Phukkit - 2 weekends without bars!!!
Damn those politicians... they have an effing election! The bars are closed! (almost all of them in that 'Thai style' of closing)
Election Commission has announced that once again, alcohol sales and public celebrations are prohibited from 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, until midnight Sunday, April 27.
Pattaya’s mayoral and city council elections are scheduled for May 4, meaning bars and entertainment places in Pattaya will be prohibited from selling alcohol next weekend, too, from 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3, until midnight Sunday, May 4.
Meaning both these 2 weekends will be great for the freelancers.. I guess there must be some very pissed off mongrels here :)
election = Beach road packed
There will have been plenty on beach road.
Better to set up a date and stock up your room w/ booze!
Pattaya Beer Garden Opens
It is based on the famous Beer Garden on Soi 7 in Bangkok. Apparently the opening night in Pattaya was a huge success. Read about it Pattaya Beer Garden.
Evil
Soi8 - one bar area closed down
And on Soi 8 the strech of bars on the same side as Sunshine Hotel is on has now been demolished. The last 2 are still standing, since they were not made of wood.
The rest of the bars on Soi 8 is still up and running. Just a big quiter and fewer girls to select from.
Photo guide - Street Level map of Pattaya
Saw this posted on another forum. It's a really amazing site.
Hello,
Just stumbled across this the other night. I don't know if it has been posted before, but a search pulled up no results so I thought I would share it.
It uses Google maps, but has the whole center of Pattaya mapped out in photos. It's kind of neat to be able to check it out before heading there.
Anyway enjoy. ;)
