Two very good coach services from SD to Sosua, I used Metro on Saturday, the other is Caribe tours. Its very easy & comfortable and the ticket was 320pesos, caribe tours is cheaper. The Metro stop is a few minutes walk to the lively part of Sosua with the popular hotels. I'm staying in New Garden Hotel.
You and me have the same taste in chicas buddy, but from my observation so far there are many more Haitians then lighter skin chicas here, but you do get gals coming down from Santiago where there are supposedly more lighter skinned chicas. I will make a visit to Santiago soon. When are you planning on taking a grip to Sosua?
Gotta go now, but PM me if you need more info.
I am flying into Santa D and was going Boca C but someone told me it is skanky and not the prime stuff. What are my options at 4pm getting from SD to Sousa by bus. Who, When where how much? I can rent a car and drive like I do in Nica with pros and cons like risk and parking but I do well. Most importantly I assume the chica prices are similar from BC to Sousa or am I wrong. I prefer lighter skinned are there less Haitans and more spanish lighter babes in Sousa? So $40 on up for a hour what about if you wanted something 18-20 petitie and prime how much on average? What about for the day or half day ect. Any comments. Is it alot better than BC and if so how and why?
I don't mind driving, so I rent a car. If you don't mind driving, then rent a subcompact at the airport, I usually rent from Alamo, 200 dollars for 7 days, unlimited miles, my mastercard provides insurance, I do pay for the third party liability insurance (in case you hit a pedestrian, it costs 5 dollars per day and I get the tire and glass coverage for 3 dollars per day.)
You will be arriving at 4pm, not a great idea to start a long drive to the North at that hour. Probably better to rent a room in Santo Domingo for the night. Hotel Palacio in the colonial zone is chica friendly, nice rooms, 100 dollars a night. Maison Gatreux is a cheaper small hotel, 42 dollars per night, it is near the V Centenario hotel just off the malecon. GBP is probably the best deal in Santo Domingo, in house 1500 pesos for an hour, it closes around 11, depending on the day of the week. You can visit the other clubs, baby dolls, foxys, girls house, sky house, prices vary but usually start at 2500 pesos and go up to 3500 pesos. All shapes, sizes and colors of chicas. Light skin and dark skin.
On your second day you can drive north. You can leave Santo Domingo early and drive in the daytime. It is really not fun driving at night in the Dominican Republic, especially if you don't know the roads. If you drive, always have a 100 peso bill with you. Going from Santo Domingo back to the airport (and to boca chica) there is a toll (about 40 pesos), they supposedly will not give you change if you present a large denomination bill. There is also a toll when heading out of Santo Domingo towards Santiago and the North Coast.
To get to Sosua from Santo Domingo, you would head towards Santiago first. From the Malecon you would take any large street that goes north like Maximo Gomez and then make a left on Kennedy which will turn into Autopista Duarte and just go straight, this road will turn into the highway that will take you to Santiago. From Santiago just follow the signs for Puerto Plata or ask people for the direction of Puerto Plata, it is fairly easy. Once you get into Puerto Plata just stay on the newly paved main road. At the end of this road is a roundabout, just go towards the right, you will see the Brugal factory on your left and just go straight on this road for about 35-40 minutes and you will be in Sosua. Sosua has two parts. The first part of Sosua that you will encounter is Charamicos. This where many locals live, you will go past Charamicos and see a large green section with trees and plants on your left, that is where playa sosua is located. You will come to a traffic light and after the traffic light you will see a playero supermarket on the right and then at the next traffic light you will see a texaco gas station, make a left at the Texaco gas station and the next street is I believe called Pedro Clisante, you are now in the heart of the mongering scene in Sosua. If you drive straight through the next intersection, Rockys will be on your right and further up on this same road is New Garden hotel on the right.
Hotel Palacio in Santo Domingo has an indoor parking garage. Maison Gatreux in Santo Domingo always has a guard who sits on the patio in front of the hotel. I never had a problem with anyone messing with my rental car while it was parked in the street in Santo Domingo. I never had a problem with my car while it was parked in the streets of Sosua.
If you decide to take a bus to the North Coast, you can use Caribe Tours or Metro. The last bus on Metro going to Santiago is 7 or 8pm. Not sure when the last bus leaves for Sosua. Caribe Tours has their schedule posted on the internet.
Sosua has a mix of light skinned and dark skinned chicas. Usually more light skinned chicas can be found in Santiago, but the mongering scene in Santiago is not the easiest.
Prices for chicas varies.

