He introduces me (damn)so now all these fine chics are walking by seeing us talking to this ugly chic. He then asks the girl to go to classicos with us but he tells me his major pesos are in the room and can I float him (he won't spend his money but he wants to spend mine). I say I see a chic I know and that I'll meet him in classicos. I ditch him and his ugly ass girl. The next morning (Sunday) he comes up to me at 4 roses. He said the machine ate his atm, he still has to pay the girl and Europa won't let him stay. Plus he has to get to SDQ to fly out. I ask him how he could travel without an emergency credit card. Then I tell him use his passport as collateral to stay at Europa. Europa says no, so I go and vouch for him and they agreed. I tell him to come to 4 roses and I'll buy him a drink. This mother Fucker comes to 4 roses with the ugly girl and ordes 2 Cuba libres for me to pay. Last night he was drinking coke now because I'm buying its Cuba libre? I pay for the Cuba libres and leave never to see his ass again. The moral is some personalities don't agree but as a wingman you shouldnt be a burden to the other.

Seems the Cuban police can put a chica in jail just for being seen with a foreigner. What's fellow mongers! Long time reader, first time poster. I have been to Santo Domingo twice in 2004; both times were OK at best (because of my lack of spanish and the city was so spread out you really needed a spanish speaking tour guide and taxi) which I though was a ripoff! Currently, I am enrolled in "Rosetta Stone Spanish-latin course" which is outstanding. I am retired Air Force and I have lived in Germay, England, Korea, Philiphines, and California to name a few countries I have been. Past five years I have vacationed in the Philiphines (Thailand October 2008) which I love both but I plan on living in the PI in five years. However, I have found it harder to endure my far east trips, even though I am only fifty. Therefore, I did some research on Sousa (I do love a big booties and down-to-earth-women) which has become more appealing to me mainly because I live on the east coast of the USA Nevertheless, I will be in Sousa 28th of April. 3rd of May, therefore, if any monger want to have a few drinks and talk a little politics, mongering experience, and a lot about the chicas, give me a text. In response to the attitudes, I am sorry you are running into chicas with attitudes I guess any chica that is with me will have an attitude for a week because I am extremely large, therefore the attitude with other mongers ( I take the blame). The attitude can not be due to money because that price is set before reaching my place and it is fully explained to them what I want and how big I am. I had over 100 times a girl say anal but when seeing the penis they immediately say no anal ( that is hilarious to me, so I let them balk at the deal many times, so I am not an asshole). No, resorts are not the same. If you're going to DR for women, dump the resort and go to Sosua.
The price for an hour would go from around 1000 to 1500 pesos, but you could have the chica for 2500 for the whole night.
As for the rest of your questions, yes, there are short time hotels there (of course) but I sugest you read this and other forums to get a feel about what you will find there, and if possible, hook up with a more experience monger. You'll have fun.
By the way, what's your first language?

2. There are short-time (3 hour) motels called "cabañas" which are specially designed for sexual encounters and are usually clean and comfortable. There are several of these just outside Puerto Plata. All taxi drivers will know them.

3. If you are going on holiday mainly to have sex with chicas you would do better to stay in a monger hotel like Field of Dreams. You would save on taxis and cabaña fees.

4. I wouldn't call the prostitutes in Sosúa particularly "nice". Of course, some are, but I have found the chicas in Puerto Plata to be generally nicer and also cheaper. I rarely pay more than 1500 for TLN (all night). However Sosúa is easier for a beginner as the chicas will find you. In Puerto Plata you have to find them.

5. Are you committed to staying in a resort? Perhaps you can only get to the DR economically with a flight + hotel package? In that case you will have to go the taxi + cabaña route.

6. Where are you staying in Puerto Plata? If you are staying in Playa Dorada then I recommend you to walk across the road to Field of Dreams for a drink at the bar. You can meet chicas there and talk to other guys. Quickest way to learn about mongering in the DR.

Some are butt ass ugly and some are "papi chulo". This all contributes to the experience. All you should ever expect is an experience that is "believable". For me, the fact they'll even be in the room with me naked is a plus!

If you are staying in an all-inclusive in Puerto Plata, its very probably you are talking about Playa Dorada. No chicas permitted in the rooms.
You can find cabanas (short-stay hotels) on the west side of Costambar, which west of puerto plata, - but why bother?
When you are more familiar with the DR and this area, try it then.

I suggest for a better vacation, stay at Field of Dreams.

Just across the road from Playa Dorada, rooms only $40 US, VERY chica friendly. Its the same distance to Sosua by taxi and the manager, Billy will be able to inform you about mongering in the area.

If you pay for gas and buy him a couple of drinks, he'll take you around Puerto Plata and Sosua, to show you ALL the places where chicas can be found.
If you want other activities, he can set you up with horseback riding, all the stuff the all-inclusives provide PLUS chicas.

