boutique Hotel like an Island Oasis strangely in the middle of Bangkok when you expect it to be on some tropical Island.

Grande Millenium is great when they have a super special price on with great rooms and great breakfasts.

JW Marriott may be a magnificent Hotel, but I wait for a special price. Mostly its very clostly. I would much rather stay at Majestic Grande and take a great Annies girl out for the whole night, for the same total price. You have to get your priorities right. I believe in a moderately priced Hotel and use my savings for great girls. Makes little sense to me to be in a posh Hotel and then do el-cheapo girls.

If a girls comes to visit you soon after lunch nobody will check where she goes (as long as she doesn't walk in the lobby like alosts soul)

If she walks in, even with you in the late hurs after 10pm, she'll be asked to leave her I'd at security. A phone call before she leaves (and you stay in the room) from the lobby will check everything is fine with you. I rate this good guest security and GF hotel.
needless to underline Livingstone Lodge in Soi 33 is totally GF and more... just pop in the Sports Baar at the pool and you will see a good selection of girls so that you do not even have to hit the streets to find a night companion. Their bar fines are a bit steep, thouhg before midnight. This is quite a habit of Soi 33, ahve to say.

I think I'll give it a whirl. I can get a room for $69 USD and the same room plus breakfast / internet for $25 more. I think I can find a bite to eat and wifi for less than $25!

The hotel has a 7/11 next door, is close to BTS and MRT, a Robinsons opposite and next to T21.

If booking a hotel in BKK, simply ignore the ones that do not offer in-room Free WIFI.

And beware of the hotels that only offer WIFI in public areas.

At some Hotels it may not be reliable though.
