Bangkok Hotels
I have made a reservation at Dawin Hotel til the 27th then I might go to Pattaya or who knows. Again thank you all for your input. If you need any advise for Costa Rica or Argentina I have been going there for years and can help. If any one would like to meet and look / drink / eat / chit chat I'm down just in box me.
Sure, since I made the recommendation of the Dawin; do you know of anywhere decent in Argentina you can stay under $400 monthly or yearly? It's about number 8 on places I'm considering moving to next year. To stick to the subject, if you book 5 nights at The Dawin, you get the 5th night half off I believe. They also offers taxis for 300 baht to Pattaya if you stay in their property down there for 2 nights. Nice modern rooms. No bugs. Quiet and near the action. Some of the best Thai food in the area which no one knows. Well made choice unlike the others going to the same hotel for 20 years that now resemble a Newark, New Jersey crack house, with dozens of other better ones have been built since.
Does anyone know anything about this hotel on Soi 13.

Thanks
Has no one heard of this place at all, passed the cancelation date, so going to be staying there, but would love some info, if anyone has to share.

Thanks

Miami is listed as a popular Bangkok Hotel, if I click on Bangkok, with only 1 star. At 943 Baht. Its a shitty Hotel with little maintenance for 20 years I reckon. Not sure if its the worst Hotel on Sukhumvit. There may be a few others worse. I don't think the percentage discount can be too high for such a dump. Imagine if that was 80% off. The normal price would have to be 5 star Hotel price.

But thank you anyway.

To post information (and there are!) so anyone taking his time (since other took their time to post the info) will learn and form himself an opinion. After that, if some points are not clear, one can out specific questions.

IMHO there is no point in asking "which hotel is close to the action?"

A little review of the MO,

Duration 3 nights.

Room State Room 25, 000 BHT per night.

So I arrived via budget taxi (alone) don't use the airport shuttle from the hotel its 3000 baht for a 40 min ride unless your really into the glitz its a waste of money. Hotel staff were exceptionally pleasant as usual. Checked in taken to room where I deliberately pulled out some cash and discussed with the concierge about bringing a girl back for the duration of my stay. He said you book room for 2 so no problem took her name and I slapped some BHT into his hand and asked him to take care of her personally when she arrives.

My escort kept asking "you superstar?" "I think you famous but you no tell me" due to the level of service we received. I can assure you as I did her I am not.

He did this personally bringing her up to my room and carrying her bags. I found this unusual as I find at other hotels the staff although accepting won't help out a local working girl as much as a genuine guest.

The room was dark wood lined and more traditional Thai which I like, bed is of epic proportions and takes every bump and bang in its stride no sore knees and no banging headboard at 5am. Finding myself sweating like Lance Armstrong at dope testing I can vouch for the sheets absorption and dispersion rating.

Food here is fantastic and the French restaurant supposedly one of the top in BK kept its doors open just for me and my girl. We had the whole of Le Normandy to ourselves I felt like royalty and probably spent way too much on the amazing white wine selction, but I will worry about that when the finance debt gets my "working dinner" bill.

Downsides are taxi rides everywhere location is awful if you want mongering, I snuck out to The Grand Tara parlour not too far away but shall do a separate report for that which I'm sure you will enjoy.

View from hotel is epic and if like me you like to press a girl up against the glass and fuck the night away feeling the gentle heat of the rising sun on your balls then this is the place to be.

Love
Hi all,

Has anyone stayed in S15 before? I know it's guest friendly hotel, but read somewhere in TA, everytime need go down to pick the lady because of the key card to activate the lift?

I'll be in BKK for 2 weeks, now choosing between Park Plaza or S15.

Thanks for the advice in advance.
Stayed is S15 back when it newly opened, no trouble with guests, but from memory you had to go down to get them because of the elevator key. Good size rooms, but the usual bathroom floor sloped towards the door, so water everywhere. The restaurant coffee shop was short of customers, but there are plenty other places to eat nearby.
Thank you for the link, I had read the reviews before booking, it was actually some info from mongers I was looking for, had anyone stayed, how GF it was ect ect. But thank you anyway.
Well no one answered you so I am guessing no one has stayed there that is paying attention. Thread search could reveal if any one reported on this Hotel before but I doubt it. You are staying anyway. I don't see any reason for concern. The location is just slightly unusual but within mongering districts where guys are expected to be bringing girls back.
Stayed is S15 back when it newly opened, no trouble with guests, but from memory you had to go down to get them because of the elevator key.
This is very normal Hotel security in any of the modern Hotels. Don't see any reason this would be a problem, except when key doesn't work. Strange thing for the other guy to comment on.

Hotels don't want uninvited guests going upstairs to knock on your door. Like ladyboys going upstairs to knock on some guys door at the Nana Hotel. Very disconcerting for other guests.

The penalty for mongering is you have to show your face downstairs. Tough only if you have a crush on the Hotel receptionist and want to flirt with her.

Silq Hotel and some others have a lift that can completely bypass the reception floor. Perhaps some guys would like this if something is suspect about the girl. The Hotel may post a security guard at the Ground Floor lift though.

Many guys on the forum are complaining bitterly if the girl wants 3000 for the night.

A report about the girl would be more interesting than about the Hotel, as few would doubt the Hotel was lacking anything except a cheap price.

I splurged and stayed at the MO a number of years ago. I paid about $120 / nite which was a lot of money for a BKK hotel at the time. The hotel was worth every penny but I wouldn't stay there again due to location. If you go girl hunting every night it's too far from the action. If the girl found out you paid B25, 000 / nite no wonder she think's you are a superstar.

You obviously enjoy the finer things in life. While I wouldn't spend that kind of money even if I had it, I am happy you can enjoy yourself.

Pedroski
How much did you need to pay for the escort and where did you found here?

A report over your experince with the girl would be also much appriciated.

Thanks
A report about the girl would be more interesting than about the Hotel, as few would doubt the Hotel was lacking anything except a cheap price.
Agreed that a report on the girl would be appreciated, but this is the hotel thread, and so a report on the hotel is the right thing to post. Sounds to me from this report like the MO is great if you have an escort or your own girl, but terrible if you want to go hunting and return with your quarry. So I learned something important from the post, for which I am grateful.

Thanks for posting.
