Oh, as for violence. Here is a Thai threatening a Russian at gunpoint, telling him to stay away from his GF: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOIHxZGWMZ4.
I'm not saying that's not possible. But that video is obviously staged and fake. (Either that or the Russian guy just happened to have his camera pointed in the one and only position that perfectly filmed the encounter and the Thai guy was fine with standing there in the only position he could have stood to be perfectly filmed with the door open and his gun pulled out rather than going into the room and closing the door to conceal that he was holding a gun on a guy). And if that did happen, it wouldn't likely be the Thai boyfriend of a bar girl.

I'm more interested if anyone has experienced the same at Billborad as I did. .
I have been to Billboard many many times. I have never had any girl there ask me to buy them 2 drinks at first. One time a girl asked for a tequila/cola and I told her to choose between a tequila and a cola. She chose cola.
For the newbies, never believe a word they say.
Agreed. Also never believe them when they tell you they are only 3 weeks in the biz. .
Agreed. Also never believe them when they tell you they are only 3 weeks in the biz. .
Stating she said she was 3 weeks in the business does not mean I believed her mate. Anyways it was a good example of what these ladies will say.
I became angry and swore in Thia to her. Called over the manager and complained. He told me that this is a rule that all the dancers can't come off the stage unless they get 2 drinks. I pointed out the rudeness of the service and the girl, he apologized and I went back in. Then I noticed a lady on the opposite stage and motioned for her to come over. Again the same blank look and turning away. I lost my temper at this point and went back to the manager. He was furious with the server and demanded her to get the lady off the stage. I immediately ordered 5 shots for her and 2 more beers for me. This girl is number 25. Spinner with big tits, 26 years old. We danced and flirted until I barfined her. Barfine is now 700 for short time and 1000 for LT. I did short time at a local ST hotel off of Soi 4 just after Hillary 4, you turn left. The session was excellent with lots of DFK and multiple positions. She is only 3 weeks in the biz. I paid her 4,000ST feeling in a generous mood. She was a real sweet heart. The sex was incredible and we never talked about the price beforehand so I know she would have accepted 2000. Anyways, the session lasted for almost 3 hours and the ST room was only 300 Baht. This was well worth the money for all.
On a side note for all the newbies. This girl, begged for my line ID and number so she's could see me tonight. I thought, why not.
She wanted to take the night off work and arranged to meet me at The Mall Bangkapi. 2 hours before our meeting she started sending me messages to confirm our meeting saying please come and don't stand me up. I assured her I would be there. After looking through her Line app timeline I decided to comment on one of her posts. I posted love at first site in Thai language. Very flirty thing to do and Thai girls always love when I say it. It's also a good way to test for boyfriends. It weeds out the liars. The last thing I need is a jealous Thai boyfriend. To make a long story short. We never met as after posting, I was blocked on Line and by phone number. This is a great example for newbies because you all need to know that many of these girls have Thai boyfriends. Some even know about their jobs and don't care. Be smart before getting into any kind of relationship with these girls. If you really like one, this is a sure fire way to find the lies about no boyfriends and so on. Some members may think it's ok to mess around with a Thai lady with a Thai boyfriend but I don't like drama so I always test them like this.
You did not point out the "rudeness" of the service to us. Did you do the swearing or the service staff? Just got a bit confused by that bit. Would be nice if they explained it was a rule that a girl cannot come without the 2 drinks from the start, to avoid confusion.
I think Doll House also had this silly rule recently about different BF amount for ST or LT for some girls. The downside of this is, if you take ST, the girl is expected back at the bar within some time limit that is going to be at most 2 hours, perhaps less, or otherwise there will be a penalty. The time limit may not apply if it falls outside closing time. Sometimes the girl may not care. This is probably a thing with girls designated as "Coyotes".
I never had the two drink problem at Billboard, because I was always willing to wait till girl got off the rotating stage. However I can see that to get a soap suds girl you probably have to buy the two drinks, since they seem to take a very long time to rotate off the soapy bath area.
