Folks,

I spent 4 beautifull days in Bucharest. Used the http://www.anuntul.ro/MAP1.html (anuntul telefonic) as basis for contacts. No problem at all. With some English and French you will be able to figure out the basics. Than you phone the girl/lady and ask if she speaks english/french. About 75% do speak English and the rest is up for your negotiation. Found some real terrific ladies and had super moments for low price (app 20EUR or less for 1 hour)

Also visited Herastrau disco club one evening/night. This is a must-visit place for all Bucharest visitors. The looks of the girls there is awesome and what a collection of beauties. They range form nice to stunning, and all different forms, shapes and ages. Some pretty young, some older chicks. Only inconvenience is that most of them are pimped and controlled. Also their attitude is not what you could find in places such as Tallin, Riga or Helsinki. Attitude here is much more professional and for money. Also, in 80% of cases, if you arrange for a whole-nighter, after one or two sessions they will come with and excuse of mother sick, they are sick, friend calls, etc. So avoid all-nighters.

During stay I used the Ibis hotel close to North trainstation. Very clean hotel and no problems with security to bring girls upstairs (tipping not even needed). Only problem is that environment is not the nicest one after dark.

The disco Herestrau seems famous but sounds like a rip off. Could be worth a visit though.

Can you or other guys let me know if Bucharest bars are busy mid week.
I am planning my trip and don't know if I should visit Sofia mid week and then Bucharest over the weekend, or vice versa.

Disco Herastrau is mostly for pro, and it is packed with pimps and thieves. Also the place for rich Romanian guys to show off their cars, cell phones, necklace, girlfriends etc. Not really a place to find a non pro.

You should search for student campus. Ask the cab driver for disco in REGIE, or GROZAVESTI campus. These are packed with students, not so rich girls, pretty and that would consider you invitation to have a drink in a nice bar afterwards.

A very nice , free magazine called 7 Seri (Seven nights) can be picked up from almost anywhere - try McDonald's. Also on the web at http://www.sapteseri.ro/. It's an excellent guide of all the restaurants, movies, concerts, clubs and discos in the city. The web is also in English.

One club I recommend is Club A:

Club A... and you become someone else. The trendiest student club in Bucharest.

Ask her to come to the club/bar and she will not say no. (make sure she understands you reasonably pay for her drinks - not too expensive)

An Internet Cafe (yes, the place with computers and stuff -see "7 Seri" for addresses) is a nice place to pick up girls, as they are there to email/chat with "rich" men they met on the internet from US, West Europe etc. Sit next to her, pretend you need her help to get into your email/ bank account etc, maybe you show her a credit card with high balance (she doesn't know it's debt...) :))) kidding.

I visited romania for 30 days and want to give you some information back. In Bucharest I used a intermediare men, his name was costel. He drived with me in the city to look at girls .. price starts with 2 Mio Lei (=60 Euro) for 3 hours. Back from Bucharest...
... all you've heard about "go to see Herestrau" - well- i thought maybe have a look but them charged me 500000 ROL for almost nothing (entrance and drink..); the girls were more or less pretty but asked for $100 for short time. Not a good place.
I've tried two escort services: the first (J...) was a little bit strange and i found out the id of the girl was faked so she might have been less than the 19 years she showed me, a little bit unexperienced, EUR 100 for 3 hours.
The second (26y, not very tall; she knows this forum and didn't want to be shown here) did a good job and was very kind and we spent more than one night together).
Club A might be o.k for younger people but it was almost empty at 10 pm, but later very crowded. Opposite and beside Bucharest Casino (Interconti) you might find some street-action and pimps; a little bit down the street there were boys for boys (not my business). Tried to call other agencys but some didn't speak English (like me) and others weren't on duty that weekend.

BTW:
as remarked before, there's a strong mafia scenne there and they ought to check this forum, so boys be honest and think about the privacy of the nice girls you might find in Romania. Think about that (like drakes said): the girls are ruled bypimps and may be by policemen and they have sex with you for money and sex with everybody else for free and unprotected...

Anyway i haven't been to Buch since 2001. But from my experience.. don't bother with Club A unless you are under 30. It is mainly a college joint. I was in my mid 20's when i went there. I am a decent looking guy, no brad pitt. but there are nice college girls to be had there for free. maybe not the first night but if you spend a day or 2 with them, it will lead somewhere. if you don't have the time then don't go there. granted this was abt 2 years ago, but i never saw working girls there. Also, in Club A and places like it, Romanians seem to go out in big groups. Don't ignore the male friends of the girl you like. If her guy friends approve of you it is all a bonus. I have been in these big groups and the guys try to set me up with the girls. But then again this is a college place, very laid back and social. Never go to Club A b4 12:30 am... i went there with RO groups and that was the earliest we ever went.

If you are over 30 try other places, you'll have better luck and feel more comfortable.
