1. I speak Cantonese fairly well, but I don't read it or type it. That's why I can't search in Chinese, etc. If I can find the sites, I'll just look at profiles and send emails in very basic English.

2. I wouldn't ever try to find someone under 18 years old, but most F.6/7 girls are 18 or above. In my mind it is not a problem if they are still in high school SO LONG AS THEY ARE 18 OR OLDER. However I was thinking that university students or young girls just out of school working at McDonald's or whatever, who need money, would be more likely candidates.

Inspired by Kardel's post asking about the differences between mongering in Hong Kong and Macau, I decided to draw up a brief comparison between the two. After all, these two islands are right next to each other and quite similar in many respects. It's quite tempting to take that ferry ride across the sea to discover what the sin City of Asia has to offer. And while the two are fairly similar, they do have their differences, and here are their differences as I see them.

Some generalizations first.

Hong Kong

Most mongers in this region of the world will be situated in Hong Kong. It's just bigger, easier to access, and easier to navigate as a foreigner. Hong Kong is one of the most expensive cities in the world, so be prepared to have your wallet feeling a lot lighter after a few days of fun. That said, there are so many things to do in this city. Even mongering itself has more variety in HK. There tend to be more South East Asian and Eastern European girls here. As far as legal issues go, as a punter you should have no trouble with the law. Even if you should be unfortunate enough to get caught in a raid, just show the police a copy of your passport and they should let you go without any major embarrassment or harassment. However, being that prostitution isn't "perfectly legal" here, along with the issues of illegal immigration, the mongering scene in general can feel a bit more sleazy. Also be prepared to endure more walks of shame and risk bumping into people you know with your newfound lady friend.

Macau

About an hour's ferry ride from Hong Kong, Macau is hailed as the Las Vegas of Asia. Transportation isn't as convenient as Hong Kong. There are fewer flights to Macau, so most people come to Hong Kong and take the ferry ride over. The ride itself is cheap, fast, and comfortable, but it still takes extra time and money. There's really not much to do in Macau, so you'll probably be bored out of your mind if you stay longer than a weekend. Also, Macau is heavily influenced by China, so English will not work as well as it does in HK. On the other hand, speaking Chinese (Mandarin) gets you much further in Macau than it does in HK. On that same note, Macau's selection focuses more on Chinese and less on South East Asian or Eastern European, though there is still a healthy variety. The best part about Macau is that since it gets about 80% of it's GDP from gambling and its associated sins, prostitution is perfectly legal and oftentimes encouraged. Rarely does Macau feel sleazy. All hotels are GF, rarely do you have to worry about a walk of shame, and it's virtually impossible to run into someone you know. Even in the one in a million chance that you do, you both know why you're here.

Now, on to the girls.

Saunas

This is Macau's bread and butter, and you've never been to one before, I strongly recommend that you do. It may be a bit more pricey, but nothing in HK even comes close. The quality of the girls is definitely top-notch, as is their service. The facilities are easily accessible, clean, friendly, and non-sleazy. The atmosphere is one of a gentlemen's club where you're just there to "relax, " not like other places where everyone's just looking for ass. The majority of the girls will be Chinese, along with a small offering of South East Asian girls, a couple Eastern European ones, and one or two black girls. If saunas are your thing, there's no question about it, Macau is hands down the way to go.

Hotel Reservation

HK takes the lead with this one, but only because Macau doesn't really offer this service. 141 and other similar sites have a bunch of profiles you can look over before calling them to arrange a session. Communication with the pimp may be a problem, and you also have to meet the girl at her hotel, not the other way around. The pictures, while real, are extensively Photoshopped, so keep that in mind. These girls will cost you about the same (and sometimes more) than a sauna experience in Macau with the additional inconveniences mentioned above. If this is your style of mongering, I suggest just going to a sauna in Macau.

Walk Ups

Again, HK comes out the winner, but only because this kind of service isn't readily available in Macau. Finding walk ups is similar to finding hotel reservation girls. Same sites, same Photoshopped pictures, only you usually don't have to call anyone beforehand. Instead, you visit the girls at their apartments, which are a little run down, are filled with Johns wandering the halls looking for a Jane, and reek of sex. Walk ups can be pretty cheap and the quality is average with a few good ones thrown into the mix. If you're just looking for a quick and dirty fix, HK will be your best bet for lack of similar service in Macau.

Streetwalkers

SWs aren't really my thing, but from my limited experience, I will say that it is pretty much a tie. Price, ease of access, quality, service, and variety of selection is about the same. HK streetwalkers seem to be mostly South East Asian while Macau has slightly more Chinese girls, though they are usually old and busted. Overall, Macau hotels are more GF to this sort of thing than HK ones, but there will still be a walk of shame past the front desk to your room.

Hotel Walkers

Okay, I made this category up, but it basically refers to the Lisboa racetrack girls and Venetian food court girls. Think of them as upscale streetwalkers. Basically it's the same routine, only the girls are younger, hotter, more expensive, and do their advertising inside a nice hotel instead of on the shady street. Service is oftentimes lacking and rushed. They have a nice room of their own upstairs and the walk of shame factor is a lot smaller since you're already inside the hotel and the girls are more attractive. Macau obviously wins this category because there's nothing comparable in HK, but if you're already in Macau and are prepared to spend this kind of money, I suggest just going to a sauna instead. Better bang for your buck.