I can identify with trickiness of meeting up with girls. They can be very unreliable. I had this girl, originally from Twisters, later seen again in recent Pat Pong bar, but seemingly working bar only occasionally when fits her schedule. She said around Songkran 10 or 11 April, she would like to come to me privately. Yet she always took a very long time to read any of my messages. Hello why is that? LOL. So I had to ask permission to ring her and chat since you can't have a message conversation with someone who delays so much. So day before Songkran she messages me to say she is available. I answered her message within 10 minutes, after getting out of the shower, but by this time she had said, too late, she has now invited her mother over. Ha Ha. Do I believe that? Not much. Next day I ask is she really serious about meeting. By this time she is not reading any of my messages at all any more. I have probably been either blocked or hidden. You do get these girls playing games juggling men, probably one is supposed to be a BF I guess. We all don't have time for girls to be seriously messing around with saying meet but actually not available.
Nice. What exactly did you say in Thai? As I want to try this as well. But I'm thinking maybe I'll post in English and Thai. Mostly to see if there is falang sponsor or 4. I rather P4 P for no more than 3-4 days if they have sponsors that they are milking. They'll just disappear as soon as their sponsor is in town and leave me hanging if there is any emotions involved, or see if I will financially compete with the sponsor (LOL, no thanks).
Although, I am curious. What actual difficulties does a Thai "boyfriend" pose? Is there a concern for violence here? Or are you just concerned that she'll disappear and only to reappear when she and her BF need more money?
I know the correct Thai but decided against this. I don't like to cause trouble for Thai girls that are not doing m any harm. Yes there is a risk a Thai girl can get beaten up by a Thai "boyfriend". Beating up the Mrs is well accepted in Thai society. Girls don't always even have free will to leave some guy if he won't allow it. My GF had to do a runner when her boyfriend was not home, taking what important possessions she could, and make sure he could never find where she had gone. She was beaten up when he was drunk and in a bad mood. She did fear for her safety. This was before I met her. Thai police do not protect girlfriends.
You are far better off if a girl has one or more Farang BFs. When girls come to realise, that I am not jealous, not controlling, accepting that there maybe other men, and that I bring no hassles or problems, only fun, they start to see my advantages for casual meets instead of young selfish possessive and controlling males. The girl can tell me only as much as she pleases but eventually realises there is no need to tell me lies. We can have fun together as friends but include good sex together, because I am hassle free with no controlling behaviours, and no jealousy.
What's good for the Gander is good for the Goose. I play around. I expect horny types of girls also do so. If a girl is relatively unhorny type, she ceases to become really useful to me sexually. Okay My GF does not have high and frequent sexual needs, so does not play up. Means she also does not provide sufficiently sexually. I would love to have sex with her nearly every day, but it is not going to happen.
Recall the story about a Suzie Wong girl that could not come to work, because she had black eyes from being beaten by her Thai boy drug addict when she did not supply him enough money. Why did she acquire this Thai boy? She had a really good Farang sponser before that that, who she eventually lost due to the Thai boy no doubt, once he found out. I think her name was something like Nun / Noon. May have this wrong now. However her name has appeared on this forum 2 or 3 years back. A pushy girl with ugly body including half coconut implants up top on a non curvy thick body, not my type at all.

Cultural differences
Cultural differences: http://thearticulateceo.typepad.com/my-blog/2011/08/cultural-differences-monochronic-versus-polychronic.html.
"Though they can be easily distracted they also tend to manage interruptions well with a willingness to change plans often and easily. People are their main concern (particularly those closely related to them or their function) and they have a tendency to build lifetime relationships. Issues such as promptness are firmly based on the relationship rather than the task and objectives are more like desirable outcomes than must do's. ".
Thai people do not see time in the same way that falangs do. They respect people over time, if that makes any sense. And since there are multiple people in their life, this means that people on lower priority get ditched in favor of those with higher priority. But also because they want to avoid loss of face (for both parties), p4p girls will never outright deny a request to meet. And they will go and do what they want, on the basis of priority for that day (no plans, or better things to do occur naturally).
