I'll be in Phnom Penh for about 10 days or so later this year. For the upcoming trip, I'd prefer to have an option of one or a couple of longer term gals to be with me.

Any suggestions on how to arrange this? My daytime is in meeting, but I'd like companionship for evenings and touring the countryside.

Chat to some of the girls (most of them are very friendly and affectionate). Ask early on if she will bar-fine, to avoid any later disappointment. Choose a girl that you get on with and who can speak a reasonable amount of English. Spend a night or two with her. If you get on with each other well, invite her on one of your side trips. She will be delighted and usually accept quickly. You will have to pay the bar-fine for the number of days you are away with her plus anything from $25-50 per day for her company 24 hours a day, depending on how generous you feel. Plus accommodation and meals of course.

But it's a bargain for what you get. A constant companion day and night, an interpreter, a shopping bargainer, and a friend.

Just don't make any promises you don't intend to keep regarding supporting her after you've left or anything else.

I guess some guys enjoy it? But, it does seem these places are meant for guys who are going to sit down and buy multiple girls lady drinks and not focus on one girl. And I'm guessing the more drinks you buy, the more hovering girls you will get staring at you. Not my thing and easy enough to get rid of them, but I'm just wondering.

51st. Walkabout seems to have a few acceptable ones most of the time.

Sharkys. Pretty thin right now.

Pontoon. Probably the best place right now.

Heart. Pretty good as always.

Martinis. Thin on talent at the moment.

Of course, everything is subjective. But by hot I mean 18-23, thin with an attractive face.

I also went to Soul massage and Paris and they both had a good selection.

She would not budge from $25 for ST (she first asked $35 and I laughed) despite my counter others of 15/20, so the sake of $5 the deal was signed. Bar fine was $7. Off to Shianoukville, hopefully to find some talent down there.

First of all everything I pictured from reading reports was much different in reality. Somehow I had the idea that Walkabout was an area or free range park or whatnot. It is in fact just a corner bar that serves food. I got my first Cambo girl from here for ST. I ate and was getting ready to leave the bar and she called me over. Small talk. We went outside. I'm not much for small talk so I asked how much. She said $15. I tried my damnedest to get it for $10 but that was not happening. The service was excellent. When we finished I gave her an additional $2 to show me where Heart of Darkness was. I did not know it was in such close proximity to Flamingo Hotel (1 block or less). For reference, Walkabout, Heart of Darkness, and Pontoon are all less than a 2 minute walk from Flamingo and Blue Tongue.

I even found that if you are not into one of the ones who approaches you, it is usually okay to ask one of the approachers about another one of the girls and ask her to bring that one over. Yes, being flashy with the lady drinks does cause more to flock which is why you should set a firm limit in your mind about how many to buy before going in. I've also noticed that some have a bad habit of trying to get you to buy drinks for their "friends" so be wary and firm.

Can someone recommend nice / secure girl freindly hotels beside where the main street bars are. Between say £10-20 per night or $15-40?

There's a hotel / guest house to the right of it that is more like $20-25 and seems nice enough but again, no internet in rooms at all but internet in lobby. The walkabout is $15 or $20 and the rooms are clean but the staircase leading up to them is a bit scummy. No safe in the room though and again no internet.

Right now it seems easy enough to walk in but it's new year later this week, don't know how that will affect hotels. BUT, many of the girls will be going home and some restaurants / bars will be closing.

I just haven't seen that many girls I'm really into especially at the prices they're asking to make it worth the hassle. Maybe just me or maybe just coming from Pats and going back to pats in a week. Next time I come here, I won't go to pats first.

I definitely need a safe, internet I don't care about. BUt you think I can just walk up 136 street and find guesthouse and most / all are girl freindly. Is this the best street to look fro accom?
