Rio de Janeiro Reports

Finally had some free time to wonder around a bit. The 2 regular girls I`ve been seeing spent the Sun and Mon with families.

I have only visit Termas so haven't found out how it works in Balcony for example.

It's been more than a year since I've been to these clubs but one is Baronete in Ipanema. Very young crowd and very crowded. Some really like it, but I hated it. I did enjoy Kabaret Kaleza in Praca Ma'ua (sp? ). Kind of a rough area but had a really good time there. I wouldn't go alone and had a garota with me which makes it a different experience.

Interesting read there. Will be making my second trip to Rio in May and I'm very interested in exploring the "street actions" in Rio. During my first trip in Rio last year, I pretty much hung out at Help every other night. While I did enjoy the atmosphere and the talent of GDPs, it definitely grew old on me by my 4th visit.

The street you mentioned in your post, Prado Jr. , is where I will be staying. On my first visit to Help, I did a walk around of Help (that was around 1130pm) and a SW approached my wanting my business. To best of my knowledge and belief, no one has ever said anything negative about the employees at L'uomo. In fact, other than knowing that it is hug, not hugh, the bartender at L'uomo, in my opinion, is the best in Rio. The rest of the employees are equally awesome. Also, I was very clear that the cook is excellent; but it is hard to make anything decent when you have no money to work with.

The problem lies, as it always does, with management. Turn on the television, pickup a newspaper. It is hard to miss that the economy is not doing very well. Raising prices in such an environment makes absolutely no sense. In a roundabout way, I am trying to offer some helpful advice and since this board has an active and diverse readership maybe it will come to the attention of someone who can do something about it.

I would recommend you read (or re-read) Bubba Boys guide to Rio. It will answer many of your questions about both girls and safety. Also read the crime and safety thread in the forum.

Many of the streets are dangerous for tuorist especially after midnight.
Not only Atlantica and the area around Prado Junior.

I think if you read both threads mentioned above you will learn a greal deal of insight for a safe and enjoyable trip.
