Bangkok Massage Parlors - Except TULIP and ANNIES!
Not being ornery here, but it would have been better if you had mentioned the price before you went up. The website WAS clear on the dates.Thais suck at anything related to computers except downloading virally infected mp3s and playing MMORPG games. That "20 minutes to make" JustHost template site was just too confusing for them to change. Also, remember, TIT? Procrastination reigns supreme.World axiom: "Always check the price before doing the deed." (No matter how much you trust the provider.)Just be glad you weren't in Soho or somewhere similar, two skin headed bouncers covered with tats would have taken you around the corner to the ATM and cleaned your account, just for offering your 'opinion' on the pricing: "AFTERWARDS"! :D
Sorry, but if you bothered to look at their promotion page, you would have seen the promotion is according to the website currently in effect and not date limited:"Mondays to Fridays, come in before 6 pm and get a discount !!100 baht off for a one hour massage200 baht discount for a 2 hour massageGreat value and sexy girls, see you soon"There is nothing on that page that states an expiration date for the promotion. And nothing about your idiotic Soho bouncer example takes away from the fact Victoria Massage, which I had wanted to like and support, is engaging in poor business practices that is going to result in them losing whatever customer base they had hoped to have.
Not being ornery here, but it would have been better if you had mentioned the price before you went up. The website WAS clear on the dates. :D
I attempted to respond to Barko's post earlier, but for whatever reason my post has not made it to the board yet. So, let me be clear. Anyone who looks at their website: www.Victoriamassagesoi39.com, and presses the promotion link, will see that at least today the promotion is supposedly still in effect. Perhaps Barco thinks that the statement that Nadia and Jane will only be giving sessions themselves for one month, has something to do with the duration of the discount promotion. They are separate issues unrelated to one another. As to the statement I should have asked before the session whether the promotion was in effect (as their website indicated it was), in my case this is truly irrelevant. Had after schepping out to their place I asked before the session and they said no, despite what is on the website we are not honoring the promotion, I would have paid the extra 200 baht, noted it was on their website currently, and then reported here Victoria massage was engaging in poor business practices by advertising a promotion they weren't honoring. As it turned out, I mentioned the advertised promotion after the session, was told it no longer was in effect, mentioned it was on their website, and when they refused to honor it I paid the extra 200 baht (withough further argument) and reported here they are engaging in poor business practices by advertising a promotion the weren't honoring. Same same.Although perhaps my response earlier to Barco's skinhead comments may have resulted in my post not getting past the censors here (or maybe they are just taking their time in posting to this thread), I still think reasonable people would object to what seems like his "acting out" by posting such nonsense. I would suggest that my response to Barco's essentially calling me a liar about the dates of the promotion, and his gratuitous skinhead comments, are the problem, not anything I have posted or attempted to post.
Sorry, but if you bothered to look at their promotion page, you would have seen the promotion is according to the website currently in effect and not date limited:
Yes, but the scary thing is that I inadvertently DID see the website two days ago while looking for an old fave, (Guitar,) and there clearly was a date cap that ended back in May, I chuckled a bit over how retarded it was and made note of it. The website has since been edited, and the site change reflects a new promo taking place now.All I can say, LA Guy, is that you should be glad you weren't here 20 years ago, argumentative guys in Patpong got their wallets disassembled, their faces rearranged, and sometimes even an overnight trip to the old Lumpini police station. No joke. Nobody cared if the thing was going to hurt business, (it didn't.) The Soho comment, viable and real for today, was generated from that.I've been here in Thailand for 26 years and have been mongering worldwide for fifty years since I was 15 (Tijuana- Blue Note, Long Bar, Blue Fox, etc. Google them, dangerously crazy places all, hint: not the gentlemanly TJ scene of today.) There are some basic unwritten rules, and making absolutely sure of the price BEFOREHAND is one of them.Back to Thailand, you've obviously never seen a guy get his ass kicked here over a simple argument. It is seriously nasty nasty business when five Thai guys are stomping some poor sap over a $2 'misunderstanding'. Again, nobody gives a fat shit if some farang dude thinks it's bad for business, not even the farangs.Word up guy, just check that your previously assumed price base is on target, BEFORE you go upstairs. Please! :D
Whoops! I meant Soi 39. Isn't there a way to edit one's posts like on Jackson's Argentina board? Or have I missed something? (at least I finally figured out the correct way to quote another report).
As a Senior Member, I am always able to edit my posts.I also think you are overrreacting to Barko's post, which seemed pretty benign to me. I don't think he intended any offence...