If you can, I highly recommend you drop the all-inclusive and check out Field of Dreams.

Most all inclusives hotels are not chica friendly, some will allow you to buy a day pass for a chica (which means the chica can enter the all inclusive hotel from 10am to around 5pm, prices vary but are usually between, 30-50 dollars). If you want to bring a chica to your room in all inclusive hotel, some all inclusives will allow this, but they may charge you over 60 dollars for the chica to stay overnight. If a hotel does not like the chica they may not let here in, no matter what you are willing to pay. Some all inclusives may not like the look of a particular chica and they can deny your chica entry even if you are willing to pay.

There are two all inclusive resort complexes in Puerto Plata that are about a thirty minute car ride from Sosua: Playa Dorada and Costa Dorada. These two complexes are located adjacent to one another. Costa Dorada has two all inclusive hotels, the Oasis Marian and the Iberostar. There are no working girls in Costa Dorada.

Playa Dorada has at least six all inclusive hotels. Playa Dorada has a few small bars where you might be able to find working girls.

Further away from Sosua on the other side of Puerto Plata are the RIU all inclusive hotels. If you choose the RIU hotels, you would be about an hour from Sosua.

I only know Crystals bar in Puerto Plata, which is near the beginning of the Malecon, about 8 minutes away from Playa Dorada complex. I visited Crystals twice. Some cuties, but the prices I have read are 100-150 dollars.

If you really want to stay in an all inclusive hotel, Sosua has several. The least expensive of the all inclusive hotels in sosua is the casa marina hotel, which is located about three blocks from the action in Sosua. Sosua Bay Hotel and Victorian House are two other slightly more expensive all inclusive hotels located close to the action in Sosua. I believe Sosua by the Sea Hotel also offers a meal plan.

Prices vary for the chicas, from what I have read from the recent posts from Sosua, the better looking chicas are charging 2,500 pesos and up.

For anyone thinking about doing a package deal to Sosua (or anywhere in the Dom Rep), Orbitz has a coupon code that will take 200 dollars of a five night package deal. The coupon expires April 30, 2009. I did a search for one person, roundtrip air from New York and hotel for May 2009, and with the coupon I got a price of $476 for 5 nights at casa marina hotel (all inclusive) with roundtrip air on Jet Blue. The flights on Jet Blue were direct and appears Jet Blue now has a flight on Fridays that leave New York at 6am and arrives in Puerto Plata around 9 30am.

Casa Marina hotel is not chica friendly per se. Some times they will allow you to bring in a chica, but the price you will the hotel for the chica to stay overnight will not be cheap. In Sosua there is the Hotel Calypso, which is a short term hotel, price about 500 pesos (I used the Calypso years ago and found it to be nasty, another member stayed there recently and said it was clean). You could always rent a basic room at Rocky's or Hotel Orchidee, if you stay at an all inclusive, and use the basic room at Rocky's or Hotel Orchidee for your sexual adventures. I am not sure what the current rates for basic rooms at Rocky's or hotel orchidee, but they are not expensive and both of these places are close to the action.

If you have a particular all inclusive hotel in mind, please tell us and other members can give you recommendations.

Car rentals are about 40 dollars a day, more for larger cars.

But I am guessing jcrider comes from a European country with no scheduled flights to the DR. From the UK, where I live, it is only possible to get to the DR economically by finding a spare seat on a charter flight for all-inclusive holiday-makers. Maybe the OP can only manage to holiday in the DR in an all-inclusive? A little more information from him would enable us to help him more:

Which hotel?

For how long?

Is he alone or with friends?

Does he speak any Spanish?

Is he coming mainly to fuck girls or is that just a sideline to a "regular" "sea and sand" vacation?

All these things would affect our advice to him.

Obviously if you take a chica out of a puta bar in POP you might well negotiate her down to 1500 but then there will be salida on top. I just collect celular numbers of bar girls so I can contact them direct. One place to look is along the Malecon, especially the new little casitas towards the Long Beach End. Or walk around the barrios where tourists don't go, trying not to dress and look like a tourist. The chicas may be reluctant to go with you in front of their friends and neighbours but take their celular numbers for later. They will also be reluctant to commit to TLN up front if they don't know you but if you get on well together they may stay or agree to come back another night. These girls won't look sophisticated and sexily dressed like putas from Cristal or El Bohen but I honestly prefer them more "natural".

Another pick-up place for semi-putas (which is what I am talking about) are dance-halls but you need enough Spanish and local awareness to realise which girls are available (with or without chulos) and which are with novios, or you might be coming home from your holiday in a box.

Of course I do spend more money on transport, drinks, breakfast, and sometimes supper for the chicas which puts total outlay way over 1500 but I enjoy hanging and eating with them and would spend the same whether the chica cost 1500 or 3000.