In general, expect nothing when making plans (actually, better to make plans with multiple for this cultural reason), and tend to avoid those who don't show up promptly (it indicates that they have better things to do now and in the future).

Love it man! Exactly. Always have a backup plan when your main girl is not 100% reliable. When the girl says we will meet tomorrow, the chances are actually very low. If she says we will sleep together tonight, the chances improved a lot but still not certain. She asks me later did I book the liaison Hotel for more than one night, LOL? Of course not. There was not that level of certainty she would not change her mind.
I try to behave in such a way as to make girls think I am hassle free, and don't have to be lied to, due to no jealousies. I can then move up their priority list, because I don't make big problems. They can blow off the young selfish, possessive controlling types that bring problems. Right now am happy to be either the special girl's no. 2 man or close it, without the responsibility to be her official BF (who doesn't know everything that is going on). Can be good for the girl to pick up an older understanding man, that can still get her off okay.
If the girl is not available, she can say so, no loss of face with me. I don't mind. It's a lot better than being stuffed around. The problem is recent girls don't understand. Longer term girls may get it.
Some Thai girls never answer a question with a Yes.
A Thai Yes means "maybe". A Thai "Maybe" means "No". A Thai "tomorrow" means "probably not tomorrow but maybe someday". A Thai "Today for sure" means reasonable chance will happen. A Thai "I am leaving now" means "I will think about leaving sometime soon" , "I am in the taxi" means "I am still waiting to get a taxi, I will call for a taxi soon".
The best way for a Thai girl to answer very probing unwanted questions, is just to be indignantly silent. This avoids being caught out telling blatant lies. We are better off if we did not ask those questions. I try to let girls tell me only as much as they want to tell me.

I dated one such widow for 3 years, with her living with me for the final 10 months. Then she started becoming unreliable, just like described above. After one weekend when she missed all planned activities I told her not to come to my house that evening and stay at her daughter's house. The next day I changed my house locks and hauled all her things to the front door for her pickup.
Her priorities were (1) whatever she felt like doing even if it wasn't what she previously agreed to do. (2) activities with her adult USA citizen children, (3) activities with her Thai girlfriends who are living in USA, and (4) pre planned activities with me, the man who owns the house she has been living in for free. I tossed her out of my house 1. 5 years ago. Last month I got a call from her girlfriend asking for a place to stay at my house since her husband kicked her to the curb.
This unreliable nature of Thai women is causing me problems again. I'm working on thaifriendly and line to select a girl to accompany me on my next trip to Koh Samui. It's easy to find girls to agree, but how many yes answers do I need to get one that will actually get on that airplane with me? 2? 4? 6?

Problem is not $3
One should never argue with a Thai person, because loss of face. The problem can be rectified passively by allowing them to save face. Don't accuse them of being liars or having a bad memory (stupid). Instead, better to always agree on a price ahead of time. Always. If they can't hold to that price, which I think is pretty rare, then I have no idea what to do. Judgement call at that point.
And yes, I negotiate with people in third world countries all the time. It's not my fault that their country is poor. That's not on me. I pay the market rate, not 2 x the market rate. I'll pay 1. 2 x or 1. 4 x for the falang tax, but I prefer to pay the normal rate. I think people who have free and unrestrained sympathy for random poor people are just weak. They'll think you are weak too and gladly take your money and have no respect for you either.
Problem is not $3, I know it's peanuts, however the problem is ethics, tell me if the uber / regular cabbie in New York or LA. Or for that matter any developed country would do this, once you reach your destination ask for fare higher than the meter or the app, and ask you to pay more cause you are a foreigner or cause there was way too much traffic on the road. Transparency is always appreciated, I did not even take a motorcycle taxi even once during this trip, stick to regular taxis and asked for the Meter, on one occasion I took a cab outside terminal 21, I saw the driver shut off the meter at a switch located near his left leg, and told me no meter you pay 100 baht for Soi 26 (holiday inn, which is right in the beginning of the Aoi), asked him to stop the cab, got out at the Asoke Intersection and caught the next one. Again it was not the 50 baht that I probably saved but ethically the cabbie was wrong.
