Patpong has more than slippery ping pong balls...
patpong is pretty much a tourist trap
Yes, this is true to some extent. But there is a variety of options for someone with more than a one track mind (i.e., look at dancers, bar fine, go ST, repeat...)
A monger can still have a good time there. Beer bars, music clubs, BJ bars, good food, regular bars, etc.
Many of the go-go dancers are friendly and pretty. There's also are a lot of pretty FL girls, and just off work go-go girls, late night at Twilo Club and a few other places. Just have your ladyboy radar up.
One night, I was with my GF and her friends in Twilo, including a ladyboy named Som. At one point my GF said, "look, Som has customer." There was Som in full lip lock with a big studly guy up by the bandstand. A few minutes later I saw the guy make a beeline for the street wiping his lips with a sheepish look on his face. Pretty funny, really, so...watch out!
Did you read my whole post?
If a girl says yes to the service requested, what's the problem?
Where do you get the notion that guys are forcing girls to do things against their will?
I think most guys on this board understand that "yes" means "yes" and "no" means "no".
I'm not sure what your point is.
My main point is that (sorry to be so graphic) there are girls who are being abused anally to the point that they are having to go to the doctor with internal bleeding.
Anal sex is not pleasing to MOST girls. IT HURTS THEM.
MANY (not all, ok?) are doing it for the money, ONLY.
If there were guys who got off on punching a girl in the face until bloody, there would be girls who would SAY YES, if it meant being able to support their family.
The Thai word for it is ความ อดทน. Ot Ton. They are thinking about their baby to get them through the pain. Tolerance ; Forbearance ; Patience.
I find it hard to understand how one can take pleasure in hurting another human being.
AND, my post was not meant to make those who like anal sex feel guilty about it. REALLY! I am sure there are girls who like it. But just because they say YES (as you posted) doesn't mean they like it.
I have found that the girls in BKK can please me in a million ways that doesn't hurt them.
Updated Suvaranabhumi Airport Transport Info
Couldn't add this to the Suvarnabhumi threat (it was closed).
These are the transport options I take. All except the public bus.
Suvarnabhumi Airport Transportation Fact Sheet
Leaving the Airport
Taxi:
Taxi counter at now at level 1.
There is a 50 Baht surcharge, and you must pay expressway toll when applicable.
To avoid the 50 Baht surcharge, get a taxi from the departure level. Contrary to other posts, you were always able to get the taxi from the departure level. The depature floor splits into 2 (one for normal traffic and the other for taxis). Get the taxi when it drops off its customer.
Rail:
The skytrain is open, somewhat. It is on level B1. It is currently running test on a limited basis (in the morning and evening). There is no fee for these test runs. It is supposed to open on August 23. Not sure what the price will be.
Airport Express Bus:
Office is on level 1. There are 4 routes. Cost is 150 Baht. Last bus leaves between 11:30 PM - 12 AM.
To Pattaya by Air-con bus:
There's a direct service to Pattaya (B124 pp) and Jomtiem. The office is on level 1 next to the Airport Express office. Bus leaves every 2 hours; the last bus leaves at 9 PM. The bus stops at north, central and south Pattaya. And then it goes to Jomtiem.
At the Pattaya drop off, you are still couple of kilometers away from the main area (beach road and 2nd road). To get there, cross very busy Sukhumvit Road and grab a songthaew (10 baht bus) into town. Or there will be tuk-tuks and moto-bikes that will try to gouge you.
Another option to Pattaya is Bell travel with an A/C bus:
One level 1, you will see a small sign (across diagonally from the Airport Express office). Since Bell's depature times are staggered, they will find you after the other bus leaves. Cost is slightly more. The bus will stop at the Pattaya bus station, and then a mini-bus will take you to your hotel.
Other thoughts:
1) If you take the taxi into town at official taxi stand, do not pay their rip-off price when they try to gouge you and ask you for 400 or 500 baht. 99% of the taxi drivers will attempt to screw you because a lot of tourists will pay. Say "meter". If they don't immediately turn on the meter, then say "stop, I will get off". This has always worked. They never will refuse the fair (probably can't).
2) The taxi cost to Pattaya at the official taxi stand will be 1500 baht; this includes the 50 baht surcharge and tollway charges. You can go to the departure level and negotiate a price. A private car offered 1000 baht with tollway included. I was paranoid; I took a meter taxi; negotiated 1200 baht with the tollway included; I probably paid too much since he said yes too fast. My guess is that I could have gotten 1000 baht for a meter taxi. You can arrange a taxi pick-up from a Pattaya travel agent for 1200 baht.
