Dentist or Dental Clinic in BKK
I have have gotten rid of my TGF, who lives in Pattaya, by saying, that I won't be coming to LOS this year.
So I don't want to run into her in Pattaya.
I'd appreciate some recommendations od good dentists in BKK.
Airport Express to Makkasan
I wanted to try out the airport express train, travelling only with a carryon on rolls. I usually stay in the Livingstone Lodge on Soi 33.
I timed the trip from level 1 of the airport. The express train to Makkasan was going to arrive in 4 minutes, so I took that one (it's on a 30 minutes schedule).
The ride was fast and smooth. Arived in Makkasan (Petchaburi / Asoke) in 15 mins. Payment was on arrival. It was still 100 THB, but is 150 THB by now (promotion ended on 4. 1.).
There is no pedestrian link between the train and the subway station, so I started rolling my carryon. You actually have to cross 2 streets to get to the subway.
I could have taken a taxi from the station, but Asoke looked crammed when the train passed it, plus you still have to cross streets or the taxi faces in the wrong direction.
The whole setup is amazingly screwed, given that there has been ample time for some userfriendly traffic planning.
At the subway, a couple of backpackers who also came from the train had to open their backpacks at the security check. I was waved through, though.
Then there was the switch to the BTS at Suk / Asoke, and the walk from Phrom Phong up Soi 33 to the Lodge.
I arrived after exactly 1 hour. I don't think it ever took me more than 1 hour by taxi. I might try out the other train (only one switch to the Phaya Thai BTS, pedestrian-friendly crossover, but 8 stations on the link and a few on the BTS).
Not worth the hazzle, really.