There is a book called PRIVATE DANCER by Stephen Leather that is a great read and I recommend it to everyone. I think you can download the pdf online if you don't want to buy the book. That book is great for newbies to let them know the facts about the Thai bar girls. Very accurate and funny as well.
I get lots of Thai girls Line contacts. However, I simply use it to contact them via text messages. I would only consider commenting on their timeline if I knew them quite well already and was actually considering a serious relationship with them (there has been one Thai bar girl in 20 years I would put in that category). Although definitely possible, I doubt a Thai boyfriend would be a problem because, as you mentioned, most of them (almost all of them) know about their jobs and don't care. Most (almost all) of the Thai boyfriends love that she is making money from as many customers as possible. The money she makes from you goes to the boyfriend so he can buy drugs, booze, new tires for his motorbike, etc. However, I realize these girls have multiple customers and I don't want the other customers getting upset when they see another guy is commenting on her Line account. That could end up costing her money in the long run. A lot of these girls have guys sending them money every month thinking the girl has stopped work and is waiting patiently for their return. As unethical as that may be on her part, it is normal with these Thai bargirls and who am I to interfere with her income? Posting it in Thai doesn't hide it's meaning from non Thai speakers these days due to apps like google translate.

There is a book called PRIVATE DANCER by Stephen Leather that is a great read and I recommend it to everyone. As a quick, easy, and mildly entertaining weekend read its good but using it as an anthropological reference isn't recommended and I actually discourage people who are getting into the scene not to read it. The only thing that it actually gets moderately right is the description of the western sexpat.
As to your second point, I think that posting comments of the nature that BKKDOG detailed is of the mentality that gives farang sexpats a bad name in Thailand.
As guests, there should be a certain level of respect shown toward these ladies. They are professionals, its there job to 'stroke' the male ego. There is an entire industry that brings them up and trains and conditions them to discover what a man wants and to give it to him and in doing so they can make a living. As in any profession, you have workers of different skill-sets and motivations. Some are honest and go to work each day just wanting to make a living and maximizing their earning potential, while others are more lazy and don't put much effort and just get by on looks or understand that the customer base is mostly one-offs.
Part of the job is acting. Its presenting a guy with their dream woman scenario. Some of the more experienced ladies who take pride in their work will be able to feel out what you want very quickly and adjust to accommodate your desires. The less experienced ones may take a session or two. Others won't care and just do what they do but most will present a persona that often times is not a accurate representation of their personal lives. Most of these ladies are also not proud of what they do and they sure as hell don't like it when their business life spills over into their personal life. Having some foreigner post on their Line timeline and then booting him off is an example of this. Nothing screams Thai sex worker like some farang (unless they are young and handsome) making flirty comments on your social media wall, especially when the comments are in the google interpretation of Thai.
Where foreigners get into trouble, mostly of their own doing, is when they stop seeing them as professionals or they never see them as equals. Just because you pay them for a bit of sex and psychological counseling, doesn't mean you own them outside of the agreed to time that you paid them for. You're a customer, they are sales people + service provider and some of the more business minded ladies do what sales people do, they will make you feel special so you come back for more. So if you are able to get a Line contact or phone number from a lady you paid to have sex with, it shouldn't be considered as an invite for a potential no-strings attached relationship. Consider it to be a VIP pass for her services. To avoid confusion, one should look at the situation and take account of what's really going on. Are there any red flags like I am 50 and she 22 or I have never been called handsum in my life but here is this lady telling me how handsum and sexy I am while I ram my cock up her ass and then CIM. Perspectives.
