My return is scheduled for 3/25-3/30. With the holiday coming up the first week of April, what is the likelihood of my return being a good time to cut deals with the girls on salidas? And, how do my arrival dates coincide with payday for the clientelle in the clubs.

Are a number of the girls usually hussling especially hard during the week before the holiday week, just to make up for what they might austensibly be losing in revenue as a result of the slow holiday period?

I would assume if they were good businesswomen, they would be anticipating a lull in business over the holiday period. Or, do most of them have such short attention spans and poor planning skills that they are not thinking that far in advance?

An analysis of this would be very helpful in mongering effectively.

Prok's post got me started wondering. I wonder about the contrast in possibilities. I am not really knowledgeable about the Massage scene, and I really don't know what amount of money one can typically expect to spend for a good massage session.

I have some limited experience in the massage scene, most of which is a couple of years old. I speculate that the cost maybe anywhere from about 300-500 pesos for a pretty good looker. And, I assume that would include maybe about 30 minutes to forty five minutes of service. But, I am only guessing. I humbly submit that I really know very little about the actual potential in that segment of the Monterrey scene.

But, what is interesting to contemplate, if in fact one is interested in sampling the delights of the strips clubs for a change, versus the massage parlor scene, is whether a bargain with the strip club girls might be more easily made at this particular time, when the girls are contemplating a slow down.

I would estimate that you could very possibly find a good after hours salida, at least a two hour trist, probably for about 500 pesos, maybe for even less than that, and maybe even a longer period of time. That is my own expectation on this next trip in one week, notwithstanding my seperate, hopefully lengthy, and hopefully cheap, arrangements I can make to see my "G" girl.

I don't know, I am just guestimating as to what the possibilities might be as the strip club girls contemplate their empty purses. Conversely, I suspect the massage club girls will simply be offering their same range of prices as always.

Does anybody have a take on how the Monterrey massage parlor/strip club girl after hours salida pricing will differ in comparison during this period of time, a week before the holiday.

Will the massage parlor scene pricing hold firm during this same period of time, and the strip club girl, after hours salida pricing dip substantially in comparison? I think it might.

If so, now might be an opportune time for massage parlor officionados (sp) who have contemplated a walk on the wild side to sample the strip club girls. It seems to me the pricing will be pretty attractive in comparison to the massage scene, which I believe will remain relatively stable with respect to pricing during the same period.

One correction on your post. I (we) don't frequent the high end clubs. You will only find me (us), in the low end bars, and sometimes in the medium level bars like Casino, Harem, Pasarelas, Bahamas.

We only spend our money in high end bars, Obsession and Prestige, on the 60 pesos lunch buffet, and only the lunch buffet. We will not even usually buy the girls drinks in the high end bars during the lunch buffet.

With the exception of Obsession and Prestige for the lunch buffet, we are very frugal, and avoid the high end bars like the plague. In the low end bars, you can get salidas, especially after hours when the girls get off work, for as little as 500 pesos for two hours, but it does take some negotiation, and some familiarity with the girls. But it is not uncommon, or difficult, just requires a little persistence at becoming known.

I am going to regret bringing all these guys into the mix...I just frickin' know it. Hold me back Carlos. Prok, hopefully you are old, grey, wrinkled, and smelly. That way you will not be competing with us. Frankly, I don't need the competition.

my head hurt as i watched the waiter grab the small plate of cold, half-eaten toast from the adjacent, empty table and place it down in front of me.

another late monterrey morning. another free pda breakfast . . .

i stared at the obvious bite mark on the top piece as i loaded it up with butter and jam. i couldn’t stop thinking about the night before. how i love the movies! and a double, disney feature . . . in spanish! the images of the previous night burned in my brain and i again felt that familiar, queasy, butterfly feeling in my stomach. was it love? true love? or just the crappy pda breakfast? or that milk i drank last night? it did taste funny . . .

i considered filing an isg trip report about my forbidden, but exciting mp fling of the previous night using the hi-speed internet connection in the lobby. at 5 bps it was one of the fastest in all of mexico, but the long line of patrons convinced me otherwise.

i returned to my room and switched on the bed-side lamp. it burned brightly, thanks to the us-made light bulbs i had dragged down with me on the long bus ride. “they don’t make bulbs like this in mexico”, i gloated. the strong light illuminated the numerous stains on the almost-new, 1-yr old, grey carpeting. my fingers idly played with the cigarette burn-holes of the bed spread as i was lost in deep thoughts that only i could understand. suddenly, out of the corner of my eye i noticed a subtle movement of the door knob . . .

“quien es?” i shouted, reaching for my piece. this is part of the intrigue of mexico. anything is possible. anything could happen. and you had to be prepared.
there was no answer, but the door slowly opened. i trained my weapon upon it.

it was only lupe, the goofy-looking pda maid. she handed me a ragged towel and made a semi-obscene jerking motion with her right hand. ok. i had been giving her 500 peso propinas for the past year, which entitled me to an extra towel, clean sheets and the occasional hand job. it’s what we veterans refer to as the “pda special”, a closely guarded secret.

then i heard a familiar bubbling and gurgling coming from my stomach. i dashed toward the bathroom. maybe this wasn’t love after all . . .