Many years ago it was nothing special, it may be possible to find an attractive light skinned chica in Boca Chica, but I believe your odds are better in Sosua. In Sosua you can find chicas who come in from other towns and cities to make a few bucks.
If you are interested in daytime action, I would suggest you bring a cellular phone with you and get it activated in the dom rep (or buy a celular in dom rep). There is a codetel office on the second floor of the airport in santo domingo. Activation costs about 20 dollars and thereafter you buy cards to add minutes.
If your spanish is good and you can convince some chicas that you are a long term catch, that will affect the price that you can negotiate. Having a phone is almost essential for setting up daytime action.
Rental car with insurance, 200 dollars for 7 days.
Hey Jaosousa, where do you rent your cars from? Juan Dolio is nice with the quiet beaches. I like hanging there as well. Do you bring your own or is there good spot or two to find talent

I have had some road blocks in Nica and Costa R but always got what I wanted with very little problem. Someone told me most DR girls don't like Greek or if they agree they scream and say it hurts is this true. What about hearing that alot of them do it for drug money? How is the legal issue in the DR with Druggas like weed and C. In Central American you are fine if you stay in your hotel. I would assume the girls could make these things available or do you need to find your own? A relaxing Dube is always a nice tension breaker.

i don't want any trouble.
I'm writing this with about 3 days to go and not expecting much to change.
For my first visit to Dr I will have to say it was pleasant . I wasn't looking to be blown away by the women and I wasn't .
Went to PP , Carberte and some othet small towns hours outside the city.
Besides the last 4 days of rain had perfect weather .
laughed at the scammers , especially francis the mototaxi guy , who tells everyone he looks like Chris Rock, (he doesn.t)
he got me a free sim card , rented and car and took me around for 2 days for about 2000 peso's with me buying the food, introduced me to local women in the villages. spent the day with a family visiting there relatives,. Very social people who invited me into their homes offered me food and asked for nothing.
Francis on the other hand tried to milk me and I had to fire him , but before I let him go , reminded him , he could had made in 6 or 7 days more money then he could make in a week , but he got greedy. of course he won't learn .
The women I saw and met , yes some were beautiful , but what is up with the belly pouch, even the skinny ones got them .Classico or Passions wasn't my thing, great comedy hour though.
After 3 weeks my conclusion is that DR women aren't my thing , I got away from the bars , saw the country , loved the beaches but the women??
I rate them far behind Brazil and Colombia and Thailand for sheer beauty and presense, but ahead of Jamicaii and Tahatii, I',m not basing this on sexual performance , but my likes and chemistry with the woman .As I stated before in my post their just too close in looks and behavior to black women for my taste .Besides in my 3 weeks I only went with 4 women .
It was a cheap trip compared to Brazil and Colombia , but I picked Dr becasue it was a short trip compared to Thailand and wanted to try a new country.
But will go back to Colombia for my short trips next time.
Spanish lessons worked wonders, glad that I took them, spent days in my apartment with a 20 year old who spoke zero english, nice country girl who I spent time with her family , so almost everyday she would spend the day hanging out with me in the apartment , told me she was a virgin , I didn't want to find out if it was true or not , but good company who wasn't a service girl looking for money.
So it was a very relaxing and good trip for me. Will I be back ?
Probably not , I'm looking for a country I can do 6 months in when I retire and Dr doesn't quite fit the bill.
But no regrets in coming . Stayed at the El Neptuno , great place , quiet and close to markets and ATM's great choice for the first time person who wants to go the action but doesn't want it around them all the time ,

NOWRATH
In hindsight, to expand your choice of chicas, especially since you were in Dom Rep for an extended trip, you could have tried to meet some other Dominican chicas online. You could have joined the international version of Match.com or Dominican cupid. Especially when a guy is in the Dominican Republic for an extended trip, it can be very easy to hook up with chicas that you meet online.
I have a met of bunch of chicas from Colombia using the international version of Match.com (as well as dominican chicas). No doubt that there are some fine chicas in Colombia.
So far in my recent life I have been hooked on the Dominican chicas. Usually the sex is very good. There is mix of different types, white dominicanas, morenas, triguenas, dark skinned. The good ones are not ball breakers and don't pester me for money. I am generous with the ones I like, but nothing crazy.
You have to go with what you like. Each guy is different and has his own personal preferences. My father kids me about liking third world chicas. My father prefers blondes with blue eyes. I personally prefer chicas with a little bit of spice in their blood.

