I have not dated any Koreans in PI but did so in Korea many years ago. Yes, there are always some lookers in any country but Filipinas are sweeter and don't smell like kimchi.

I managed to pop 2 K-Poppers, but both were with the assistance of Pinays. The first one, early last year, (skinny, cute, but rather plain looking) was eyeballing my GF1 and GF2 at a club we were at. If you can find an intermediary, then it would be better. I have heard / read that it's easier to score a K-popper in MNL. Perhaps because it's a larger city and they feel more anonymous there.

At the-Cups: neither of the 2 I had smelled or tasted like Kimchi, more like fresh strawberries, LOL.

Cebu has never really been known as a destination for straight up P4 P; which I define as it's (overpriced) bar and SW scene. Most of the hardcore girls you find at Mango Ave clubs (and even at the malls) I would classify as being in the SW, bargirl or former bargirl category. On the other hand, Cebu has long been known for finding high-quality regular type girls who I guess you could classify as semi-pros as well as regular girls who are curious about foreigners and know they can score a little extra cash. Plus you have the girls who are hoping to find a husband / sponsor (and eventually marry him).

During the eight months I stayed in Cebu, I went to the Mango Ave area an average of three times a month. Usually it was with a few of my girls to let them have a night out dancing and drinking at some of the clubs. As the girls bounced between the clubs I would grab an outside table with another expat or two who I knew, drink a few beers and admire the scenery. I would have to agree that a large percentage of the girls there were actively seeking to hook up with a foreigner for the night; especially after the Mango Ave girly bars and the Karaoke joints closed. It was relatively easy to spot the hardcore P4 P girls (and the numerous ladyboyz too) as they were not shy about approaching guys. What I looked for were the girls who hung out in the "shadows", so to speak. They tended to be the semi-pros or even the occasional first timer who was looking to hook up. Sometimes by themselves, but often in groups of 2 or 3. They often would sit at the tables outside of J-Ave or up on the one of the balconies at one of the other clubs as well as slowly troll thru the square. If they were in groups it wasn't hard to pry one loose from their friends and arrange a meet up for that night or a subsequent one. Even though I often had the advantage of just sending one of my girls over to chat up a target, I would frequently just get the girl's number and see her another night. Though twice my girls returned to the table I was at and were met by a newbie girl. One did join for a more-some, but the other declined and I met her a few days later after convincing her that I would both be alone, and that none of the other girls would be jealous (and kill her, LOL).

I'll disagree with SA in that gorgeous girls can't be found there (either regular, semi-pros or P4 P) and that most are all being "kept" or sponsored by Koreans, Japanese and wealthy Pinoys. There's plenty of hot looking girls who are free to do as they please. But if you limit your hunting grounds to the bars and clubs around Mango Ave then I can see how one can get that impression. Mango Ave, and in particular J-Ave, are seemingly over run with K-poppers of all ages. I also noticed an influx of middle easterners (I guess due to growth of the IT Park call centers as most of the ones I talked to or overheard seemed like computer geeks, LOL), presumably from India, however many of the girls tended to shy away from them.

WR met a few of my girls (or seen pics) and he'll back me up as to their all (well most of them anyhow) being extremely attractive. 2-3 of them are / were P4 P bar (I meet them privately) or former bargirls and the others I found via online dating sites or they were referrals / friends / cousins / sisters of girls I already knew. Two of my girls who are straight up P4 P types don't care for the Koreans or Japanese, but have been with a few only because they were dumb enough or desperate enough to pay the girls a ridiculously high amount (6 K or more). They would just throw out a high number and if the dumb asses went for it then they would go with them. Both have independently told me that have gotten over 10 K on a few occasions. Outsourcing the search and negotiations at Mango Square was my strategy but the girls I took didn't do a very good job of it. PJ, your summary of Cebu (not so good for P4 P but big enough to have a decent pool of non P4 P candidates who don't fear small town transparency) is consistent with my assessment of Cebu. Your stories (which I am surely envious of) validate (1) been in the right place at the right time and (2) the power of a network built over time. Part timers like me can be easily deceived that we can repeat the success of some of the FR's we read here. However on that front, as you may have seen from FR's I wrote in the Makati section, I am very bearish economically. Given I am assuming my work opportunities will dry up in the near future I plan to use the downtime to give the Philippines a longer stint beyond the 1+ weeks every 3 months I currently do. I am currently tossing around Manila vs Cebu vs AC vs Davao. I am sure there are other threads on the merits of long stints in different towns so I will RTFF before commenting any further.
