Driving from Vienna to black sea coast of Romania, is not so desperate, especaily if you have some time and a decent car. And it certianly isn't dangerous, as long, as with all travel, you use your common sense and dont take risks.
Vienna to Bp is 3 .5 hours max, then to Szeged a further 3 hours or so..all good road, most of it "auto route, with tolls.
Yes in Ro its harder, I drove budapest to Constanta 2 years ago (in a range rover) in about 12 hours. So you can do the whole trip in 2 days.
Dont believe the rumours about the mafioso dangers on the route. I 've been driving around East europe for 15 years , including Albanian, Bulgaria, Romania, poland , Turkey etc..and since i can claim to be street wise, never had a problem I could not handle.
If you have time, enjoy the journey, and stop off and see the varied sites, smaple the loca diversions etc!!!
As some of you may klnoew i live in Budapest, and had my lovely girlfriend in Romania (Constanta), whom I met in Turkey. Unfortunately I am now saying goodbye to her due to the pressure of my Hungarian wife. C'est la vie.
Ro and hu women, you cant beat them!
Good luck,
Bp 1

cosmin_adi, Constinesti sounds interesting, I'd never heard of it.
Have you been there recently? How far is it from Constanta? Is it safe?
Do the chicks there usually speak English? Is it easy to score with them the first day you meet them?
Pls reply to me in the 'other areas' section.
Thanks a lot

George33:
In regards to a US B-2 Tourist visa:
Having recently gone through getting my Romanian woman a B-2 visa, I can speak with some knowledge on this topic. What "Gomez" has said is the common belief on the process of getting a tourist visa for a Romanian, yet it cannot be more false.
These are the requirements on items to bring to the B-2 Visa interview directly off the US Embassy's website:
· a fully completed, signed application form for each applicant (including children);
· a passport valid for at least six months after the date on which the applicant plans to depart the U.S. (note: If more than one person is included in the passport, each person desiring a visa must make a separate application);
· the receipt from the Banca Transilvania for the $100 application fee for each person (including children); and
· a passport-type photograph.
These requirements are EASY to complete, you can get the applications from the Embassy or download and print them (In English or Romanian) online. The I-156 form is extremely easy to fill out.
The "Hard" part is the interview itself. You can show up at 7:30AM Mon-Fri at the US Embassy in Bucharest and get in line for an interview. Make sure you have all your appropriate documents with you. Basically to sum everything up, you need to PROOVE (NOT explain, but provide actual proof) these things:
-She does not intend to Immigrate to the US
-She has financial support while in the US
-She has strong ties to Romania to guarantee the Consul officer that she will return.
They will not tell you what exact proof is "good enough" to make the consul officers belive she will return to Romania, so I can't tell you what exactly they are looking for, but I CAN tell you what worked for my girlfriend.
She showed up to the visa interview with the items I listed above, as well as these:
1) We opened a bank account in her name, and I deposited about 2000$ in it. This is a substantial amount of money for a Romanian, and this was good proof of her having a reason to return home.
2) She brought a letter on University letterhead from her school explaining that she has 2 years left until she completes school, letters from a few of her teachers explaining how she is a dedicated student. Another reason for her to return home to complete her school.
3) She explained that she has never left the country in her life, all of her family (mother father, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother) are all in Romania. Another reason for her to return home.
4) I filled out the Affidavit of Support I-134 form and had it notarized (also free download online). This basically is statements from my bank saying how much $ I have deposited in it the past year, along with statements from my employer describing the type of job i have, and the salary. It goes on to state that I am financially responsible for my Romanian friend for the duration of her stay. This fufills the requirement of her having financial support while in the US.
5) I wrote a letter of invitation on her behalf. Basically I wrote that we are good friends, and she and her family have been so kind to host me multiple times on my visits to Romania, and I would like to return the favor and have her visit here for 2 weeks over a holiday. I provided in this letter a detailed travel itinerary, detailed where exactly she would be staying and what we would be doing. I bought expensive REFUNDABLE tickets prior to the interview to proove that she would have a plane ticket home after 2 weeks. If she would have been denied the visa I would have just returned it.
We showed up at 7:30 AM on a Thursday with all these documents (no appointment for interview necessary), she had her interview at 11AM, finished at 11:45AM and was successful in being approved for the B-2. 1.5 months later she had her visa. We were told stories of people recieving their visa's THAT SAME WEEK if the embassy was not backlogged.
At any rate, this was my experience, and this has happened in the past 4 months, so the information is pretty recent.
Hope this helps and possibly gives some of you guys who think a Visitors visa is impossible to get for your Romanian GF realize it really isn't THAT hard. You just need to go to the interview PREPARED.
The most important 2 things are this:
1) BE PREPARED FOR THE INTERVIEW
2) DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE LET ON THAT SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND OR FIANCE IN THE US. JUST TELL THE INTERVIEWER YOU ARE HER FRIEND.
Hope this all helps.