And since we are on the subject of perspectives, the whole violent abusive Thai guy thing is a bit overplayed. When you consider the amount of disrespect westerners, especially tourists and sexpats show toward Thai women and subsequently Thai men, we should be seeing a lot more violent crimes in the news but we don't. As far as abusive, again, I think that people who mostly operate within certain levels of society will see and hear things that are indicative of the socio-economics of those people. The less educated or closed minded types will then apply what they see to the populace as a whole. So if I meet up with 10 MP girls and 5 of them say that they often are abused by their farang customers, I could say that all farang men are abusive but I know better given that I myself am a farang and where I come from the only men who are known for being stereotypical abusive are guys who where tank tops, drink a 24 pack of Budweiser in an afternoon while watching NASCAR.
I am going to admit the behavior of some members of staff is bad and who knows when you select a newbie girl there.
Last night two Indian gentlemen were arguing outside the front door with door staff. I don't believe they came in. Perhaps were being asked to pay something up front (or being denied entry). So there is discrimination. Exactly how the discrimination works or reasons are not clear. Obviously Indians in general are not viewed as desirable. I just walked straight through the front door unchallenged. They would recognise my face and know I have taken a girl plenty of times.
As an Indian I have had to pay a "entry fine" of 500 baht to enter CH. I think the problem is that Indians are perceived as "cheapskates" who don't spend, just come there to ogle at the girls, create a fuss if challenged and the like. Due to the fact that Thailand is one of the countries that provide visa on arrival for Indians, it attracts a lot of tourism from the lower strata of society with behavior to match. At least I want to think that way but I have seen supposedly educated Indians behaving obnoxiously in German FKK's with the girls so I'm wondering if there's more to it than that.
-
Yes there is discrimination at Ch. I am of Indian origin, living in New York, I was stopped outside Ch and asked for an ID, I was with a girl in spite of that, I asked him why to which he said India, I showed him my New York drivers license and told him to take a flying fuck, I walked away and told him I will not enter a disrespectful bar like yours, don't know if that really mattered to him, however I can ensure he lost out on a lot of business that day and still is doing so. So probably that is what the Indians were arguing about.
So possibly being from USA, you would possibly be accepted as a likely useful customer.
Not sure what you want respect for. However your decision. I don't go to a monger venue looking for respect. As long as not continuously hassled. I don't need a Wai from the staff. I don't need anyone to suck up to me. In fact I dislike it. I have been refused entry to some Japanese oriented establishments. However if I was begrudgingly allowed in, I would not be concerned if they have no respect for me. After all I am just a hopeless guy lusting for naked girls. Probably the Japanese manager at Can Cam does not like me because I speak to the girls in Thai that he can't understand, however should I care what he thinks of me? No way. I don't give a flying fuck.
If I liked Baccara, or was interested, I would put up with their door policy bullshit of buying drinks before entering, however since I don't like the girls or the crowded set up, I don't bother.
I just wonder if those demanding high respect are a little pompous. There is no perfection in monger venues. There are nice people and assholes all mixed in together. I don't care if some staff hate me, as long as my target girls remain fun, or I can find new target girls, I am happy.
If I go in the Thermae, am I shown respect? Not at all. Some guy at the door will be pushing me toward making a drink order, before I even had a chance to see if there is any point to stay for a while. I have to say I am just checking if a friend is there, type bullshit. I will buty a drink if line up looks to have possibilities, but even then may strike out. However whether I go and whether I stay long purely depends if I can find a girl giving a good vibe with the right look. Others don't want to talk to me at all. Too bad. Get used to it.
In my home country, doormen would select the customers to be allowed into a disco. I found that I could get in easily if accompanied by a hot girl. By myself, not likely, "we're full right now".
If idiot people treat you badly, you lose if you let it affect you, and I do lose at times when my mood is spoiled. However my objective is to become serenely oblivious to the idiots, take no notice of them, and win because they fail to have an effect or influence on my mood or enjoyment of the day. This is the Buddhist way, even I am not a true proper Buddhist. Some of the teachings though have a lot of merit.
Stay happy. Don't get stressed out by bullshit happening everywhere.
