But when a guy is wearing an untucked polo short with a big "B" on the chest that regularly retails at $250, it's like broadcasting a message that says, "I have more money than brains and I don't give a shit what anyone thinks".
"More Money than Brains" - the ultimate aphrodisiac!
We should trademark that as a brand and sell it as watches, shoes and cars!
I operate at a certain disadvantage because I am name-brand averse.
My suits are all made by a quality Montreal bespoke tailor and none of my clothing bears any recognizable international brand, except of course my watch, which is a rugged rather than prestigious brand.
So my question is - do the girls know quality or only brand names?
I can buy a branded shirt or two if it will make an impression.
And I have often thought of buying a faux Rolex specifically for this purpose - flashing at dyevs in bars. Or can they see through a knock-off?
The biggest compliment a girl can make you is calling you a „real man“, it is what Slavic girls are groomed to be attracted to.
Defining “real man” is a bit of a challenge and of course it does leave something up to the interpretation and tastes of the individual female. Thankfully.
Certain factors always get mentioned though:
• purpose in life
• drive
• ability to make and stick to decisions
• success
• skills
Of the above listed points, in a brief encounter with a female (for example at a club) you’ll only have the opportunity to express some of the above, depending on situation.
One of the ways to express success is through clothing. It is also a way to indicate that you respect yourself enough to care how you look. Overdoing it will get you labelled a girly boy though, which is almost as bad as being a slob.
Generally, I absolutely agree with the recent posts. Dressing well will do a lot to making a good first impression, and most often that is the only chance you will get. If you know girls through other means, like work for example, and you see them more often, you’ll have more opportunity to show them your other qualities and fashion sense takes a less-important role, to the point of being label-obsessed being a negative (girlish) quality.
Girls are girls however, and your people skills… especially communication etc., become more important and more decisive depending on how much time you’ll have to speak and communicate with them. Dressing well and the initial impression it makes might just buy you that precious time you need.

They sure know quality, without a doubt.
The best brands are the brands that keep it discreet, and girls undoudtedly know it. Nowadays, the only people who enjoy covering themselves head-to-toe in a brand's initials are the "wannabe rich" local flatheads and the italian or turk sex-hungry tourists(as in Chisinau). A simple black Zegna shirt with absolutely no monogramm on it will always be more chic than any grotesquely logoed D&G or Armani stuff.

Oh well .. still trolling threads where you have absolutely nothing to contribute ? ...a speciality of yours obviously ...no wonder why you are under a full moderated mode.
Anyway your usual wear in Thailand or Phom Penh nasty brothels - surely leather sandals with white socks, long shorts and loose-fitting tee-shirt - will not do it in FSU. Sorry.

Yes, this is the fulcrum in female mindset: the "real man". Above all, about beautiful and aggressive women.
However, we know there are few real men as many as few real women in the world: 95% men are aged children, 95% women are mala fide animals.
I need to add another quality of a real man with Eastern women: a real man who knows how to make fun his own women as much as a bad man who is always ready to leave them for other women.
This is about beautiful and aggressive women.
For all the rest of "normal" appearance (pretty ugly) women, any kind of man is good just for the purpose to get a family (not for love sure). This is the reason for what I never get married: real love is with no marriage.
Instead about prostitutes, I have to remind what I see in Italy with young Slavic prostitutes: a customer could be the oldest and dirtiest man in the world, they are always ready to swallow customer's cum for 20/30 euros (and sometimes his [CodeWord140] too). With no mind about dress and communication!
I am sure it is the same in all over the world. Therefore I am often shocked when men have a long travel to get some silly pussy fuckings: prostitutes work to do the filthiest things in human mind, otherwise they are not called "prostitutes"!

I wouldn't want to have sex with an Asian hooker, because I heard most Asian women like white guys so what is the point of paying? I can understand with Russian women why.
I do plan on eventually mongering overseas Russia and Ukraine, are top destinations for me. But if someone wants to monger in Asia then ok but you didn't need to say what you did.
Why do people say Say "dude" before trying to say something serious? Zingadong got the reply he asked for, but quiet on the Eastern front please, you've gone and woken Acolonizer! and you know what that means ) Zingadork's silly reply wasn't even worthy of comment. The greatest show of power is in restraint. Speaking of which its about time Moscow had indoor Tochka's like St Petersburg?

So my question is - do the girls know quality or only brand names?...........Or can they see through a knock-off?
GT, Hell of a question. Off the cuff I would say that most of the girls that any of us mongers stand a chance with recognize the brand rather than the quality. They have learned to recognize brands as an indicator of wealth. I think most of urban Russia is still going through some degree of development of a middle class. They have only been engaged in western style capitalism for less than 20 years so only the youngest teens have grown up with true consumer level quality goods. Of course, the Soviet Elite had access to foreign quality consumer goods, but the female children of late Soviet Elitny are probably married to oligarchs, running their own businesses, or occupying roles in Russian society that look down their noses at most of us.
So, if you are decked out in faux fashion to attract a comely young devushka, chances are she will not know the difference. Having said that, there is a certain real estate broker I know (in the biblical sense) who is in her late 30's and has impeccable taste in terms of quality and style. Mind you, her father was a member of the communist party and held a fairly respectable post in the academy of sciences....... so I guess I made my own point.
Just as an aside - I am back in Dubai today after a very quick and unscheduled side trip to Russia. One night in Tyumen (will report later in the proper spot) and the weekend in Moscow. There has been a certain amount written about Russian and other CIS girls who "work" in Dubai and frequent such bars as Rattlesnake and the Mariner's Lounge in the Seaview. After being Dubai for a week, taking a side trip to Russia and now being back in Dubai, I can tell you without hesitation that the CIS girls in Dubai are decidedly the "B - Team". No comparison. IMHO.

Couldn't agree more. My first experience of CIS girls was in Dubai, and for a few years there they were my only choice when there. I also think the quality of the CIS girls has declined in the Emirates over the last few years.
The girls I've met over the past few years in Russia itself have been twice as good as those I met regularly in Dubai. In general, those I meet in Russia are alot younger than those in the UAE, and seem less jaded...if that's the right way to describe it...
Cheers

Would be really interesting to hear about Tyumen. From what I noticed on my favorite dating site (which is nor mamba and nor LL :)), the place seems to be swarming with truly hot girls. Furthermore, my fav contact there sent me pics of the city, and it seems to be rather pleasant (by russian standarts), with many historic buildings.
Couldn't settle if Tyumen was in Ural or Siberia though.
