Spent the past few nights trying out the various agencies that are listed in the Sofia City publication. They are pretty much hit or miss but I have uncovered a coupel of gems, including one from Euro Luv which costed 50 lv for the hour (the same price the Kamasutra/Velvet/Cleopatra girls want just to kiss their pussys) or 300 for the night.

In regards to Kamasutra, I went back there with a couple of colleagues (for protection, given some of the earlier posts from other members) to complain about the theft (see earlier). The lady manager just laughed - did not care. Therefore, also given other members' experiences on this board, I cannot recommend people go there for sex (although it is great for laying back, having a few drinks and watching the girls dance). Sure there might be some girls that are honest, provide a decent service and do not thieve their clients but not all of us have weeks up our sleeve to go there each night to get to know the girls (as suggested earlier), and with the management attitude the way it is I'm afraid it gives a green light to all their less than honest girls to fleece the poor punter... and you have no course for redress!

I've recently enjoyed a few take outs from KS but while the girls have been very willing (and in one case really quite enthusiastic) in no case have I been able to persuade them to agree to meet away from the club (on the same commercial terms of course, I'm not expecting freebies). They insist that I come to the club to bring them to my apartment, and that they also have to return to the club by closing time (05.00 hrs). They will not agree to meet outside of the club nor will they part with a phone number.

Since it would seem to be financially advantageous for them to meet up with a client privately, what sort of 'arrangement' do they have with the club? I know that they have to split the take out fee (they say 50/50) but the control exercised by the management seems to go much further than simply taking a cut of their earnings when working in the club. Is it a 'heavier' scene than it would appear from the comfort of the couches as they dance and get their kit off?

Does anyone know for sure how the system really operates and is it rather more unpleasant behind the scenes than we would want to know?

Hi, sorry it took a while but I haven't been on the board for a while. I can't quite remember the girl's name but it was along the lines of Ella or something along those lines. As for which agencies, like I said it is pretty much a hit or miss affair and would depend on variables such as the day, time of the day/night etc. I would seriously suggest you get a copy of the Sofia City guide - you can get them at most hotels or the C-2 internet cafe on Vitosha and do a scout; it is educational and fun!

I experienced one story a couple of month ago in one of the three clubs (will keep names a secret to protect the lady). after having talked to a girl nicely over a couple of weeks, we agreed to meet outside, privately. She did not show up. But that was not the reason for this:

When I entered a couple of weeks later that club, she was totally different. Almost crying to herself, all the positive was gone. I insisted and directly asked. She showed me (in the club) blue marks. Obviously she was beaten by somebody - carefully at parts not easily visible. She explained she is being forced to go abroad (western europe) but did not like to. That is what she told. That girl I never saw with somebody for takeout or inside. Just dancing and usual stuff. I guess they forced her to be willing for takeouts. Some weeks later she was still in that club but I wasn't able to monitor if something had changed, didn't talk since then.

So rumors are but no proof.

Regarding being back at 5:00 that could also be some security issue for both, the club and the girl. If she does not show up, they know who took her.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I don't doubt that what goes on behind the scenes is somewhat removed from what we'd all like to think - that the girls are doing it just to make a few bob and that they really enjoy it. Yeah, right! And your point about the 5.00 am curfew is a good one as the girls always ring in when they get to their destination but their physical presence back at the club is clear evidence that they are safe and/or haven't done a runner!

But I still can't work out the inability to make contact outside the club - it isn't clear from your post why your young lady didn't make the appointment. But at least you got as far as her agreeing. I haven't even managed that yet!!! But it's a long summer....heh, heh!

There are few posts here regarding the possibilities of meeting the club girls privately and thoughts about why they seem reluctant. Of course they are not allowed to but why wouldn't they risk it for such an obvious economical upside?

Someone suggested here below that there is a 50/50 split of the fee between the girl and the club. I actually think the club takes a lot more and out of the 300 lev for 5 hours, I think the girl only gets like 50-100. So the economical upside for private meetings is quite serious.

Reason number one is obviously safety. In a private meeting the girl doesn't have any back-up so they are definately concerned about safety. You shouldn't expect a girl to consider a private meeting until having met you quite a few times.

Reason number two is then simply the employment. They usually work 6 nights a week and if they don't show up they lose the deal. Asking for a private meeting means they have to sacrifice their only free night, given that their free night happens to fit your schedule. Calling in sick or something is quite risky as the word gets around - in particular if you're staying in a hotel. Same risk applies if they are "working" on their free nights.

I've actually once gotten to the stage to get a girl to accept to meet privately. This was after three all-nighters with over a period of time. She gave me a phonenumber, which was in order, I later called her on that number. But when in Sofia next time and trying to reach her, the phonenumber was out of service. When I looked for her in the club, I learned she had got pregnant and therefore quit. This indicates that private meetings are possible - but rare and quite risky for the girls.

Thanks for yet more thoughful comments. Yes, it's a strange business the KS/Cleo/Velvet scene. I can see the security benefits to the girls of the system but I still find it strange that they are so reluctant to contemplate outside contact even when they seem to get on with you on the personal level. For sure it's a handy 'excuse' if they find you an objectionable jerk, but as we all know a little courtesy and politeness can usually pay dividends, but it doesn't seem to make any real difference to the 'system'. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself! I can only confirm several of the previous posts that the situation at KS and the other bars has become quiet bad during the weekends. They are totally full, and the better girls are taken unless you get there early (before 11). Also, I have the feeling that the girls are not trying to please you as hard as before since it has become a seller's market. I guess this is a result of the quiet strong influx of foreign investments which bring along a lot of expats and visitors.

Also, I suspect that some girls have gone to the Black Sea resorts, which further limits the choice in the capital. On the other hand, I hope that the situation will improve since most locals seem to go away for the weekends.

In any case, I recommend trying KS during the week. Much better!

BTW, I have never experienced what Fslag338 reports - that a girl is called away from your table to dance for someone else. I hope it is only a bad exception. Typically, if you have bought a drink for a girl she does not leave your table except for her turn to dance on the pole (but not for another customer).

Since the bars are still cheap I recommend that one arrives at 10, gets the best table (accross the pole where they take everything off) and takes his time. Don't take a chance with girls who speak little English or don't seem friendly enough. And ask direct questions. After I've demonstrated that I am nice customer (i.e. have bought a couple of coctails, tipped her for a couple of lap dances and shown interest) I usually ask whether she allows to be gently touched everywhere (breasts and pussy), explaing that I want a GFE for the night (that's why English is required:-). If the answer is a firm no, I usually go for another one. If the answer is maybe, it usually means that the girl is alright (even if she does not allow fingering).

They are indeed very personable and pleasant and speak excellent English and they told me their German is even better.
