Tried to get a taxi coming out of Shangra-la to take me to Mermaids in Lapu Lapu. Driver was from Cebu City, and "claimed" not to know the bar. I should have gotten out and tried another taxi, but he offered to take me into Cebu city for some fun (plus needed an excuse to hit up a pharmacy since my girl was sick in the hotel room).

Of course, this brought the price up for taxi fare. He first took me to Gate 3, which had a boarding house of SP's from rural areas. The only talent I remotely liked gave me attitude (princess with lighter skin), so driver and I moved on to Love City. Unfortunatey, he walked me up into the bar, so I knew that I would be pegged as a tourist (even though I had lived in Manila and speak a little dagalog). Dancers were 7's, cutie came up to me 8 package, good attitude. Mamasan quoted me 550pesos for barfine, I asked how much for ST, and she said all included. WTF? Further questioning revealed she wanted 5,500pesos! Beelined out of there (worse than Burgoss Street in Manila!)

Driver took me to real ghetto, with pimps trying to stop the car, and unload their disease infested lifers . . .

Back to Gate 3. Picked "20 yr old" second choice, negotiated from 3,500 pesos to 2,000 (still too high, but tired and clock was ticking). Another 300 pesos for a guesthouse closeby, service was 7. Dropped her off (avoiding taxi money request), and hightailed it back to Shangra-la. 600pesos for driver, 200pesos tip, back to room.

Kinda fun adventure, but would have rather stayed in Lapu Lapu at Mermaids, and found a guesthouse closeby. What's the barfine and ST rate there for SP's?

Because of the omnipotent church, contraception (and information about it!) is in very short supply in the PI. Hopefully that will change this year with the almost certain election of NoyNoy Aquino as President on May 10 (he is 18% ahead with less than a week to go) who supports the Reproductive Health Bill that will bring the PI into the 20th century regarding contraception. His opponents use his support of the bill to attack him as pro abortion. In the meantime, carrying a tab of RU 486 (Plan be in US) is a smart idea. Or bring several, but try to sell it on the streets like they do Viagra and Cialis and you'll be deported (and banned from returning) faster than you can say Jollibee.

Medical/surgical abortion, although illegal, is widely available in bigger cities like Cebu. Not that widely used, but there.

AJacobson: As a fellow athiest I rarely quote the Bible but the adage "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" seems to apply here. Mort was more responsible than the majority of mongers in the PI in that he used a condom (albeit an inferior locally made one which is not such a grand idea), and unless you will declare that you never bearback it seems quite hypocritical for you to come down like a ton of bricks on poor old Mort don't you think? And your comment about a foreign baby being an 18 year meal ticket suggests you have no conception (pardon the pun) for the reality on the ground in the PI where there is no functioning child support system.

Made it to Cebu for a couple of days after extended stay in Mindanao. Stayed in Fuente area with SO. Didn't have much chance to get out and about. Therefore tried some of the local massage places. No luck. Didn't push the issue, but wasn't even offered a HJ. Got the impression that the girls would be more friendly with takeout to my room. Had a couple of SMBs at Silver Doller in early evening. There were plenty of good looking young women there contrary to previous reports here. Spent some time with little spinner name of Sassy. Enjoyed her company but couldn't swing the take out. To my disapointment there was no inhouse room available for ST. Oh well. By the way observed a caucasian guy acting like a real jerk. Must be the new owner. Sure enough. Keep up the good work guys and I appreciate the informative posts on this board. Now pack to Florida, USA where I can at least get a HJ in the AMPs.

The point is that this could have happened to any girl whether she was an 18 year old virgin or an experienced 25 year old girl and it could have easily happened to any of us guys as well. I was simply airing my frustration at not being able to find a practical solution as easily as I could do back home. Are you saying that if you get a girl pregnant by accident that you will be happy to pay for the results for the next 18 years. Or are you saying that if she is an 18 year old virgin we should accept full financial responsibility for any offspring but that if she is more sexually experienced she deserves what she gets?

