I visited AMS this past April and previously in Sept 02. I am totally disappointed in what's being offerred for 50 euros in the main RDL. It's boiled down to a tourist spectacle.

The workers have overpriced their services. Unless it was the low season, which maybe it was, not many purchases were being made. This resulted in a lack of enthusiasm for most of the providers in the window. I m very reluctant to barter with a disinterested window girl as I have learned that in the past it's a mistake to choose one with a long face.

My last trip I tried to go where the locals frequent but it seemed the sex tourists have discovered and ruinedthose areas too and have ruined the opportunity for the 25 euro FS. My preference is not to frequent the Russian mafia controlled courtesians even tho they tend to be the most attractive, their attitude sucks. Nowadays, it makes more sense (cents) to venture out in the more normal Dutch turf like Den Haag, Utrecht canalboats, Arnhem, and Alkmaar for the more authentic and superior bang for the euro. I m wondering if other regulars to Holland are feeling De Wallen is losing its magic or my observations were based on seasonal variation.

if i am on track, "sw" stands for "street walkers" and i have yet to see any behind cs. at singel i had personally experienced a "sw" however to date i have never seen one behind centraal station. the strip/area behind cs is no wider than a football field and the rear exit of cs directs you to the ferries. in my own personal opinion this area is dead, every time i went back looking, never seen anything except bikes, boats and the speeding cars.

You will have the pick of the litter, plenty for you to choose from and I am sure the prices will be fantastic. The reason many here bag on them is due to the way the look, act and I am sure perform, in comparison to the jewels that can be found for just a few more Euro. Just walking by I have found them totally obnoxious and pretty raunchy looking, would have nightmares if ever had to resort to one. They don't look so inviting and not pretty in my eyes "this is not to say I find all black women this way" just the ones working there. If that is your thing tear it up and enjoy. Try the Oude Kerksplein, "Old Church". You might find the majority all in one area. Good luck!

Radiv, don't let other put you off! You will find plenty of coloured ladies especially round the Oude Kerk area but a short word of warning - they are aggressive in their approach and make sure you agree what you want with them up front and you will be alright! There is one attractive looking one in a kamer near the canal, she usually wears a white bra and thong.

If you can get hold of a map, Milau is very close to the crossing of the Bos and Lommerweg with the Admiral de Ruiterweg, two quite large thoroughfairs on the west side of the city.

By public transport, it's easiest to go to Amsterdam Sloterdijk from Centraal and then its a couple of stops on the No 15 bus.

Alternatively, the 12 and 14 trams stop at the crossing.

If you have a car, its only a couple of minutes from the A10 ring road, exit 105 (Bos en Lommer).

Also you can call 0900-9292 and tell them where you are, where you want to get to, and they will tell you how to do it.

I'm going back there this afternoon to try my luck on them both being free.

By the way, within about 10 minutes walking distance (in total) of Milau are three other establishments.
