Sounds like a bunch of covid-starved two-week billionaires ruining things there.

Plenty of safe, stable countries in Europe and Central Asia that offer better deals than that.

Subic is a ghost town, EDSA complex is gone, Burgos is a shadow of its former self. Angeles is picking up apparently, but some issues with attitude on some of the girls. And to be frank, out of all of Asia they are not the best looking either if you like slim young hard bodies. I'm in Pattaya right now, and I have the same sense you do. The quality of the girls is actually down and this place has not recovered since Covid. Barfines at the gogos are insane and the women are below average for the rates they want to charge, its hard to justify to be quite honest. The bar scene is what it always is, lots of single moms and middle aged women with the occasional looker surrounded by alcoholics. The talent at the gentlemen clubs leaves a lot to be desired too. Some of the soapies have closed too. Tinder and ThaiFriendly are yielding some good results, but I prefer to select from lineups.

I'm of the view that BKK is the best option right now, but beyond that Pattaya is getting hard to find a silver lining for right now. It just seems really, really tired?

I'm thinking of making a move over to Jakarta perhaps, although complaints about that too. I guess Covid lockdowns are lingering everywhere, and a lot of girls have become very used to going online these days.

They contribute to the economy throughout the Thai hospitality industry. Without those men, the Pattaya economy would be a notch lower than it currently is. If you disagree and think there are too few billionaires to nudge up the economy, then you must also believe there are too few to affect the bar girl prices.

When a tourist sees a girl he wants, a price difference of 1500 baht isn't going to stop the transaction.

If these girls don't earn a certain amount of money, they are going back to the farm and tend the rice and mangos.

I've been coming here for 15 years and lived here 8. I don't care if the prices are 1,000 baht higher as long as I get top quality. The bars are improving, the restaurants are improving, the gyms are improving. Stop moaning. If you don't like soi 6 open bars go to Soi Boomerang, Soi full love inn, or any of the gentleman's clubs that have popped up all over the city. Stop moaning and enjoy.