Travelled down to Moalboal last night but due to domestic problems had to return to Cebu City this morning. Ended up at the AA Barbecue for dinner tonight in Lahug and then crossed the road to go to the Eden Pub. Ordered a Black Russian and drinks for my gf and her kids. I was feeling a bit tired and irritable and this is how the conversation went
Waiter "here is your drink sir"
Me " Thank you"
Me eyeing the drink curiously and then sips the drink tentatively
Me "Bartender what ingredients have you put in my drink, I ordered a black russian?"
Bartender " Sir it is baileys and vodka"

I paid for the drinks and left without leaving a tip. We went to the Sunflower Disco just a couple of hundred meters down the same road. 100 pesos cover charge per person with a reasonable live band. Drinks on the expensive side for two milk shakes and a beer and orange juice at 650 pesos. Got irritated with a large gang of loud, disruptive Korean students binge drinking on SM's and chain smoking next to me. Lost my rag with one who bent over in a drunken state and shoved his ass into my gf's face. He got the hint when forcefully shoved away. Just as well my father wasn't here, he might have given a more robust response having lost several comrades in the Korean War. Perhaps I will be less grumpy with more sleep. Not in the mood for mongering tonight, will stick with my regular gf and catch up on some much needed sleep

I was staying in Mactan a few years ago and also got a taxi that didn't know where Mermaids was. He took me to Dream and said that it was the old Mermaids.

Mermaids is located (coming from Cebu City) right passed the new bridge. If you take the new bridge going to Mactan and when you exit the off ramp have the driver make the first left U-turn he can and then proceed back towards the new bridge entrance ramp and before you get on the ramp Mermaids is located on your right. It has a small (2' X 4') flashing sign and it is right past the gas station. You have to have the taxi pull down into the parking lot as it not located on the side of the road.

Actually, 2000 php at Gate 3 is a good price for a westerner so you must be a good negociator! Love City is Filipino owned and his take would probably be upwards of 1500 out of that 5500 php.

Mermaids BF is 2500 php but they might try to zing you for more. Watch your tab there as well. One of the mamasans is a real looker, too bad you cannot BF her! :p

As I suspected, so I made it quite clear that if I didn't get a reasonable price after Love City that I would go back to my GF at the hotel (hence the lower price at Gate 3).

Colon streets were downright dodgy! I thought for sure I was going to get mugged or kidnapped (had happened to friends of mine living in Makati in Manila).

Too bad I missed the opportunity to hit up Mermaids (back home now). How is the quality there anyways? Is there a guesthouse closeby? (My buddy is now visting Cebu and would appreciate the Intel).

Yesterday woke up and had breakfast with the gf and kids. During breakfast the gf tells me she has already arranged a date for me at 2pm in the afternoon and that we are meeting this girl outside Metro Gaisano in Colon Street. I am eagerly anticipating this next encounter as my gf assures me that this girl although 19 is a virgin and eager to meet a foreigner.
Once breakfast is out of the way we head up to the roof for a late morning swim, my god it was hot. Reminds me of the time I stayed in Palm Springs California when the pool was like taking a hot bath.

I am a bit restless so I start exploring the views from the top of the hotel. As I look over the edge of the balcony I see three girls walking towards the hotel from one of the rear backstreets, all frantically waving to me. They are all probably very late teens and from where I am standing, appear very cute. I shout to my gf who comes over and joins in the waving. I tell her I think the girls are quite sexy and with that she shouts "wait", grabs her sandals and shoots off downstairs.

About 15 minutes later she reappears and tells me all three girls are willing to have sex with me. I look at her increduously and ask her what did she say to them. My gf replied "I just asked them if they want to fuck a foreigner for 1000 pesos" Sometimes I think the allowance I send her every month for her and her kids is money well spent.

Anyway I am now in a quandry, do I wait until 2pm and meet the girl we have already agreed to meet or do I indulge in some fun here and now. Not being as young as I used to be I decide to wait until the pre arranged meet at 2pm, I know full well I will only be able to manage one squirt and then all bets will be off until at least 4 hours have passed.