NOWRATH
I can understand where you're coming from. I had big expectations for Sosua, but they've not been met. My last night in Santo domingo I went to La Parada, took a nice looking girl home with me (the only pretty one there); once in my place, heard nothing but complaints and requests for more money before doing anything. I had already paid the 3K upfront to La Parada and she wanted another 1K to do things she said she would. I got pretty pissed off and sent her packing with no more cash.
Sorry, back to Sosua. I popped in to La Passions today, hoping to meet Keyla who was on their website. Unfortunately she's left. All those remaining had big bellies, pretty disappointing line up. Spoke to 1 who was big but she had a cute face. Caught sight of her hands and she had some pretty disgusting scabs on them, I asked what they were, she said she burnt herself cooking, hmmmmm right!
Saw a fairly cute chica in the street today, stopped her and discussed business, she said shes wants 2k for 2 hours. I said, what about for 1 hour, she still wanted 2k. Looked at her close up and her skin wasn't so good close up, she had some zits. From her general mannerisms, and lack of enthusiasm I made a judgement that she probably would not be the best choice. Decided to pass. There are many on the main red light area, many are fat around the waste. Some of these Haiti girls are like leeches.
Just overheard a conversation from some mongers next door about a girl who was trying to hide the fact she has herpes and wanted to keep the lights switched off. Needless to say, in a place like this you don't take any risks.
I stay at the New Garden hotel, walls are thin I can hear the conversation of people outside by the pool and next door like its in my own room. Also since I've come, and in the last few days I have to say I have not seen even 1 good looking chica hanging around here. If I stay in Sosua longer, I'll probably move to a cheaper hotel or studio. Theres nothing wrong with the hotel, its just a little expensive for the time of year. For roughly same price you can rent a 1 bed apartment inside a really nice condominium which is visitor friendly, or a studio for less. The good thing is that after a few days if you havnt taken any of the chicas here at NGH they stop trying to call you over everytime they see you. I kind of like to come home to a bit of privacy, and realise now that I'd prefer not to have these girls hanging around outside my door, although it seemed like a good idea before.
Maybe its the season, or maybe its on a downward slope. Perhaps Chicas are getting greedy and have been spoilt too much by the extranjeros.
Anyway, mongering in DR may not be up to some peoples expectations, especially if you're used to stunners/gfe's like in Thailand, there's no comparison. I'd say in terms of quality and reliability its behind Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, S Africa and Dubai.
However I have no regrets coming since I've picked up a lot of Spanish which was my aim, and met a lot of interesting people. As a non-mongering off the beaten track holiday location, its an interesting experience and worth a visit, however you do always need to keep your wits about you, for your own safety and security. I will be doing more tourist stuff now and will go on some excursions, I've also found a local guide who seems pretty reliable so we will hit the nightlife of Santiago and PP too. I'll report back on these locations later.
Rental car with insurance, 200 dollars for 7 days.
Hey Jaosousa, where do you rent your cars from? Juan Dolio is nice with the quiet beaches. I like hanging there as well. Do you bring your own or is there good spot or two to find talent
My basic mastercard provides coverage for collision loss damage waiver, (cdlw), usually if you purchase this from the car rental company it is expensive. Some auto policies in the States will also cover cdlw. I use this coupon from bj's: http://www.bjsvacations.com/promotion/bjs/carrental/BJ_alamo.pdf.
I did a search recently on alamo.com, for 7 nights picking the car up in sdq airport and entered the id number and coupon code from the above link. If you do a search on google you can find various discount codes for most of the larger rental companies. Many codes will not work in Latin America, so look for ones that state that they will work in latin america.
I have rented at least 6 times from alamo and really have not had a problem. I have become friends with one chica who works at alamo and i usually get a free upgrade, I usually give her some small gift.
Make your reservations online and print out a copy of the reservation. For whatever reason people at car rental companies try to be cute sometimes and charge you more when you return the car. If you have the printed out reservation which has the price clearly stated, you can use it to correct any people who may try to overcharge you. I had that problem with Avis twice in Dom Rep and I never rented from them again. The only insurance I pay the rental car company is the for third party liability coverage and glass and tire coverage (one time my wingman used the car and some nutty chica threw a presidente bottle at the window, it didn't break, but since then, for 3 dollars a day I am covered. I blew out a tire on a Avis van I rented and they wanted to charge me over 200 dollars for a new tire.) Additionally if you hit a pedestrian, I have read stories where the police can lock you up if you don't have insurance, so for an extra 5 dollars a day, I have a little peace of mind. The total price with the two added insurance coverages for a subcompact (for alamo it is a chevrolet spark, really small car made in Korea) for 7 days came to 198 using the above coupon.
