Manaus

Hi everyone / moderator:

My best friend has a huge 6500 sq ft luxury house which he wants to lease / rent for the WORLD CUP with 5 rooms near the FIFA FAN FEST in Manaus. I would like to know if I can publish here in the ISG the characteristic of the house and the terms.

If not, can I publish in another thread here in the ISG?

Can anybody help me where else I can look for potencial customers? I am looking to target Italians, English, Portuguese and Americans fans.

Thanks in advance.

Imagine visiting a bunch of the best forró clubs in Manaus and hand out invitations to all the most beautiful girls. I guess the rent will be a small fortune during the World Cup.

Sperto,

Thanks for the info. I plan on booking a hotel before my wingman and I arrive in Manaus. I'm live in NYC, I'm use to and like taking cabs.

You wouldn't believe the pieces of crap being rented for R$1, 000-3, 000. Take a look:

Now, it'd be an ideal location for a festinha with a bunch of garotas from forros and Remulos...

I saw Sperto's recent helpful update on Manaus.

Wondering if I could get some other advice from people actually on the ground in Manaus. I have always wanted to go there to see the jungle, as well as have fun on the side. I found some tickets for the June 22 USA Portugal game, and wondering whether to pull the trigger.

Going during the World Cup could make the trip better (added experience of seeing a WC game) or worse in terms of hassle. I know that obviously hotel prices will be up. But how ready is Manaus in terms of infrastructure for the games? Is it going to be a big hassle (can't get anywhere, water and electricity shortages, etc) such that I should wait until after the games?

I could go now. OR I could wait until Feb and link it to a Mardi Gras trip to Salvador.

Thanks in advance.

I saw you've changed from renting the whole place to renting rooms. First I almost spit out my breakfast when I saw your price, R$1000/night. Just for fun I checked out airbnb and your prices ain't bad considering the high standard on your place. On airbnb they are trying to rent out really shitty apartments at extreme prices. Good luck and have fun!

Yes, the room prices are high, but if you research Trip Advisor, the prices are higher and for dumps. Even more, there are no rooms left for Italy-England and USA-Portugal. For the other games the prices are the same or higher than ours and the quality frightening.

In reality, this listing is a test. This house was meant to be the residence of my friend, he doesn't even live in the house, he lives in Centro. While in construction, it was used as a weekend getaway for family and for parties, events for friends and associates. We also have had quite a few surubas when his wife is not around.

He has never been in the hospitality business. The idea came along the way to rent it for short and long term and what better test than the World Cup. Now that the house was finally finished, the house has been equipped with everything new: the furniture, the beds, the linens, the 2 home theaters, the 6 LED TVs, appliances, large screen projector, etc, etc.

As I said, I have been checking on the status of the hotels in Manaus and they are booked solid for England-Italy and USA-Portugal and the few available are going fast and asking for ridiculous prices for, excuse the expression, garbage dumps.

But thanks for your opinion because I also think it is somehow overpriced and I'll let him know.

What about I get the house and we, you and me, organize the party, next time you are in Manaus? I'll be there until July 15th.

That'd be great!

And I am serious about that party.
pmr: i will be in manaus in a few weeks, and was looking forward to some fun at remulos. my brazilian gf tells me it was closed. this is an old story in brazil (the municipality closes a boate for pimping / having rooms on the premises / **** girls, but then the owner goes to court and gets the boate opened again as the charges are usually nonsense).

i have googled remulos and can find a few articles about the place being recently shutdown (like it was in december, then again in january, then again in february, etc). now that the world cup is over, i was hoping it would be open.

can you update me on its current status?

Tickets to Manaus have become much more expensive. Prices from Rio to Manaus reaching over R$2000 one way on some dates.
Right now GOL have a promotion. If you book your ticket today or tomorrow you get a discount using the promotion code FESTAMAO. Valid for round trips during the 23 Nov-22 Dez. Prices as low as R$382 one way.
I won't use the promotion, but maybe somebody else here can benefit from it.
I've heard that a lot of Colombians and Venezuelans are working in Remulos. Can somebody confirm if that is right?
They are way more Colombians and Venezuelan s than I expected. I spent 3 days in Manaus in Oct. I was wondering to myself why the sex and seevice was not as good as Rio. I had a Venezuela chick with out knowing. Alot of the girl are quick to get you in the room but the sex is just ok and sometimes rush. The sex is nothing like what I experience in Rio. I spent the next 9 days in Rio having fun.

Going from Manaus then right to Rio really showed me that the Brazilian chicks really enjoy sex and can take the dick. All the chicks I had and wanted in Manaus were not Brazilian. There were 3 bad ass Colombian chicks. I fucked two of them. The sex was ok and they were both clock watchers.

I stayed at Go Inn Hotel, which was a 2 min work to Remulos. All of the spot are two or three blocks from Remulos.
