I tried to show you the way to go, but if you are dead set on a hotel, I cant help you. If you are going to be picking up girls, it is best to have a condo, and you will notice when you meet a girl this is one of the things they will ask you, because they dont want any hassles. So good luck with your search.

I agree, I have not seen any cockroaches. but I am sure it is possible, but whats the big deal, that can happen anywhere. I am sure the place wasnt over run with them. Personally though, I have stayed in many apartments and have never seen one.

I picked new tix for Nov 8-11 in CTG. I caved on Spirit's $49 fare. Have to love it. RT fare of $98 and Taxes and fees of $158. 70. How fucked up is that. Even with the bag fees it is still cheaper then anything out there from ORD to CTG. God I hope these seats recline.

If anyone is in CTG on these dates PM me so we can meet up. I will do LDV but want to explore more of Centro.

Thanks[/QUOTE]Blago, I understand why you believe that you will feel more comfortable in a hotel given your lack of fluency in Spanish and with this being your first visit to CTG. That being said, what most guys here will tell you is that your concern or hesitancy in renting an apartment (while understood) is unnecessary.

If you rent an apartment from either Mery or Juan, you'll be in a safe area (Laguito) and a secured building. While the guy at the reception desk won't speak much, if any, English (but he will be used to dealing with non-fluent Spanish speakers), both Mery and Juan do and will assist you upon your arrival if you request it. All you'll need to do upon check-in is provide the guy at the desk your name and what unit you have reserved, provide your passport so he can complete a small amount of paperwork, and sign your name (and a fingerprint at some buildings and a small administrative fee at some buildings). He willl then give you the keys to your apartment and you're on your way.

If you still insist on a hotel, then just go with the Hilton. Just use the search feature within this thread on the word "Hilton" to see what others have posted herewithin. Also visit the separate thread on this Forum titled "Cartagena Hotels and Rental Apartments". If you desire many different chicas (pros), don't blame me or anyone else here if you end up disappointed with a stay at the Hilton because they don't always grant entrance to one or more of your guests.

I was in CTG in 2008. I enjoyed it tremendously and decided to go back Novemeber 2010.

This time three of my friends want to monger also. Got Flight rented 5 star Apartment..ready to go.

The Apartment owner now tells me there is a New Tourism law (April 2010)that will not allow prepagos in the tourist apartments or in hotels.

Is this true?

I need a monger companion friendly, 4-5 star 3-4 bedroom apartment or hotel for 4 guys. Can anyone help me?

I need help. I booked a airfare and an 5 star 4 bedroom apartment in CTG, for me and 3 of my monger buddies, mid Novemeber, 2010.

I just got off the phone with the apartment owner who tells me there are new tourism laws (April 2010) that will not allow the prepagos (working women) to accompany us into the tourism apartment or hotels! No Women! ahhhh! Is this true?

I need a nice (4-5 star) monger companion friendly apartment or hotel in CTG for Mid Novemeber. Any Recomendations?

I have been there for 10+ years, this is just not true about putas. Some apt bldgs are more restrictive but there are plenty of apts that only want a cedula to cover their ass. Juan Ventura had a house with pool in Laguito that is great for a party. He also has several penthouses.

If you are scheduled during the Miss Colombia pageant (Nov 8-15) then they dropped you because that and New Years are the busiest times of the year for Cartagena.

If I had to guess I would say that the other occupants of the apartment gave the guy a hard time for some previous drama and now he's just trying to cover his ass. When I rented in Mede and Bogota there always was a "No Loud Parties" clause in the rental agreement because every day colombians lived in the building too and while I'm going nuts with my boys and a gang of sluts some guy named Hector has to go to work at 6am.
