Why every time I make a post do you have to criticize me in some way? Can you just not let it go? Don’t you have anything better to do than stay on this site all day and come up with useless information.

I try to help out the newcomers, when I can. The guy opened a bank account with 1,000 Baht. Thai banks will charge you 50 per month if your account has under 2,000 Baht. So, the guy made a mistake. The teller at the bank should of told him, but then again you never know how good her English is, or if she could of even explained it anyway.

In addition, I should have mentioned this before. Thai banks also charge you 200 Baht per year for your ATM card. So, even if you do open an account with 2,000 Baht after one year it will be under the minimum limit and you will be hit with the monthly bank fee.

Hopefully, when he set up his account, he also set up internet banking and can transfer some funds in, so he does not have problems in the future.

Other than that, Goyave, please do not comment on my post anymore. They are not intended for you, nor do you comments add any quality information that a newcomer might find useful. In addition, I find them offensive and I am tired of reading them.

Read again the previous posts, Bill Miami, and you will (hopefully) see that I'm not the one who wrote some precisions about Kasikorn bank accounts, and I'm not the one who mentioned your paranoia either, so, don't present things this way, because despite what you might think, I am not a serial antagonist and certainly don't deserve the honor to be considered as your Nemesis.

As for the rest of your latest post, I would answer that I, and other members with a minimum of common sense, simply don't agree with what you say (repeatedly) about freelancers, that's all, and we express it (repeatedly too) as often as you deal with that matter. It's not against you, it's against what you wrote (on this topic).

As for being offensive, just read again what you wrote about freelancers just a few weeks ago or more recently, how you were speaking with Member #2041, implying that he is a cheap Charlie or that he might be poorer than you just because he almost exclusively chooses his girls amongst freelancers. Some people just don't want to pay any middleman, especially when they don't need one. It's not because they are poor or cheap, it's because they would rather spend the barfine money on other things that they estimate being more useful or more appreciated by their girls (such as tips for those who deserve them, for instance).

And with freelancers (or other girls anyway), you can also simply insist on the girls dropping off their ID card at the reception, and require that the reception makes a phone call to your room when they are about to leave and checks that everything is fine before giving them back their ID card.

I find Walking Street go-go bars to be the only place with quality acceptable to me in Pattaya, and even then I have to hunt for a while. Beer bar girls are cheaper and usually friendlier, but have nearly always had a baby (an instant no-no to me) and tend to be older (18-21 is my range). Any of you Pattaya experts know of any other options, other than go-gos, for that quality? By the way I am in BKK right now, and the quality in Nana Plaza is the best I have seen for years, and they are getting their kits off again now! However for B2000 ST and B600 BF they should be good.

All you have to do is read the Pattaya Mail and every week there is at least one story, if not two or three about tourist picking up freelancers and being drugged and ripped off.

Or maybe it's that I have much more well developed instincts and street savvy and common sense than you do, and I am perfectly capable of doing what's needed to safeguard my personal belongings and my physical being. What you call my having been lucky, I call my having taken suitable precautions to protect my valuables and my person. The fact that you recognize that you yourself are incapable of protecting yourself in the company of a freelance hooker is not my concern. I personally haven't got any issue with doing so. My belongings are always secured when I'm with one. I don't get drunk either, so I keep my wits about me. I've written it before.

Best way is to lock yourself, and the girl, inside and put the door key inside the electronic safe. In that way she can not leave unless you open the door for her.

Unfortunately not all hotels provide this option. Most apartments do or you can install your own at some low cost.

Rule of thumb NEVER EVER leave your drink unattended even in your room when you are with a girl. You go to the bathroom take it you.

Also INSIST on her taking a shower with you and wash her thoroughly. They even spray their breasts with the good night Cinderella thing.

Thanks mate. I was not aware of that and was never explained to me when I opened my account there.

Any way I'm coming back mid February and will take care of all these minor details. Also ask them full details in English if available.

Even if they are taking 50 baht (1 euro) per month it is acceptable by me. Not a big deal. They need 20 months to zero my account. I'll be there much sooner.

During my recent trip to Pattaya I had the distinct pleasure of spending 6 days and more importantly 6 nights with ms. Hom from Devilsden.
