It's currently called the Canciones del mar. But the name will be changed to Del Rey Beach Hotel. It's only 14 rooms, so I don't think they'll have too much trouble filling it with package deals with their San Jose location. But I'm not ready to think they'll bump off the Cocal any time soon.

The destination you take is of personal preference. For all you naysayers who have never visited Costa Rica and have written it off, I say to you, you are making a big mistake. There is no shortage of beautiful, exotic chicas down here in TicaLandia. The beach of Jaco has 200-300 women every Wednesday-Saturday night. Many +9's. Why do you think the hottest Domincan women come here to make money. San Jose on any given night has 300-400 women to choose from. Such a diversity not seen in a lot of cities. Tica's, Nica's Panamanian, Colombian and Dominican women are all here to partake of extra curricular activities.
The cost of p4p is great when you look at the value. $30-$100 is norm. All your fantasies can come true. Hotel rooms from $49-$99 a night. $2 long neck good quality beer. $4 well drinks. More direct flights than the D. R. From cities in the USA and Canada like Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Washington D. C, Newark, N. Y. City, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, L. A. , Toronto and Soon to be Chicago. More Airlines as well.
When I hear monger compare Costa Rica to another country based on price and the quality / beauty of the women it's always Colombia and not the D. R.
So, don't sell Costa Rica Short. It's still one of the top sex tourist countries in the world. Don't knock them until you've tried them.

I guess a lot of guys are still comparing direct prices between say San Jose and Sosua. For me, the only reason I would come to Jaco is to dive a bit. Otherwise I would stay in San Jose if I were to come back to CR someday. We all already know that the beach in Jaco stinks so it's got to be other attributes that would have to make it worthwhile to venture out of San Jose.
Just got back from another successful trip to Jaco. Stayed at the Posada Jaco and I have to say, it was well worth the money. $60 per night for a good size suite with kitchen. 1 minute walk to the beach so it is close to everything. All is within a short walking distance, including but not limited to the Monkey Bar and Cocal. Clean rooms, hot water showers, A. C. Blew cold and the pool with it's own private bar, the water's temperature was just right. Only six rooms so space is limited. Chica friendly. Here's an idea. I can put together for 6.12 guys (12 if you want to split a room) a package that includes 4 days and 3 nights or longer. Transport to and from SJO to Jaco. 3 night lodging. 2 days fishing, private cook to grill your catch by the pool with a private swim up bar and pool party for your stay, all at a low low price. Imagine, you have the whole hotel to yourself, with you special lady by the pool. Low Low rate package now through Dec. 20th. Here's some pics. Pm me if anyone is interested.

San Jose has the daytime MP's to hit. Jaco has more activities other than mongering like ATV tours, Zip lining, white water rafting and fishing. Both places are unique and has a lot to offer. Have fun on your trip.

Originally I was going to do the whole vacation ins SJ, but when I started looking into all the activities I wanted to do and realized they were all going to charge me hundreds for transport back and forth I thought why not just do half the trip in Jaco and knock out all my activites during the day and knock down the chicas at night. Unfortunetly I don't have any buddies that are up for the trip at the moment and I'm long overdue for a vacation. So if anyone is looking to go around that time we could meet up and bar hop togethor. This is my first time is CR.

When I was in DR (in Santo Domingo Area not Sosua) I was paying btwn $60-$100. So is CR that much more expensive relative to what I was paying in DR? Like I could understand if someone was in the Sosua area (I've never been) paying lets say $50ish and then going to CR and the prices are around $100 so basically double, then yes big jump. But if I was paying $70-100 anyways in DR I won't be too shocked with $80-100. Now if it were like $120+ then yeah I might be like wow.
