There are legitimate reasons they will not allow certain girls in and crooked reasons why the same girls continue to get in again & again.

The need for drugs drives some girls to do things beyond the expected servicing. Once addicted to these drugs, they go downhill. No, often times those girls are denied entry because they don't know the gatekeeper. They aren't "in" so they find themselves sitting outside depending on the guy at the door's "whim".
The owner may initially come across as ok but I have no use for him.. AT ALL! He's arrogant, self-centered, profit driven opportunist who does NOT have his clients interests at heart.
I've told my experience, so I won't repeat it here but I did have a nice conversation with a couple of the policemen that work the little station there in Laguito last month. They referred to him as "un hombre muy malo" and gave me a face like he just chugged a raw lime.
If you ever have any problems there don't look to club management for help.
There are other places opening up and Cartagena will continue to grow.

I had a personal close encounter with him and KNOW without a doubt what kind of a guy he is. I know that everyone's personal experiences lead them to their own belief system. And that's cool.
We just have to be careful not to drop our guard out there.
I know it's human nature to say & think that we "know" the Colombianos over a period of time. And to some extent we will/do.
One of the biggest mistakes we can make is to make ANY generalized statement about the Colombianos like "The chicas there are all _________"
Because although they have similar upbringing and values, they are as varied as we gringos are.
On the spectrum of good & bad, they are all over the map.
What amazes me is how easily lying and deceit comes to some people. Particularly in Colombia.
I have a very intimate relationship with certain colombianos and have seen it myself. I've seen the tactics from "the other side" and it's for that reason that in spite of "good fruits" displayed, I remain unconvienced.
I've never been robbed, attacked, drugged or been in a fight there. Though the opportunity for each HAS presented itself for each.
I've been to Colombia at least 30 times and LOVE it.
In spite of this I would warn ALL readers that regardless of the color of your skin, your fluency of Spanish or how many times you've been, YOU ARE A GRINGO. Latino or not, if you're from the USA you are considered by many/most to be gringo y YA!
As with anything, there are exceptions.
My advise is to never drop your guard. If you choose to drink more that a few beers, make sure you are not out there alone. No matter how "sweet" a chica seems, do not give her any opportunity to take advantage of you (Dar papaya) as it is the belief of many that it is their obligation to TAKE that advantage and use it. NEVER leave a drink unattended. Even once she's back in your room.
Enjoying Colombia is easy. We can all do that.
The art comes when you can see past to illusions, the smoke, the mirrors, the potential dangers and see the beauty that exists. The truely decent, smokin' hot babes to be enjoyed, the music, the food, the culture, the incredible upbeat attitudes that make the Colombianos such great socialites.
I think that the universal truth of "with great risk comes great reward" applies to Colombia particularly in regards to their women. There's no place in the word where they are quite the same. But be careful, be smart, be cunning and enjoy. But never. Ever. Drop your guard.

That was not my intent. I just had to clarify my position since you chose to challenge it.
I did learn the expression "dar papaya" in Colombia along with a host of other expressions over the years.
The reason I used it, if you read the context, was to illustrate a way of thinking that is unique to many of us here in the US. Very important to know & understand when interacting with Colombianos.
Why would you insult me for demonstrating a very real & accurate Colombian mindset like "dar papaya".?
If your experience exceeds the advice given here and it is of no use to you then please don't cheapen it for those who could use it and would like to know how it affects them.

This drug is being used more and more throughout Colombia and SOMEONE reading this exact post could actually benefit from it and avoid being drugged, robbed or even killed.
Guys, it can be mixed in your drink, blown in your face or laced on an item handed to you on the streets. That prior to such advice as this. Your might ordinarily instictively accept out of common courtesy. Guys never accept anything handed to you from someone you don't know or trust while in Colombia.
LDV's fame is growing.
More & more opportunistic chicas are being drawn in.

I'd look past insecure observations such as "who knows more", or "whose posts are most impressive" and focus on the content.
Such insults could make you appear insecure and even threatened by superior knowledge of others threaning one's "senior" title resulting in a desire to attack. Mock the well intended comments of other.
Versus a healthy appreciation for a new/different prospective or set of experiences that add to the potential richness of sites such as this.
I know I've been shown a new way of viewing my own experiences based on posts I've read here many, many times.
As I said guys, the risk remains there. But the rewards Colombia has are difficult to match back home. Take this and ALL advice to heart, keep what works, disregard what doesn't. And always, always keep your wits about you with "your guard up" 'cause when you do. The risk factor goes wayyyyy down.

I've stayed in tc 403. It is a very nice apartment. Ny next trip I tried to get the same apartment, it was taken. I stayed in sc 803. It wasnt as nice as tc 403 but the location is better. [/QUOTE]I stayed in tc803, 2BR 2 floors, it was pretty nice. Torre centauro is decent in general, and "american standard" (by this I mean the toilets flush, there's hot water, and no roaches)
In fact it was nicer than the Hilton, which DOES have roaches.