I send my gf down to collect their cell number and later we head down to Colon Street. We meet the girl as arranged who has arrived with her cousin, both of whom are 19. As soon as the greetings are out of the way, the girl trys the usual ambush, "ohh we are so hungry" I tell them both they will have enough money to buy food once I have finished with her, but I have no intentions of waiting around and feeding them both. In any case I know I am feeling so horny that the deed will in all honesty be over within about 45 minutes. The girl then turns to me and said "what are we waiting for lets go"

I return to the Sogo Hotel with everyone in tow, pay my 390 for the room and leave Daisy, her kids and the cousin waiting in reception. I give Daisy 200 pesos to get the kids drinks and ice cream and to get the other girl something.

Once in the room the girl turns to me and says "can we talk?"
"Sure thing" I say and sit down on the bed thinking to myself I don't really want to have a deep and meaningful conversation at the moment. The girl then tells me she is not ready for sex just yet and can she meet me tomorrow........Aaarghh WTF is going on???. I try to remain calm and reassure her but she is having none of it. I then asked her why she let me pay for the room but all I got was a shrug of her shoulders. It was clear from the further conversation we had that sex was not going to happen so I return to my gf in reception in a forlorn state.

Daisy has an in depth conversation with the girl and then tells me she will do it for 1500 pesos instead of the previous agreed sum of 1000. No problem I tell her but they then resume another in depth conversation in Cebuano and I wait patiently. Finally the two girls get up and leave and Daisy tells me she has changed her mind. I can't help feeling angry inside and Daisy is worried that I will hold her to blame and I reassure her that is not the case. This is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me, but I guess it is just another rich experience to add to my collection of Philippine memories.

We head back to the hotel, and Daisy gets a text from the girl asking will I agree to 3000. I tell Daisy to send a reply that I will not print here. The other three girls Daisy spoke to earlier are not available until tomorrow so Daisy tells me to go and get a GRO that night. (Bar girl to you and me). My gf is truly amazing and as you can see is very open minded. Probably one of two reasons why she is so accomodating 1) I am just so handsome and attractive with an amazing personality she will do anything to keep me, or 2) She does not want to lose her monthly allowance. It is a difficult one for me to work out, I will need to think about that a bit more :-)

I do enjoy having the gf's kids to stay as mine are all adults now, but it does prevent me having other adventures such as threesomes which I know Daisy would be happy to donif the kids were not around.

That night I head round to Blue Angels. Busiest I have seen it, with quite a few foreigners and loads of girls. I actually made a mental note and counted 14 girls all together. I was completely engulfed as I walked it with about 6 girls all crowding round me asking the usual bullshit questions. None of them really did it for me and I felt claustrophobic being crowded before I had even a chance to settle in my chair. I politely told the girls I just wanted a drink for now and that I would call one of them over if I wanted company later. Finished my beer and decided to leave alone and went back to the hotel woke Daisy and had a lovely blow job before nodding off to sleep.

IMHO you should have jumped at the 3 when the opportunity presented. Strike while the iron is hot and NEVER count on things to go as expected in the PI. If you've not had a Filipina change her mind (or mood) before, how many Filipinas you've known becomes a seriously debatable question LOL

If the girl is really a virgin even 3000 would be considered cheap considering what some pay for that "privilege".

Daisy sounds like a gem. Arrange the 3 way by not being kuriput and giving the kids money to go eat and see a movie or something thereby buying you an afternoon alone with Daisy and the other girl(s).

The restaurant where they serve you on banana leaves is Golden Cowrie on the road to Lahug from Fuente. Well worth a visit and reasonably priced. Outdoor seating is hot, noisy and smoky, the indoor aircon part quite cold.

Taxis always try to get commissions but showing you know the local price to the driver, and mentioning that you'll tip him, helps reduce the commission which is negotiable (like most everything in the PI).

wow... what u say come as a surprise to me. I recall I paid about php.1100 + taxes upon checking out. Reason I recall as it was about the same as in The Manila Hotel at that time.

I shall refrain to post info if I know the info may be a few years old from now on :)