thank you for sustaining me but I did not say that pimps are police - ussually when you have a public function in Romania, you cannot have another "job" it is too risky' well of course i do not know everything. My opinion is that the pimps eat each other, it is a continuos fight between them, they use any way to break down each other business, even provide lovers ... let me explain: to break down his other competitor business, one pimp cannot go to police to declare anything of course; instead he is hiring a person (man or woman depends on his rival sex) which create problems (this paid person try to crook, to threaten in order to make the one pay as much as he or she can, or, if cannot, he or she will have give up the business) to his enemy, this way making a fuss around his enemy trying to convince this one to call himself police. This paid person pretend to be in love, to ask for his rights; it is a whole game - so also pimps pay - well some of them which had less cold blood.
It is a nice industry here - once I've been in a place (which was mentioned several times here) and since it was the second time I've visited the place (first time I drank something and take no girl from them), they didnt give me any drink this time.
So beware of this kind of places, where you cannot go with your lover, but you have to take one of them ...
-
as you can see, nothing has changed on this board
many pimps are strongly advertising their merchandise and few punters are trying to share their knowledge of the game
-
I think everybody is advertising about sex on this board even you
Mr. Pontello ?!
Shall I go back to show you where you have given phone numbers?
But I never put any phone numbers on this board, I think this means to advertise? Do you feel like the guys I described there,... somehow?
Let's talk about another place in Bucharest, a very central and famous one where the pimps are staying at the entrance converted into "taxi drivers" - but they are so obvious... also there you can have only one of their girls, otherwise next time you cannot enter. Well, one must respect thier business, one is the owner and do what he wants, but this way he will lose one by one all the clients; it is not my care, many people found out about it now and they avoid that place when they have in mind other business then fucking their girls
-
drakes, don't joke
I have put a number on the board just to clarify it's a trick because I have been almost ripped off by that girl and her pimp
that's it...
if you prefer to believe I'm a pimp I don't mind at all
anyway I was not talking of you in my last post but just trying to alert who's reading such enthusiastic reports...

I consider that free message boards like these cannot be used for advertising any names since anyone can put an add here especialy those which want to promote their business or those which want to create trouble (doesnt mean that i do not appreciatte it, but this is only for changing opinions, not for adding names ) - the secure ones are those where one has to use his credit card to access his account. I know one - let me know if you know more; write their url here.
By the way, do you know any romanian porno sites? Give their url here. (all I know are usual porn, with normal and oral only)
Also we have to take into account that not everyone know to use internet or this site at least, so it is like a closed circuit (only for persons with certain skills and interests)...why don't you gossip more? Do you know for ex. persons which started as escorts or gigolos and now are against it? (the truth is that somebody has to be against it to create an equilibrium)...or other spicy news?

For those of us who need a little bit of extra help from time to time the following web site might be of interest if you're in Bucharest:
http://www.onlineclinic.ro/indexengleza.htm
I visited them this morning and came away with 20mg Cialis for around $14 a tab. Viagra is also available should you only need a quickie! I'm planning to try out the Cialis, which apparently has a longer lasting effect, over a dirty weekend with a young cutie later this month!

Thanks Digital,
I would like to hear "How it works out." This weekend, and the effects!

I shall be visiting Bucharest soon and intend renting an apartment.
Has anybody any recommendations?
I have also had a look at the following website

Has anybody had any experiences with any of these ladies, either good or bad? I would appreciate any comments.

Heh guys!
I am planning go to Romania toward the end of November and after reading this forum, I am not sure if I should go to Timisoara or to Bucharest. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which is better in term of the quality, ease of finding, and price of the girls. How are the local scene for picking up girls if I am around 30 years old. Which city would be better if I don't speak any Romanian.
I am hoping to get an apartment there during my stay. Are there any line ups like in Moscow from the gypsy pimps? Or are all the girls inside houses and I need to contact the gypsy pimps to find them?
Additionally, if anyone is planning a trip to Romania toward the end of November, please let me know. Maybe we can hook up for a day or so.
Zergut

I have read quite a few reports that mention "The Mall" in Bucharest. What is this Mall and where is it? Do you think that at 70 years of age I can meet a lady (probably in her forties) willing to have a meal and a bit of fun in my apartment? Experience comes with age and at my age I am not very demanding, marathon sex is out of the question.
