Actually, there has. If you're not vaccinated, and you did not recover from Covid in the past 6 months, or you cannot provide a vaccine-exemption letter from a doctor, you're not allowed to enter Thailand in January.

So I guess the comment didn't age too well.

J&J is good
How stringent are they on checking your vaccination card before boarding in the US?
Is a photo accepted?
Leave in two weeks, even if I somehow get the J&J jab it is only one shot. Would I not be allowed to enter Thailand?
Majorly concerned because trip is essentially paid in full except for few Airbnb remaining balances. And I'm in all of Thailand for at least a month.
J&J shot is good. You are not required to have two shots if you have had the one shot J&J. I entered Thailand in May on one shot J&J with no problem. Not sure about shot verification. I got my shot at CVS so was able to get a QR code.

Just scanned my 4 fingers, sealed and out every time.
Going to Pattaya on April 15th from EWR. Anyone traveling during that time.
Go to Sexy Bar. You tube channel S3 xy Bar. Lots of you tubers who stream from there can show you the ropes. Hahaha.
How stringent are they on checking your vaccination card before boarding in the US?
Is a photo accepted?
In February-April my airline looked carefully at many different check points, including when I checked my bags in USA. I showed original, so I don't know if photo would be accepted.
In November-December I showed my vaccination card a couple times, but I don't think anybody looked at it, including BKK immigration.
I doubt anybody knows exactly how new rules will be enforced.

The day of travel lines right up with the required 14 days. I barely slept last night. I'm not a fan of being vaccinated, but they got me by the balls. Literally LOL.

2nd of all. Seems that without a vaccin you can fly. Just get a test on arrival.
TiT to the max. It seems to change and shift every hour at the moment. Better keep an eye on some facebookgroups and all.
Offical note to Airline companies contains this since today:
5. The airlines must check the documents as required. If passenger fails to produce document proving these requirements are met, the passenger is subjected to be tested at the port of arrival.

Highly likely
Going to Pattaya on April 15th from EWR. Anyone traveling during that time.
There's a real good chance I'll be in Pattaya at some point during that time. I haven't booked my ticket yet but planning on traveling to Thailand 4/16-4/30. Currently looking at heading up to Chiang Mai for a few days first.
Shoot me a DM at some point. I'm traveling from US as well.
Going to Pattaya on April 15th from EWR. Anyone traveling during that time.
So you are going for Songkran, worst period of the year IME. Have fun with the water.
I do not think that is a thing anymore. I did not show any stinking vaccine card. Maybe it depends on which country you go through.
Why are your experience s so different from the rest of us.
When required I always had my stinking card checked.
So you are going for Songkran, worst period of the year IME. Have fun with the water.
LOL, AGREED. Fun ONCE, BKK. But upcountry, I enjoyed, old school, "respectful". A squirt or a sprinkling of water, not a soaking. Powder dabbed on face, not a total dusting. You are a participant, not a target. YMMV.

Thailand has not mentioned anywhere in published guidance that they will accept a test on arrival in lieu of vaccination.
Also, the link you provided doesn't provide any mention of covid guidance or even Thailand that I can find in the content.

Uturn from Thailand.

So all restrictions are waived. Nothing changed. Nothing needed. Ready to go!