KTV

Similar to SWs, my experience with KTVs is limited, mostly because I can't sing any Chinese or Cantonese songs so I feel that it's a waste of time and money. However, I will give the upper hand to Macau, as it appears to be slightly cheaper and have better quality girls. Macau's KTVs will feature mostly Chinese girls, while HK's will have a good portion that are local girls. The local HK girls don't come cheap though, and they're more stuck up and stingy with their service. KTVs might be a good choice if you're hanging out with a group of friends and some of them are locals, but if not, then I suggest partaking in something else depending on what you fancy. Even the best Macau saunas will be cheaper than a decent KTV experience.

Bars and Clubs

If Macau has its world-class saunas, then HK's answer is its famed bars and clubs. Wanchai, need I say more? The girls will be predominantly South East Asian with a few Chinese and Eastern European girls. If the gentlemen's club thing is too bland for your tastes, then flirting, drinking, and dancing with girls to loud music and later taking them back to your hotel to seal the deal may be more up your alley. The quality depends, but it's usually average to above average. And if you can successfully fend off all those pushes for tequila rock and roll, the price can be fairly cheap, depending on how you negotiate. Sometimes if you're lucky you can even pick up freebies. Macau has nothing similar. Sure, it has some bars where the working girls go to chill after their shifts, but they're off the clock and probably don't pay you much attention unless they're genuinely interested in you. So if drinking and dancing in a club with a high girl to guy ratio is for you, then you can't go wrong with HK.

In closing, both Hong Kong and Macau are great places for mongering. And since they're so close to each other, you should just give everything a try once just to see how you like it. Things work differently for everyone. But if you're not a frequently visitor to this region of the world and time and/or money is a limiting factor, then I hope this guide helps with making a choice. After you've made your choice, please refer to the other great guides on this forum for more detailed reviews of a particular venue, and you'll be all set.

If we throw ZH and CP into the mix, that would make for one complicated comparison. For starters, a visa would be required, the prices would probably be 1/3 to 1/2 of what you're paying in HK and Macau, and the selection would be almost all Chinese!

Langham Place is a very good location for massage and what ever else.
First the hotel has a fantastic spa, expensive and legit. If you are looking for such a massage, it is a place to be.

Dundas 37 is very close, All what you need, but not massage. Only 5 mins walk from the hotel. Since years a nice place for FS. Well described in the forum.

There are plenty of saunas around the hotel, espec. when you walk in parallel to the Nathan road. From time to time I gave one of them a try. What I learnt is that there is a continuous change, means new owners, new location, etc.. If you don't speak Cantonese and you don't like adventures, then wouldn't go there, espec. considering your time window.

Helpful could be a look to the website of 141 forum section. There are some referrers to saunas, mostly up-to-date.

Finally, it seems, that Dundas 37 is the best option for you, espec. it is easy to access and to leave in case you meet someone you don't want to meet in front of the place.

The solution to this problem is easy. Working the Wan Chai bars is public solicitation and is illegal though of course it goes on all the time in full view of LE. 1-4-1 work is legal so they can just do that instead. The Flippers will have to take their place along with all the other girls, see more men per day and charge less. Would be a change for the better IMHO.

Or they can work CL, many of them already do.

Yeah, Galaxy is never busy is it?

As I am about to leave for HK in less than 48 hours, I'm a bit distressed to hear this. I don't see how the whole thing could disappear as, essentially, there's a whole bunch of bars and clubs in Wanchai that are there simply because of the WGs and their clientele.

It goes beyond the girls; there are a lot of businessmen in the area and I doubt that LE would aim to cut off a big appeal of doing business in HK.

I mean, if Wanchai didn't exist, someone would have to invent it for all the Yanks, Brits, French, and Aussies who hang out there.

The other thing is that as long as HK relies on Indo. and Filipino girls for DHs and nannies, there will be a ready supply of women who get sick of that gig and switch to this gig. I saw a few nannies on Sundays who seemed pretty close to WGs already -- at least on Sundays. They could make the switch to FT for the right reasons I bet.

I don't think anyone needs to panic or worry just now. What my "friend" told me was her view of what she saw happening with some of her friends. I doubt very much if the bars would even notice a downturn in business. Galaxy is slightly out of the main area and has always been quieter than the others although when I was there last month I found it busier than normal and better quality as well. We found some good looking girls eager to please, and at the normal rates.
Plenty in Neptunes, Amazonia, Escape etc to keep us going for a while!!

The theory is good but my business takes me to HK. Jetting off for a couple of days to Phil would be easy. What worries me is if something happened to me when I was there - illness, travel problems, pilot strike etc. Don't think I could fabricate a good enough excuse- so no chances taken. Pity, as IMHO the girls from that part of the world are the best.

A true story - 3 mates arranged a golfing holiday in Spain last year. Got to the airport, dumped their golf bags in the left luggage and jetted to Bangkok instead for a week.
