Thanks Greg and Red Kilt.

Where is Jonquera exactly located?
I know where you mean. Have been there also. It's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. In Robinson's I go directly to my hotel room without going outside. In Raintree Mall the guards are there...but once you leave and are on the street, anything can happen. Anyways, ATMs are probably the worst, given the charge by my USA bank to exchange $$$. Have fun, don't sweat the small stuff.

Perhaps you should read through the posts....seek and you will find.
Here is a link to one of my earlier posts that has the information you desire

RedKilt,
They should impress YOU, not the other way around. Do not bring the depraved western enslaved mentality of the "civilized man" to the Philippines.
You are a man with cash - you are a king. Be nice and gentle but do not fall back to slavery under the pussy.
This is way too complicated and a silly thing to contemplate. G/f 2 must be hot for you to want to be tied up with someone like her who is obviously very jealous and possessive.
Just don't tell her when you are arriving. Hit town, do what you want with GF1, and then contact GF 2 and tell her where you are and that you're ready to meet. My bet is she will still turn up.
But my bet is that she will find out about GF 1 anyway.
Take GL's advice. Be upfront and if G/f 2 doesn't like it, then you always have GF 1 anyway
Find it on Google Map. It is easy.
I've been planning my first trip to the Philippines for so many years now it's ridiculous, but today that has all changed. I booked my flight! I'll be arriving in Manila middle June and staying until middle August. As in my last thread, I'm planning on staying in Manila for 3 or 4 days and then heading up to Angeles City for another 3 or 4 days and then flying down to Cebu for the remainder of my time.
The main thing I am concerned about is getting a good rate on comfortable and safe hotel/apartment/condo/B&B at a monthly rate - budget is MAX monthly rate $37k peso. I've been reading TripAdvisor.com and some other forums but am still uncertain quite what to do. Seems to me I might just find a hotel to stay in and be done with it, but what hotel?
I'll be needing aircon, a fridge, internet access and hot water.
I've been reading that it's a good idea to be close to mango Square. Thoughts on this? So far I'm thinking that staying in Cebu City is the thing to do but I'd love to hear others ideas.
Very excited to FINALLY get to the PI.

I am an intelligent and well-educated guy and I tried to be as civilized as I can without being enslaved.
I am a man with cash - I am a king, but I am also nice and gentle too, which is why I gave Python his advice.
In my world, my motto is "Nobody must get hurt, including me".
Seems to work well enough most times.

Can you get your PM function working as would be easier
Mango has cheap places but the wifi / internet can be poor so tread carefully. Were some FRs on apartments which maybe a better bet for you given the length of stay
I'm thinking Manonsan wants to say is that it's easy to find if you look at GM and easy to find your answer if you RTFF. To say that Juanquerra is easy, is complicated.

Hey Roger,
Please post your tips on the forum rather than the PM to GG if you dont need to be confidential. I want to know about the best apartments too.

There are a plethora of clean, safe and reasonable hotels and pension houses available in Cebu city so no need to worry.
Yes for the first time visitor, I would recommend something near Mango Square or up in Lahug. Those areas are very safe and easy walk to the restos, bars, shopping, laundry, banks, etc. Centrally located and a fifteen minute cab ride to Ayala mall and most anywhere else.
There is a nice apartment I know of near Ayala for 28,000 php but you can do better spending 25,000 php or less with more amenities and services at a hotel or pension house.

I definitely want something private and comfortable. 25k P would be great. I'm wondering if I should just get to Cebu and go looking. Still, if anyone knows a real estate agent, that would be great.
Sorry about the PM system. Not sure if I'll set that up or not.
Thanks for the info!

Mattrick,
Is that 25,000 or 28,000 per month?
Thanks.