Just to keep things in perspective here.Someone had what sounds like (repeat visit) great sex with a beautiful girl (http://www.victoriamassagesoi39.com/index.php?p=1_3_Victoria-s-Ladies) and overpaid by $6. I for know that it wouldn't stop me from going back. There is so much on this board about finding the right shop, the right lady, and enjoying the experience. It sounds like the gentleman found that, was overcharged a bit unfairly, and now will go looking somewhere else. Hmmm.Is it right to be overcharged? No. But should it ruin your day? But then again, to each his own.Enjoy and never lose perspective on the beauty that is BKK massage shops.
Although perhaps my response earlier to Barco's skinhead comments may have resulted in my post not getting past the censors here (or maybe they are just taking their time in posting to this thread),
Welcome to IGS. Jackson usually previews newbie posts before letting it go live, so expect a time-lag for your post.
Barco's essentially calling me a liar about the dates of the promotion, and his gratuitous skinhead comments, are the problem
I don't think he meant any personal offense....you need some thick skin on this board :D
It sounds like the gentleman found that, was overcharged a bit unfairly, and now will go looking somewhere else. Hmmm.Is it right to be overcharged? No. But should it ruin your day?
Actually, I have a long list of places I visit regularly in Bangkok that treat me right. Tulip, Mango, and Snow White for starters. I don't have to "look for" somewhere else. That is one of the luxuries of mongering in Bangkok. Also keeping things in perspective, Victoria is a bit out of the way and takes a bit of an effort to get to (moreso than the other places just mentioned). There are fewer girls in the lineup than at the other places. AND, I have seen at least one other complaint on this board, maybe more, about how they are operating their business, so I don't think it is unfair for me to provide supplemental information on this subject. And no, what happened did not ruin my day, nor is the issue whether I paid $6 more or not, which is not consequential to me (if that was the issue, I would have at least put up some sort of argument, rather than simply noting to them their website shows the promotion and then paying the $6/200 baht). But it is precisely because there are so many good options in Bangkok that IMHO those of us who frequent these places should reward those that treat us right by visiting them, and penalize those that do not. My original post was simply meant to convey my experience and provide a word of warning to others that people can take as they want. Parenthetically, after my first visit to Victoria, I posted a favorable review on another website (where I'm anything but a newbie), and I suppose I should now in all fairness to those who may read it go back there and post my latest not-so-good experience. As to the "thick-skin" requirement for posting here, I don't pretend to understand why but in my experience this board and one of Jackson's companion boards don't strike me as very friendly places overall. That is precisely why I have over 5, 100 posts on a competing board, and around 50 in the aggregate on Jackson's boards. Although the majority of my posts on one of his other boards were favorable reviews of various casas in Argentina, the moment I posted something negative about one of them, I acquired a board stalker who continued bad-mouthing me on that board for about six months. I suppose I could develop a thicker skin and not care if in response to my posts verifiable falsehoods are posted, or skinhead anecdotes or, as in the case of the other Jackson board I could gladly enjoy being called an "idiot" (verbatim quote) and so forth. Alternatively, I could continue to post primarily in more friendly environments.

Why Barko thinks my reporting to this board that a massage place is not honoring its web promotion warrants a lecture on "argumentative guys" is beyond me. But then again, I only have about 35 years experience mongering, and my first trip to Bangkok was only eight years ago, and I've only spent in the aggregate about six months in Thailand, so I guess he is the expert.

enough bickering over 6 dollars...on one of my trips to and through bangkok, and this particular one seeing me with a nasty case of a cold. this was a complete version, with clogged nose, shiny eyes, coughing, you name it. picture-perfect cold. not that i would let that stop me from enjoying what bangkok has to offer!after checking in, i was definetely not in the mood for going out prowling the sois and saunas. i was in the mood for some tom yam goong to clear the sinuses, followed by servicing from a true professional. all in the comfort of my own room. room-service takes many guises in this town...the soup was ordered, and then a call to mango massage. they had "too many girls" to quote them, so i simply asked them to send over a young, energetic and openminded woman. a few minutes ahead of schedule, and after my sinus-clearing soup, the knock on the door came and in came the lady for the next two hours.she had an apt name, and as usual posters with track-records consisting of good reporting and well-treatment of ladies will be given the name. posters with nothing but comments and playing diplomatic can go out and find their own adventures.showering followed by a range of gymnastically minded bodily exuberance followed. there was scarcely a piece of furniture left untouched by the romp through the room. nothing was off limits.the lady herself may not be to everyone's taste as she is not particularly well-endowed top-side. and one of her nipples is inverted (although i can confirm that it pops right out again given the right treatment). frequent visitors of mango's can by now likely figure out who she is.bangkok being what it is, i followed up the night-time naughtie with a relaxing event at [CodeWord901]'s the following morning. i am pleased to report the arrival of younger and more visually appealing women there, and one of them had me literally grunting from her skills. nevermind the wall of severely over-the-hill women outside. spend 30 secs to look at the less assuming ones, and you will find them there. she even stripped unasked for, and that is always a nice touch.what is there not to love about a place like bangkok?

