It's been a year since I've been so prices may have gone up but I've always paid 4000COP for the cabana and 2000 a piece for chairs. 20, 000 seems way too much.
However, I do usually buy him the beers or drinks he asks for, maybe 1 or 2 for a stay at the beach.

Coco loco or other mixed drinks can go from 8000 to 12, 000. Just ask when ordering.
I've noticed Tony has different prices for different people. If he sees your new he will try to take extra advantage of you. I say extra because he tries to take advantage of everybody, even if you've known him for years.
If you've never been and get hungry at the beach, order a plate of pargo fish. I think a plate with rice and banano was about 7000 pesos. Enough food to get you by if you don't feel like going to a restaurant and staying put on the beach.

I was in Cartagena last week. I paid 8, 000 for cabana and 2 chairs or 12, 000 for cabana and lay down chairs. Aguillas were 2, 500 Clubs 3, 000.
As far as girls, I was only with one prepago all week. She demanded 200, 000 to start with, I said 150, 000 she said ok but only short time, I said no go. She ended up spending the night for 150, 000.
I saw her numerous times during the week for an undiscussed 100, 0000 in her purse when she was leaving. However this would only be after spending the entire day and night with me. For my taste she was pretty much the hottest girl I saw all week didn't look like a pro and we had great chemistry together.
Also hooked up with a couple of cute non pros, but when you are only there for a short time it becomes too much of a headache dealing with some of these girl's drama and schedules. If I were there longer I would have pursued that route more.
As far as apartments, I stayed in Torre del Lago for a few days. This building looks beautiful but I have been in 3 apartments in the building all had significant mold issues and were very poorly maintained for brand new apartments. I paid 200, 000 for a 2 bed 2 bath. The apartments I have been in Mirador del Laguito are much better maintained and the pool is excellent.
In the end the rental agency plays a big part. The apartments in Torre del Lago were completely barren, not even toilet paper or towels

I'm sure 20k is a bit much but I just didn't feel like arguing with him anymore
The prices you quote for drinks seem very accurate for him too.

If you are fat/old/ugly and speak zero spanish you will still find plenty of hot colombianas to take your money.
Now if you are none of those characteristics or just one or two you will find even more women and a much lower cost.
As for being african-american there might be some girls that won't dig you but there will be just as many that will actually prefer you over a pasty white gringo like myself. My "novia" down in Cartagena has a cousin that ONLY goes with black guys. So don't worry you will have a helluva time.

Colombia has the 3rd largest Black population in the Western Hemisphere. My advice is learn some spanish and do more research on Colombia and learn as mush as you can before you arrive.

I have a quick question. I will be arriving tomorrow about 10:00 pm. I heard on the news that the elections are Sunday and they are supposed to have a curfew on Sat at 12:00 am. Meaning that businesses (bars, etc) are supposed to close at 12:00, I guess so the people won't be to drunk to vote the next day. Is this true?? I defintely want to hit LDV when I get there on Sat. If this is true how does LDV get during the rest of the week?

Girls from all over the country were in town having a vacation and looking to generate revenue during the evenings. If you actually follow through and are there 22-29 June, kindly report back.

Me and my wingman are planning a trip to CTG for the same reason in late July. We're also down for meeting vacationing semi-pro college girls looking to make some coin before going back to school. It took me a while to research the web but I'm pretty sure schools close for summer by late June and appear to open up earlier than the U.S. like in early August. Any mongers with better info please feel free to post with updated info. As an added benefit, Colombian Independence Day is 20 July so that might add to the party atmosphere. What could be better than banging a future laywer, doctor, engineer, whatever.
I have RTFF and have gone about 10 pages deep so far. Am I right in that pretty much the only daytime action to be found is at the beach (playa Hollywood)?
If this is so, is there ever a day in the week where one could go and find absolutely no one on the beach (like Monday or Tuesday)?
