Yes that club has been closed for almost a year. Initially they were closing it for remodeling but as with many things in Philippines, the plans fell through. Something to do with a landlord/tenent squabble.
If you are in that area, check out the upscale 'Halo' complex just down the street. Owned by the same owners as 'Autoshop' in Mango Square.

Typical scenario no doubt where tenant starts making money so Landlord increases rent to an uneconomical amount. Landlord then ends up with an empty shell and no rent. Typical South East Asian effort.
I will check out Halo in my upcoming September trip. Although the fact that it is upscale worries me a bit , lol.

I didn't believe it, but I've had it confirmed by Filipinas, that many guys are merely armchair jockeys fantasizing of making it to the Philippines.
One girl who collected hundreds of dollars from guys overseas, who never made it over, told me how common it was for lonely, isolated guys to live in a fantasy land, and never actually set foot in the PI. She wasn't a scammer, but a cute, intelligent young lady looking for a relationship, and finding nothing but dreamers and losers.
To me, going to the PI makes life worth living. It is the single greatest discovery of my life. And yet I can't get the number of guys who can't get off their asses and get to the PI.

Some of the men have no intention of meeting these girls they chat with but, they just enjoy chatting with them. Some men don't mind sending money to a pinay girl just to establish that friendship. Just having someone to chat with or talk to makes them happy. They are content with that already. Some males are already with a significant other but chat with other girls as an escape especially when their current relationship is not going all too well. Just hearing or communicating with that long distance pen pal can brighten ones day.
Other males on the other hand, just want to see the girl naked in front of the cam and show their body. If they do it, then they would send money. Practically 95% of the pinay girls tell me this. I remember I came across a female who was testing me to see if I was like that as well. I guess I don't blame her if alot of other guys do it.
But, it goes both ways as well. Some men did make the effort to meet the girl. But, come to find out, she was too shy to meet and was also too young. Other girls don't follow through in meeting up when the man is there. But hey, that's why you have backup. It's expected that not all of them will want to meet up. If one don't show up, contact the other whose on the list.
For the guys who do get all perverted on these girls, it makes the others guys who aren't like that look bad. The same applies to girls who scam guys online. It makes the others girls who are really good girls look bad as well.

might be a while before it reopens.[/quote]walked by an hour ago. they were madly clearing out all the debris from inside, and lots of girls milling around. whether it will be re-fitted or claimed by the developers in the area is anyone's guess.

Was in Cebu 3 weeks ago and Paseo has not only closed down but has gone! Only the roof is left standing and the area underneath is a wasteland now! Shame as that area seemed to be up and coming.
Heard that the developers want that property.

My source suggests it will be repaired and work will be back to normal evetually but it tad upsetting as SD seems to be a far better place under the new owner than before......chat soon Polyorchid, trust you are settling in well
GERALDINE Gella, 27, sent off at the airport last Tuesday night an American man who used to be her boyfriend. About six hours later, she strangled his current girlfriend.
Gella told police investigators it was self-defense.
She tried to cover her tracks by stuffing the victim, Marylyn Zacal, 22, inside a suitcase and dumping the body in a grassy lot in Talisay City.
But her brother, who refused to help her get rid of the body, called the police while she was away.
When the single mon returned to her home in Barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City, a police team was waiting.
Homicide investigator SPO1 Rolito Jumao-as hasn’t ruled out the possibility the attack was planned.
“Siya mao’y akong nakita nga dunay motibo sa pagpatay (She seems to have a motive for attacking),” he said.
Police have yet to decide whether to file a case for obstruction of justice against taxi driver Jay Blanco, who picked up Gella in Lapu-Lapu, placed her heavy suitcase
inside the car and drove her to Talisay City.
Blanco said he had no idea the bag contained a dead woman—until Gella asked her to dump its contents.
“Oy, tawo man lagi na day,” Blanco recalled his reaction.
Zacal’s older sister Mary Joy said in a televised report that she is convinced the killing was premeditated, because the suspect was jealous.
She said she told Marylyn not to see Zacal, who called her up invited her to go out Tuesday night.
“Akong gibadlong akong manghod kay dili ko mosugot nga magkita sila pero akong manghod ang wala magpapugong ka’y amiga ra kuno sila (I told her I wouldn’t let her see Zacal but she insisted. She said they were friends),” she said.
Gella sent off her ex-boyfriend Mark Mosley, 48, at the Mactan airport where he had a 9 p.m. flight last Tuesday.
In an interview, Gella said she and Mosley broke up two years ago because of Zacal, but that she and the new girlfriend stayed friends.
She called up Zacal and invited her to go out dancing. They meet at a bar in Lahug, where they drank some tequila and Tanduay rum.
Gella said she brought Zacal to her house in Buaya because the latter wanted to see what appliances the American national had bought for her.
Gella, who hails from Tabango, Leyte, said she told Zacal she received P16,000 to P20,000 a month from Mosley. Zacal reportedly said she received only P4,000 to P6,000.
Zacal, according to Gella, clenched her fists and tried to grab her hair twice. They grappled until Zacal fell on the bed. That’s when, Gella said, she grabbed an electrical cord and tied it around Zacal’s neck.
“Wala na siya makasukol nako kay iyang usang kamot nadat-ugan man sa unlan og ang usa natabonan sa habol (She couldn’t fight back because one of her hands was under a pillow, while the other was under a blanket),” said Gella.
But PO2 Epifanio Comedido, a homicide investigator with the Talisay City police, said the victim had no other bruises or marks except for those on her neck.
There were no signs of a fight. He said Zacal, who was bigger and taller than Gella, could have been killed in her sleep.
“That’s one thing that we should look into. Whatever we gather here, we will submit it to the Lapu-Lapu City police, being the lead investigating unit,” he said.
When Zacal’s body was found in a hilly portion of Linao, Talisay City, she was barefoot. Her legs were bent.
Her body was found past 5 a.m. in a vacant grassy lot in Sitio Antipolo, Barangay Linao, just 50 meters away from the Talisay City Rehabilitation and Detention Center.
Gella later revealed that Mosley had been her boyfriend for six years. Zacal, she said, was engaged to the foreigner this past year.
When she saw the police car parked outside her house, Gella allegedly tried to escape by ordering the cab driver to make a U-turn.
The police caught them both.

I will be in Cebu tomorrow and I will try and get a update. I talked to one of my friends yesterday and all she knew was the bar was still closed, she isn't working and no idea when they will open back up. I do feel bad for Carl, as he has invested time and money to make it a better place:(

I agree Robb, he has made it a place to visit as before he came IMHO it was a dump and I never returned. Will take time I am told but he will open as he had a good business now, good girls etc
As for the girls am sure you can help a few of them..;)
Also my fav friend is back on Sunday and am hoping to be there soon(ish) also....now planning weekend trips despite a 15 hour flying time...cheap flights from here for me so why no indulge my elderly body