LA Guy 5, we are glad to hear you had a good time here with Grace. We don't want you or anyone else to feel bad when they leave the shop. We care about giving customers good service and thank everyone who gives us feedback. Yes, we do read this forum everyday. If you care to come back and meet with Grace again, or anyone else, we will happily return the 200 baht to you. Please understand that our website is updated by someone else and it does not happen quickly.http://www.victoriamassagesoi39.com/
If you don't like it here, and feel more loved elsewhere, why did you come here in the first place, and why do you continue to post here? Just curious...
I came here in the first place to contribute. After attempting to do so and having to endure the kind of nonsense Barco responded with, I will not continue posting here with the one caveat that if Barco or anyone else responds to the posts I already have posted with false information, or condescending insults, I may respond. Hope your curiousity has been satisfied.

Having sex with a lady tends to have this kind of effect on guys. And if you say something negative about the lady instead of simply expressing your dissatisfaction with her. Then you are inviting a verbal retaliation from guys who do like her. When a lady has many boyfriends, then you need to be tactful in how you speak about her in public. Or else her numerous boyfriends might have an issue with you.And this kind of thing isn't limited to this forum only. Guys will react the same way, no matter in which forum you speak. Unless it's a new forum without a lot of members, and then you don't get much of a reaction at all.
"Nadia and Jane are hopefully reading this."I recently visited Victoria Massage, Soi 37, twice. Since I liked Jane personally when she worked at Tulip, I was rooting for the place even though it is a bit out of the way and doesn't have the number of girls Tulip, Snow White, or Mango, does.Anyway, after having a rather good session with Grace, I returned for a repeat. I arrived at a time their promotion (according to their website) was in effect: 200 baht discount for a two-hour session. So, I had another rather good session with Grace, and when I went downstairs to pay Nadia and mentioned their promotion she said the promotion had expired. When I mentioned it was still listed on their website, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "yeah, I need to call the website guy to have him change that."Bottom line, this business, which already was facing rather long odds to succeed, is going out of its way to alienate its client base. Or, in my case, its former client base. Don't they realize there are a lot of options for us in Bangkok, and if you treat us badly, we are not going to return? I wouldn't be surprised to see Jane and Nadia working at Tulip again in a few months, if Tulip will have them back.
L.A. Guy 5,Didn't get a chance to respond to your post earlier but I will now after you got hammer.I won't jump directly into the conversation regarding Mango but I will just say if you spend more time in Thailand what you saw on Mango website is very common! When you talk about mongering website for example like Go Go's, massage parlors you will see in their website of girls, beautiful etc... you get there and ask for her, you might "get she on holiday" which means many times she no longer works there? or she there comes up and you think what the hell happen? when was this picture taken? Now thinking what the hell should I do? not only did you get the bait and switch you're thinking now how do I do the bait and switch myself. Here is another example.. in Pattaya there is a furniture store name Index, they have signs throughout the town showing 70% off.. these signs have been there forever since I got here 10 years ago! to them why take them down we might have another sale soon so the thinking is just leave them up! There no law against it?Example again: All around town you have advertisments for Condos, interested get there and you find out that these signs for maybe the first phrase 4 years ago! Price doesn't exist!Example again: Go to any super market find a product you like because of the price go to the register and it is another price why? they stack everything so tight if it overlaps what is the big deal. I can go on and on.... shit like this drives many Farangs crazy because in many places we come from there are real consumers laws that favors consumers and we get the lower price. You know what I mean! But in Thailand you get what you experience at Mango! When in doubt you get the national pass time saying " Mai Pen Rai " which means your right! but pay up and shut up! They don't take it personally and you shouldn't either! As for the $6 bucks, all that matters is was it worth it to you? Can you get that at home? This topic should be a Thread it has been discussed to death instead of LK Metro? Sorry Jackson had to stick that in don't know why but I did?LBM

Frequent visitors of Mango's can by now likely figure out who she is....
The lady's inverted nipple isn't necessarily a permanent condition. A lot of sucking on that nipple will stretch out her breast tissue and make her nipple look normal permanently. Breastfeeding a baby usually makes the lady's inverted nipples look normal. But when the lady doesn't have a baby, then it's up to the guys to help the lady look better and suck on her tit a lot.
