Reached Dhaka on 10th March and stayed in Orchard Plaza. The hotel was booked by my business partner. Checked my inbox to see if anyone was game for joint mongering. Hrs before I’v visited Kader. We met in front of Lab-Aid, as usually he did before with the other mongers (thnx for the phone no. mentioned here) and entered in a pocket door of a building within a walking distance.

Quality seems to be going down and the boys are certainly trying to get the most cash out of everyone. Normal price should be 2500 or 3000 taka - I,ve also had the guy asking for 4000 and said no I will go elsewhere. Yesterday I'v visited Hotel Park at Kakrail. The location as same as described before. Beside the Rajmoni Cinema Hall, the Garage way and 1st turn left. The 2nd stair way is for the Bar. But I’m unfortunate enough and there were no empty room to stay.

I agree with your observation.

The fact is, because of the discussion over here on board regarding this particular guest house, the visit by mongers (mostly locals) in this place has increased. They had been in bad situation for last 2 years as the law enforcing agencies had to be little strict. But now having the political government in power, the LEA are manageable.

This sudden rush of mongers has given them a chance to ask for additional price. And the girls are also providing less time and attention to the mongers as she is in rush to complete the present deal and offer candidacy for next.

Guest house authority is reluctant to address these issues as they see a sharp rise in their visitors as well as business. The NATURAL outcome is to look for alternatives off course.
