And maybe less pressure for them to agree to be taken out just to meet a monthly quota?
Bangkok Bunnies posted on Twitter today that the ladies that were quoting bar fines on Monday night were spoken to (given a final warning.) As of now there are no bar fines to take a lady away, and no drink minimums. I hope their new business model succeeds. IMO the 5 decades old "gogo" business model is dying under its own weight.

SL.[/QUOTE]Agreed! It has gotten way to expensive to take a GoGo gal. Most Gogos are not doing well business wise. A select few like CH and Bac are, but the rest are struggling. Take the BF away and 2 k to 2. 5 k is not that bad for ST. I would certainly get back in the game. Bunnies will do well and drink sales will probably go up and way offset what they will lose in BFs. Hopefully all the bars will have to follow suit. And you are right; it could revitalize the industry.

And yes, she did not want the Asian customers or her friends to see her leaving with a white dude. I really miss early '00's Thermae before the Siam City Hotel closed and it became and Asian oriented bar. It really was the best place in BKK. I was there at least 3 nights a week. Took more gals out of there than any other place in SE Asia. Sadly we are the minority in the P4 P scene now and will never be the majority again.
I think we should all support Bangkok bunnies for this effort in changing things. Let's at least go in to get a drink when we're in Bangkok.

Proprietors and promoters of these supposed "customer benefits", whether they are rating systems for P4 P girls' services, Happy Hour pricing, this new No Barfine policy or whatever, rarely seem to understand the value of making every customer aware of it by putting it right in their faces isn't just about making the customers aware of it. There will always be customers who don't see the sign, don't bother reading the info, can't read the info, choose to ignore it and all of that. The often more important aspect of putting the info right in the faces of the customers, God and everyone else is to avoid inviting and to instead discourage the girls and staff from playing on the customers' assumed ignorance about the offering in order to game it for their own purposes until it is no longer a customer "benefit" at all but a customer setback and turn off.
On Monday night, I WANTED to support Bangkok Bunnies for this effort to change things in this way by showing up, buying drinks, buying Lady Drinks, taking a lady. On day one. But the proprietors and management dropped the ball and apparently had no idea or didn't care that there would be girls out to scam their customers on their new "customer benefit" offering. Putting a big sign stating the deal right there for all to see, especially for the girls to know that every customer can see it, would have been a blissfully simple solution. But they couldn't be bothered and that was too complicated, I guess. LOL.

Pattaya gogo pricing will seem steep in comparison. If the club puts "no barfine charge ever" on each tab that would get it accross much quicker than twitter. Whatever the reason for this decision it sure makes the club stand out.

The effect of this is that for a bar girl to get the same value out of $40 USD from 2001, she now needs $160 USD, while for the American, $40 USD is still $40 USD. I don't find GoGo prices to be unreasonable, what worries me more, is that westerners will get black listed or the girls will simply leave the industry as it no longer pays enough. Pretty girls are not going to suck off fat old men for anything less than 1/4 of a months salary. If the rates drop, the hot one will quit.

How do I know? I live here, have or almost 2 decades, and had a company here. Median salary is more, but not that much more. Cost of living is more, but not that more. Double what it was in '00, certainly. 4 times more. Hardly. What I do believe is that non-P4P jobs now pay enough to keep most gals out of the industry and if they are moonlighting they do it online and not in venues as it is more discreet, preferring local guys to foreigners as well. Gogo prices are unreasonable in not just the number but the services delivered. As the price has increased the level of service has for the most part decreased.

But the truth is many are drug addicts, spend their money faster than they make it, get busted by the police on the way to meet their clients at night and must pay a bribe, give out their hard earned cash to friends who are in need (with the thinking that what goes around comes around) and many other spending habits that result in them having little money left to pay rent. I was told high season wasn't very good to the girls and many are living day to day with a harsh slow season. Money is money, nobody with money will be blacklisted anywhere in Thailand.
Goatscrot is correct, online is the new business model. Smooci dot com is one of them, I know line, whatsapp and skout are also popular apps. But be warned, these girls take thousands of selfies and know how to make themselves look good. My buddy met his girl and she tried to get him to do a threesome with her friend. But not many customers. The Beat was always packed and had to be a money maker. Why they closed and renovated into a restaurant is crazy. I thought they had the best music and bands in Bkk.
