At least, the last girl I took from there who spoke English well enough did not say anything about it even though we chatted a bit about the time and cost of travel to and from Thermae for her based on where she lived. So it seems she might have mentioned it then. But that was a couple of months ago so it is possible to have happened since.
It was more packed with girls last Saturday night than I have seen it around the 9:30 pm timeframe for a long time.

I agree with your assessment of early Saturday night, and that girls seemed Farang willing. I am 60 but look 50 to Thais. Not handsome but not the worst looking.
I have detected a general improvement in the freelancer scene, based on limited sampling, in terms of more good looking girls. I wonder if has anything to do with Government and Police crackdowns, or state of the economy. I wonder if would even find better lookers in the beer gardens. I really used to struggle to find anything on former visits to Biergarten. Could have been there at the wrong time or better girls were occupied with guys already.

No, we didn't chat up any of the very, very eager interested parties because we were committed to heading elsewhere. But it sure seemed to me it would have been easy as rolling off a log to get any one of the better looking girls in Thermae on that particular night to agree to ST for the standard going rate of 2,000-2,500 baht. Now, whether or not that rate would buy me the level of service I require in general, I can't say because in this case I didn't stop to chat and ask any of them. But recent experience strongly suggests I would.
The basic profile for me and my buddy last Saturday night: I am a 63 year old Caucasian, weight proporttional to my height. My buddy is a 67 year old African American, a bit heavy for his height with a fairly prominent belly. Thermae girls see you coming before you spot them. then again I saw a slobby Caucasian guy with a wife beater shirt talking to a hot Thermae girl.

I don't see sandals putting the girls off too much. I don't pong like some Farangs though. Taking a shower and underarm deodorant matters.
I suppose guys won't know what girls pay to establishment just like most punters are not aware of what is the house take from a full fee up front at an Oily. I like to understand the price structures, especially when house takes are very high like in Annies, Dr. BJ, Loli-tas, etc.
The rumour about girl fee came from an unreliable source, so I need to check myself next time.
For guys, they do try to usher you straight over to buy a drink at the counter, before you even got to check out the talent.

I didn't see anyone collecting baht, making change, handing out tickets at the door last Saturday. Could be the most challenging test ever for one of those amazing ticket sellers on the buses. How the hell do they remember exactly who has bought a ticket and who has not after 30 minutes during butt to belly bus rides at rush hours? LOL. But imagine one of them weaving through the hordes of girls in Thermae and trying to remember.

However, based on what I have had said to me, I think Thai women are actually quite attracted to the long pants with sandals look on a man. It does strike a nice combination of status and respect (the long pants) and approachable casual and relaxed demeanor (the sandals).
Age might come into play here as well. I think a man over the age of, oh, 48 or so, ought to dress like he has been around and recognizes that Bangkok is a major international city worth putting aside the sloppy beach resort wear on a Saturday night out in favor of long pants. I wouldn't go so far as to suffer needlessly during the height of Hot Season. But most of the time I think long pants are easily do-able and just come across more respectful and aware for men over a certain age and experience.

I think they look for a nice guy, not too arrogant, not too macho, not too full of himself, not too demanding, not too stingy, and not too stinky, and easy to talk too. Guys that can allow the girl to feel relaxed. Maybe if the guy is really superman, they might have the hots for him. LOL In that case, Thermae maybe the wrong venue.
Have been in Thailand 9 nights now, after a drought. LOL. Did not monger every single day, slowing down now. My favorite girl for the week, was the Billboard girl. So passionate for kissing and face so cute / pretty. Not the absolute best body but good enough (small tits the weakness). She was also the most expensive including drinks and BF. However I will repeat. Now I think is a little like Rachel McAdams for face look.

I don't think it is however, quite the scam I experienced in Soho or Hong Kong.
One can easily check the drink prices before ordering. I don't actually know how well publicised are the lady drink prices and what those prices actually are. I have forgotten but I assume not too massive. However we do understand that this is part of how these bars make any money at all. I expect these "Arab" bars (also Rio, Kiss, Sahara, Deja Vu, Midnight) all run at a loss, and are for money laundering, but I could be wrong. Its just I see a lot of girls and never saw a lot of customers.
I never thought I was ripped off in one of these places, just under-whelmed by the level of attention from the desired girls.

But non barfineable Coyotes very often wear tights, more-or-less the same as pantyhose. If the girl grabbing at you outsde a bar on Soi Cowboy does not have bare legs under that cute bikini or skirt covered butt, 99.99% likely she is not there to have sex with customers.
I suppose that might not strictly mean she won't leave with you after you pay an inflated barfine now that I see a report of some going with a customer after he paid. However, as that report turned out, she had no intention of engaging in sex with the guy who paid. And, yeah, I must amend my earlier assrssment and now rate THAT scam as the scammyest element of the Coyote system!
