Much has been written on this forum on the multiple dangers posed by middlemen. Try and avoid them if you can, if not, exercise due caution. Avoid carrying expensive phones, laptops, jewellery, bank cards, or more cash than you are likely to need.

Do take care, and always trust your gut. Try independents if your budget allows for it -- yes, they are more expensive but certainly safer, cleaner, and a whole lot more pleasant to deal with.

Is it safe to trust these ads, I mean is it fine to call them up. Should I call them from my cell or some local phone box. What is the risk of LE in it?

I would advise you to take one pre-paid SIM for mongering activities. That gives you freedom to switch off phone when you are in office/home and avoid useless calls/sms when you do not want service from pimp. If you start receiving calls on your office/home phone, you are in serious trouble of getting freqent calls from them and getting caught at office/home. It cost hardly INR50 now a days for extra SIM. If you can get it on outdaged address/false name, it will give you identity fabrication as well. As long as you are not troubling any independant girl, you are fine. Keep re-cycling your extra SIM every year gives you some peace from LE. Please note that the pimps note down your numbers in their diaries and if pimp get caught and if LE want to track down people associated with them, they can do so. But hardly I have seen that happening in practical life. So, enjoy and keep re-cycling the numbers for safety.