unless they want me to order food, find out where the banos are or ask for the check i would be worthless on a phone unless it was a camera phone to make gestures (kinding of course) are there not some putas hanging out in sousa in the afternoon in bars or cafes or at the beach? my hope is to find a decent one in a day or two after trying a few and then do some repeat business perhaps for a day trip to puerto plata and around. i feel safer with a rental car than missing a bus. besides buses and cabs are there for emergencies if the car self destructs. can anyone recommend a couple good places in sosua where they might hang out during the day or are they kind of everywhere. also this is a important question-- if i just flock shoot and try to check on interest from girls working in the bars and restaurants am i going to be causing a problem other than perhaps slightly offending someone. in nicaragua to propose sex to a strange woman not working could get you in some problems if her friends are around. nica women are light and hot but they play the courting rules more strictly if not professional workers. what would happen if you get a **** girl? or will all the hotles check?
i don't want any trouble.
cedulas are like i.d. cards. most mongering hotels don't check the girl's cedula. an **** girl can set you up for extortion, she can say she will call the police unless you pay her some ridiculous amount of money, it is not worth it. if they look ****, check their cedula very, very, very carefully to confirm their age or just stay away from them (if they look young and have no cedula walk away, and remember some of these chicas borrow cedulas from their friends or cousins, be on guard). sosua has, amongst the local population in the dominican republic a reputation as ***** haven. if you approach waitresses or bartenders and discreetly ask about their availability, i doubt anyone will be shocked. be discrete. you don't necessarily propose sex to a waitress or bartender, you ask if she would like to join you for a beer to get to know one another. some bars in sosua in the past allowed certain bartenders to leave their job if you payed the bar owner a salida (exit) fee.
many working girls will not walk the streets in the daytime. there are some, but others may live in charamicos or other locations not directly in the center of sosua. at night more chicas come out to play. the point of having a cell phone is that you can collect phone numbers from various chicas at night and then call them during the day to hook up for daytime action. during the day it can get hot, lots of dominican chicas don't like the sun.
if you hook up with some chica you like and you want to see her again, how are you going to communicate with her? it is just easier to have a cell phone, where you can call a chica and ask her to meet you at a certain place, at a certain time. if something comes up with the chica, she can call you to cancel, so you are not waiting on the street for nothing. and vice versa, if you meet some other chica, you can always call the first chica and cancel.

I don't know about. To each his own. But again if you take that road in DR you are possibly setting yourself for extortion and I wouldn't trust anyone in DR who would sell drugs and for all you know they can sell you some bad stuff. NOT WORTH IT.
"If I am patient and look around will I find a young tight thin package that speaks some English and is willing to do everything." I doubt it.
I would be worthless on a phone unless it was a camera phone to make gestures (kinding of course)
Sorry, I misread your post, I thought you said it would be worthless to have a phone.
Some chicas may speak a little English, but don't count on seeing a bunch chicas that speak english.
thanks for the info. i have been reading the posts today and i agree they are entitled to make some money after all it is a democracy. how many of these workers speaky the english. i can order food and pay for it but outside a restuarant i couldn't get to much going without gesturing. i have had some road blocks in nica and costa r but always got what i wanted with very little problem. if i am patient and look around will i find a young tight thin package that speaks some english and is willing to do everything. someone told me most dr girls don't like greek or if they agree they scream and say it hurts is this true. what about hearing that alot of them do it for drug money? how is the legal issue in the dr with druggas like weed and c. in central american you are fine if you stay in your hotel. i would assume the girls could make these things available or do you need to find your own? a relaxing dube is always a nice tension breaker.
you ask about **** girls in one of your reports, then you ask about the green and white, then you say you dont want trouble.please change your mindset before you go down that street.you are setting yourself up.in the dr the person that sells it to you will be the person that sets you up.why?because once they put you in the system you will do anything to get out of it.so you will pay a minimum of 1000usd to get out of jail and the cops and the snitch will share in your grief.messing with young girls is worse.my first trip years ago my cousin was pre-warned.he snuck off with a dominican dude and 15 minutes later we had cops with guns jump out on us with guns.he was thrown in an out door cage with 50 guys, one toilet, no food, mosquitoes.we had a girl take him some food, the guards ate the food and smacked her on her ass.it cost me a few gs to get him out,and he still hasnt paid me back nor has he returned.
