Whew, I was worried because it seems to be much harder to get the single shot by J&J. Plus, I'm holding out as long as possible. No shot for me!
To the dude with zero humor. I'm sure you're a real joy to be around. My balls comment is more in reference to the anticipated fun to be had with the ladies. If you can't see how balls plays a part then I don’t know what to tell ya.
Why are your experience s so different from the rest of us.
When required I always had my stinking card checked.
No idea. Maybe it was not required in November. I went to Thailand from Korea. The lady was concerned whether I had a visa for some reason. I just showed her my Thai drivers license and she was like ok fine. Then she asked about my dad and I said he does not have one. She did some stuff in the computer and was like okay. She never asked anything about a vaccination.
So you are going for Songkran, worst period of the year IME. Have fun with the water.
Plus 1 bro. A nationwide drunk, with waterfights in urban areas and the worst in Pattaya? In some of the worst heat?
In 30 years, I've done Songkran and one full rainy season, in muddy Siem Reap no less, but with a virtually private pool.
Have fun.
UPDATE: Monday 3 pm – Thai Public Health minister Anutin Charnvirakul has CANCELLED the need to provide proof of Covid vaccination certificates before entering Thailand on all flights or across borders.
The announcement, made around 3 pm today, was EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. The announcement follows three changes to the policy in as many days.

No vaccination card check on arrival, no landing card, no customs declaration form. Just gave hardcopy of visa to immigration officer and he filled out everything.
Wow.
Shameless.
In a normal democracy such incompetence from a government minister would see him sacked. Ok well some normal democracies.

So today I was at one of the public laundromats. I was washing clothes and needed to buy small detergent packets. There is a small section in the laundromat where they sell these packets plus they will also do you laundry for you like a regular laundry shop. I go up the lady who was walking around this small section (chatting on the phone), I took two packets and gave her 10 baht for both. Then she walked around the laundromat still yapping on her phone. I saw there was a microwave in the public area of this small section. There was also coffee in a thermos and styrofoam cups with cream and sugar. It looked like a waiting area. Anyways, I had some pizza slices (still in its to go container) that I bought 10 minutes ago from a shop about 15 meters away. It was a bit cold, so I used the microwave for about minute. During that time, she walked in and asked what am I waiting for? I said I am using the microwave to finish. Then she flips out and says that's for guests. I said, I am doing laundry. She's says guests that live here. I said "here?" Apparently it's also a guesthouse / laundromat. I said "oh, I didn't know. " And even apologized "sorry." She continues to raise her voice and berate me telling me how I could have broken the microwave and stuff. I meant she kept on and on and on, even after I told her I really didn't know. Everything is in a public area. I wanted to tell her to calm down and it's not the big of a deal. But that would probably just piss her off even more. As I was walking away back to my clothes, you can still hear her going on and on in Thai loudly. Anybody that is a resident here and know the Thai behavior well. Why did she act like that when it was really an honest mistake? Microwave in the public area of laundromat that apparently has a guesthouse in the back or up the stairs. Strange I thought.
So today I was at one of the public laundromats. I was washing clothes and needed to buy small detergent packets...
I wisch I have your problems. LOL.
She continues to raise her voice and berate me
Very unusual for Thai person to raise their voice. Except for the bar scene, I cannot remember a Thai woman ever raising her voice to a visitor.
You have just not been in the right place at the right time. I have seen it plenty of times.
It is not socially acceptable for a Thai to show anger in public. If they do, it means that they are out of control.

The ladies I know who work bar in Pattaya are getting worn down by the crowds of customers. Just too many of them, and no one can afford to take a day off and miss a payday.
