The Steel Trap Plot Point
First to admit, I'm a skeptic. Have had a number of memorable pleasant experiences where I was proved wrong.
But in this case, the smoking gun was: I told her we could go back to her place, deliver the keys, return to continue. No, her friend was still at the bar (I knew that already from the background sounds in the call). Fine, bar closer, we could go there to deliver the keys, then return. No, friend was afraid to go home alone (hey, I'll play, keep digging). No problem, go to the bar, all leave from the bar, take her home, then return to continue. That's when her train ran out of track. Declined. Rather obvious. I really DON'T think she was concerned with my discomfort, just a simple business decision, a chance at a double header.
The issue was that she was mad that I paid MY ST rate, NOT HER'S. The benefit of having an agreement before leaving the bar; clear when agreement changed, no misunderstanding. If she accepted my LT rate, she accepts my ST rate when SHE changes the contract. The shame was, when she orgasmed, her whole body flushed, and you can't fake that (or maybe she was just allergic to me, who's to say).
The "lost keys", the more traditional "room too cold", etc. [S]...[/S] Why? Just tell the truth, you want to leave for whatever reason. I'm not a warden, free to go. I always appreciated honesty, even if, regardless, there might be repercussions. The lies I find insulting, my ego in not that easily bruised. YMMV.
Your probing and, for the fun of it perhaps, trying to find a way to solve that "lost key" problem is a great example of Thai girls' talent for conjuring up what I refer to as a "Steel Trap Plot Point", worthy of the best Hitchcock scenarios. Although I think it is usually a lost or only one security key card that is either too expensive to duplicate or the landlord only allows one per room, not just an ordinary key that can be duplicated for 30 baht.
There is no solution to her problem that wouldn't benefit her and penalize you if you were to have paid up the full agreed upon LT amount, right? LOL. You offer a logical solution. Nope, won't work because whatever. So you offer a solution to that new problem. Nope, won't work because whatever. And on it goes. There is no escape, no way out. A Steel Trap plot point. Brilliant.
Thai girls are geniuses at writing that stuff. Covid test results, stock, kept or borrowed photos of those little kits with the two bands, etc have added new narrative twists and turns to the "lost key" plot points for their scenarios.
And the beauty of it is none of those Steel Trap Plot Points are the girl's fault. She can not be blamed. She can not be responsible for you paying a full LT amount but only getting a ST. That is a critical element in Thai culture. It is never their fault. That's why they can't just tell the truth.
Yes, the only way to cut through that steel trap is to do what you did; pay what is fair and accept the fact that now YOU will be blamed for the shocking final act of this Hitchcock movie. Pass the popcorn, please. LOL.
