I've read alot of posting here, but wanted to know what I'm going to expect with ST and LT experiences out in Bangkok.
I'm new to all of this, but what should I expect when I do ST. Is it like in the US where ST is just one pop and they are out? Also for LT, I know the gal is going to be with me all night, but is there a minimum of pops you get?
I know, it's silly question, but I'm just trying to figure out what to expect so I don't get singled out as a newbie out there.
So I will have to buy a cheap phone in the US before I go if I do buy one.
Generally cheap GSM phones in the US do not work outside the US. It's a frequency problem. Cheap US phones usually only work on the GSM-850 and GSM-1900 bands. Most of the rest of the world uses GSM-900 and GSM-1800 bands.
Yes, it's stupid.
Better phones are "quad band" and can work anywhere.
You might get a good deal on an older model unlocked quad band phone on Ebay -- figure around $40 US plus shipping. And then you can pick up a local SIM card and get service pretty much anywhere other than Japan and Korea.
Has anyone heard of any Air Asia promotional fair between BKK and JKT of $41 usd one way ? Their website isn't making it obvious if it indeed exists.
Air Asia has great fares but you have to go to their website and go through most of the booking process before you get the actual price. They tack on surcharges for fuel (which you might think of as a basic requirement!!) and they can sting you on luggage charges.
Don't worry, go ahead and use their website. You don't have to give a credit card until you are confirming the purchase.
Pack light and carry on.
I was curious when many of you wrote that you are getting this gel in BKK. I just came back from India and did a thorough search. There is no such thing there. No pharmacist has heard of it.
I have seen it in a Pharmacy in India, however I see more of Caverta TABS being sold.

Connection with a girl and the time of day can play a part.
Generally, short time with a bar/go-go means one pop and out the door...more money to be made.
Long time generally means action before sleep and action in the morning. However if you pick up and spend some time with a girl, something to eat, dancing or the like, you may be able to go throughout the night with you, and a good portion of the following day lol.
They tack on surcharges for fuel
Not any more. In fact they're now one of the better budget airlines in terms of advertised price vs. actual price. Nok Air, which used to be pretty good about this, has gotten so bad with surcharges that I've quit using them.
I've read alot of posting here, but wanted to know what I'm going to expect with ST and LT experiences out in Bangkok.
Time of day and business "prospects" also a factor. On a busy weekend night, more likely she'll want to return as soon as possible for another customer.
Best bet is not be shy and specify EXACTLY what you are expecting (menu, number of shots, time of departure, price). Not exactly "romantic", and eliminates the seduction "fantasy", but it does tend to minimize potential misunderstandings back in the room. No guarantee she'll deliver, but most often she will, and, like I say, at least you'll have minimized any misunderstandings.
Thanks for all the advise so far that I've received. This is the best board for me so far in gathering information and advice.
I'm sure I'll have to negotiate everything before I BF a girl out for LT. (See I'm learning)
I'm going to be so paranoid about leaving my stuff out like my ipod, digital camera, laptop before they show up. Overall I'm really excited about the trip and I hope to report back here.

The girls will not steal anything that will not fit in their purse/bag. I would lock up wallet, camera etc.
What's better a lax-BKK biz class flight on Thair air or a sfo-BKK biz class flight on United. Thai air will get me there in 3 1/2 hrs less time but I'm curious about the service, food, booze, seat, stews, differences between the 2 biz classes.
Brother, always take an Asian Airline over United or any other US Airline.
It's no contest. Better food, service, and no senior flight attendent attitudes.
Plus, no security paranoia.

Thai is fine, seats are fine although not fully flat when in lie down mode. Service is fine, good and drink are fine.
United, never tried it.

I hate flying but you have to do it if you want to get to LOS. So the only thing that really matters is price and flight duration.
If the prices of these two flights are within $100 or so, I would take the Thai Air flight and not think twice. I have flown United. They are one of the worst. I have flown Thai Air from BKK to CNX, Phnom Penh, Yangon and Bali. I have no complaints.
Anybody else flies non stop into BKK from USA?
